School Board Attempts To Silence Parent Reading Out Pedo Porn Books From Its Own Library

A school board in Virginia attempted to cut off a mother who read out loud from disgusting pedophilia porn books stocked in the school’s own library as part of a “diversity and inclusion” drive.

Stacy Langton addressed Fairfax High School officials on the matter, reading from two books she discovered at the institution.

Langton said “After seeing a September 9th school board meeting in Texas on pornography in schools, I decided to check the titles at my child’s high school, Fairfax High School. The books were available, and we checked them out. Both of these books include pedophilia, sex between men and boys.”

She added that “The illustrations include fellatio, sex toys, masturbation, and violent nudity.”

‘War criminal! Out!’ Protesters greet Hillary Clinton as she becomes chancellor of university in Northern Ireland

Former US top diplomat and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton became the first female chancellor of Queen’s University in Belfast, but her triumphant entrance was picketed by hecklers branding her as a “war criminal.”

Clinton was inaugurated on Friday as the first-ever female chancellor of Queen’s, a public university dating back to the 1840s. She was actually appointed to the five-year term in 2020, but her installation was delayed on account of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Cries of “Shame on Queen’s! Shame on you!” and “War criminal! Out! Out! Out!” could be heard from protesters outside the university’s gates as Clinton made her way into the building, a little girl following behind, carrying her cape.

Kids went hungry at one Philly school this week because of staff shortages: ‘It’s inhumane’

Children at one city school went hungry Thursday because of staff shortages hitting the Philadelphia School District and an apparent central office operational failure.

No breakfast or lunch ever arrived to feed children at Mitchell Elementary in Southwest Philadelphia — and it wasn’t the first time this term meals failed to arrive at the school.

District staff told Mitchell at 9 a.m. Thursday that neither food nor staff would be sent to the school at 55th and Kingsessing, according to a letter sent to parents by the principal and obtained by The Inquirer.

“As soon as stores opened, I ordered pizza for 400 students to attempt lunch service,” Stephanie Andrewlevich, the Mitchell principal, wrote. “Some of the pizzas arrived and were served to students, some have not arrived as of 2:15 p.m. students were not served.”

'This Is Our Space! You're White!' Black Activists Order White Students to Leave 'Multicultural' Center at ASU

Video out of Arizona State University on Thursday shows a pair of black activists ordering two white students to leave a "multicultural" center for being white.

"You're white!" one of the female black activists screamed at two white ASU students who were quietly studying. "Do you understand what a multicultural space-- it means you're not being centered!"

"This white man thinks he can take up our space... he thinks he can get away with this!" one of the activists said.

Virginia Teacher Says ‘Positive Behavior’ Like ‘Sitting Quietly,’ ‘Following Directions’ Is White Supremacy

A Virginia high school teacher posted a TikTok video criticizing the state’s disciplinary approach which promotes such rules as sitting quietly and following directions as “white supremacy.”

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a framework adopted by Virginia “to support positive academic and behavioral outcomes for all students” through “evidence-based prevention and intervention behavioral strategies.”

“I stated that PBIS is white supremacy with a hug and a lot of y’all wanted to know more about that,” the teacher said in the video that was originally posted to his TikTok account in May and reposted Monday. “So if PBIS concerns itself with positive behaviors, we have to ask ourselves, ‘Okay well what are those positive behaviors?’ And it’s things like making sure that you’re following directions, and making sure that you’re sitting quietly, and you are in your seat and all these things that come from white culture.”

White Liberal Mother Regrets Offering Daughter as Ritual Sacrifice to Diversity Gods of the Globalist American Empire

Dear Care and Feeding,

I am a liberal, White, upper-middle-class parent, and we live in a mixed-income, racially integrated urban neighborhood. When it came time to enroll our daughter in high school, we selected a school that was majority Black because it was close by, and we rejected the notion of getting caught up in which magnet school was most prestigious. Our daughter had a horrible time there—she was harassed so much that we had to pull her out, and other non-Black students there were victimized because of their race. I am struggling to make sense of the experience. I think she’s managed it well and hasn’t let it affect her general views on race, and I believe I’m doing the same, but mostly I am just so angry that our daughter had to endure this, and I feel guilty that I put her in this position.

K–12: the Clutter is the Message

Traditionally, education was focused on facts, information, details, content, learning, and knowledge, all of these hopefully leading to wisdom. Now we've gone to the other extreme.

The students learn little, and they cannot connect one fragment of information to another. Classrooms are filled with chatter. The brains of students are overflowing with nothing much.

This shift is bizarre. Wasn't it always assumed we were searching for the truth, for higher understanding, for the inner workings of reality, for the nitty-gritty, as slang had it?

If you mentioned any of that to today's students, they would wonder what you're babbling about.

By weird accident, or more probably a century-long plot, our Education Establishment embraced every method guaranteed to kick facts to the curb. There are so many examples:

Just 56% of Americans can name all three branches of government — a 15-year high!

Moreover, following a divisive impeachment trial, contentious election, multiple court battles, and deadly riot at the Capitol, Americans have come out of the last year with a great understanding of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Three-quarters of the poll (74%) correctly stated that the First Amendment protects the freedom of speech. However, fewer respondents knew it also protects the freedom of religion (56%), freedom of the press (50%), the right to assembly (30%), or the right to petition (20%).

Minneapolis school goes remote over encampment concerns

A Minneapolis high school has switched to virtual learning and moved some classes off-site because of safety concerns after an encampment sprung up on school property this summer.

Volunteers of America High School, an alternative school of about 85 students near the intersection of East Franklin Avenue and Cedar Avenue, will continue holding virtual and off-site classes until they are “assured of the physical and emotional safety of both students and staff,” said Julie Manworren, president and CEO of Volunteers of America Minnesota and Wisconsin, in a statement to the Reformer.

“For many months, we have been reaching out to law enforcement, city, county and state officials as well as our community partners in the neighborhood, sharing information and making them aware of the needs of our students and staff,” Manworren said. “While we are frustrated by the increasing violence and lawlessness around our school building, we remain hopeful for a shared solution.”

3 U.S. Teachers Awarded $185 Million from Monsanto for Chemical Exposure

(Herald Net) – Three Monroe public school teachers have been awarded $185 million in damages after a King County Superior Court jury found the chemical company Monsanto was responsible for health issues caused by exposure to toxic chemicals in fluorescent lights.

The teachers, who worked at the Sky Valley Education Center in Monroe, said they suffered brain damage from exposure to polychlorinated biphenyls, or PCBs, in the fluorescent light fixtures at the school, according to The Associated Press.

“This is a big step in holding Monsanto accountable for poisoning every man, woman and child in North America,” Rick Friedman, one of the attorneys representing the women, said in a statement. “If politicians won’t make Monsanto clean up its mess, juries will.”...

Massachusetts Activates National Guard To Bus School Children After Vax Mandate Staffing Shortages

Amid fresh national, state and local vaccine mandates being driven forward by the Biden administration, schools and public services have clearly been most immediately hit by personnel shortages as a large chunk of the population remains 'vaccine hesitant' - or refuses to be forced into a mandated Covid vaccine, or perhaps are also already immune through a prior infection. Other staff are said to fear catching coronavirus from the largely unvaccinated student population.

States like Massachusetts are now struggling with public school staffing shortages to the point that children literally can no longer take the bus to school as there aren't enough drivers. The large school district of Boston, for example, admitted at the start of the school year that the vaccine requirement would inevitably result in drivers staying home. "City leaders say part of the reason for the shortage in Boston is that some drivers are not vaccinated, which is a requirement," a local report underscored.

Materials for the class include a slide listing “perfectionism,” “sense of urgency,” “quantity over quality,” and “individualism” as “Cultural norms of White Supremacy.” -- Keep in mind that our founders envisioned strong states led by a decentralized federal government because they valued rugged individualism over the collectivism of a powerful overarching authoritarian state — so that should give you a better idea about the kind of people these leftists are.

Journalism Schools Produce 'Useless' Degrees, Leaving Graduates Deep In Debt

The WSJ's education reporters have been on a roll lately, publishing a deeply reported series of stories about the unintended consequences of the fact that there's no lending cap on the federal government's "Grad Plus" student loan program. By allowing students with little to no income to borrow unlimited funds to further their education in the graduate domain (while leaving taxpayers on the hook for losses), pricey graduate degree programs have proliferated like the clap. And surprisingly, only a small fraction of these programs allow the average graduate to comfortably pay off their loans without financial help from their parents.

Harvard's $42 Billion Endowment Says It Will Stop Investing In Fossil Fuels

It isn't just ETFs that are rebranding as ESG - now, Harvard's is foregoing potential hefty dividends and gains in the oil and gas industry to be able to slap the ESG title on the college's $42 billion endowment, which said this week it would stop investing in fossil fuels.

The school said it'll use its endowment to "support the green economy", according to Yahoo and Bloomberg.

We guess it's a good thing that generating free cash flow isn't important anymore.

The fund's manager, Harvard Management Co., "does not intend to make such investments in the future” and currently has no oil and gas exposure, according to President Larry Bacow.

The fund is making the change after what Bloomberg calls "years of sustained activism from students calling for fossil-fuel divestment".

College Textbook Says People Who Oppose Lockdowns Caused COVID Deaths

A textbook assigned as required reading at a North Carolina community college is loaded with assertions that anyone opposing lockdowns and masking is directly to blame for COVID deaths and the spread of the virus.

Campus Reform obtained a copy of the document, which states that the severe restrictions imposed by the Biden government “saved tens of thousands of lives” and that Americans who flout them should be held responsible, despite scientific research that has found lockdowns will actually cause millions of excess deaths.

A passage in the book reads “Most Americans responded to the pandemic by limiting their social contact, covering their faces when going out, and washing their hands thoroughly after they did,” adding “yet lives were lost because some Americans held beliefs that were at odds with the facts.”

Chicago, Portland, Louisville mayors appear to back CRT in schools before names removed from sponsors list

The mayors of four major cities appeared to back a resolution adopted by the U.S. Conference of Mayors supporting critical race theory, or CRT, in public K-12 schools before their names were suddenly removed from a list of sponsors.

The resolution adopted by the Conference of Mayors, which describes itself as a "non-partisan organization of cities with a population of 30,000 or larger," initially listed the following four mayoral sponsors: Louisville, Kentucky, Mayor Greg Fischer; Boise, Idaho, Mayor Lauren McLean; Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot; and Portland, Oregon, Mayor Ted Wheeler, as seen in a Wednesday screenshot posted to Twitter by CRT critic and journalist Christopher Rufo.

By Thursday morning, however, all four mayors' names had disappeared from the resolution stating that "the nation's mayors support the implementation of CRT in the public education curriculum to help engage our youth in programming that reflects an accurate, complete account of BIPOC history…"

God & National Anthem Not Allowed In Schools, But This Is Encouraged?

California's Board of Education was hit with a lawsuit for making kids chant and pray to Aztec gods in their curriculum.

A group of concerned parents and a third-party foundation in San Diego have launched a lawsuit against California’s education leadership for forcing children to exercise ancient religions in the school curriculum.

The foundation in charge of the suit is the offshoot of a ballot measure committee created to defeat last year’s Proposition 16 that would have allowed employers, universities and other agencies to consider race, gender, ethnicity, and country of origin in hiring, enrollment, and contracting decisions. It would have overturned Proposition 209, which ended affirmative action in public education, employment, and contracting in 1996.

The Frankfurt School, known more appropriately as Critical Theory, is a philosophical and sociological movement spread across many universities around the world. The Institute was founded in 1923 thanks to a donation by Felix Weil with the aim of developing Marxist studies in Germany. After 1933, the Nazis forced its closure, and the Institute was moved to the United States where it found hospitality at Columbia University in New York City.

The Downsides of Masking Young Students Are Real

Scientists have an obligation to strive for honesty. And on the question of whether kids should wear masks in schools—particularly preschools and elementary schools—here is what I conclude: The potential educational harms of mandatory-masking policies are much more firmly established, at least at this point, than their possible benefits in stopping the spread of COVID-19 in schools. To justify continued masking of schoolkids—with no end date in sight—we have to prove that masks benefit kids, and at what ages. States and communities that are considering masking policies just to be safe should recognize that being overly cautious has a cost, while the benefits are uncertain.

Profs: Princeton diversity office’s ‘nihilistic’ attack on university’s history and anti-woke dissidents

As members of the class of 2025 arrive on campus, they receive a mandatory injection not of a vaccine against COVID, but of indoctrination.

An official video freshmen are required to watch presents an utterly one-sided and negative picture of Princeton’s history. The video and the accompanying Web site are expensively produced. Yet slick production values do nothing to offset the tendentious slant.

The video/site includes a two-minute discourse in which classics professor Dan-el Padilla Peralta characterizes free speech as a “privilege,” rather than a right, and in which he disparages the speech of others with whom he disagrees as “masculine-ized bravado.” Padilla Peralta goes on to extol “free speech and intellectual discourse that is [sic] flexed to one specific aim, and that aim is the promotion of social justice, and an anti-racist social justice at that.”

James Hingeley, a lawyer in Virginia with ties to the Soros-funded Justice and Safety PAC and to Tholen (the target of the action he was brought on to defend), dismissed the action in a court filing Friday.

Army contracting officers posted a solicitation to SAM.gov for a vendor capable of developing a facial recognition and video analytics system and integrating that with the Fort Jackson CDC’s closed-circuit television system.

If successful, the system will be used for “monitoring the health and well-being of children in the CDC,” according to the performance work statement.

“The use of close-circuit television video-recording is common in CDCs for security purposes, however these feeds are not continually monitored during all hours of operation in live time,” the solicitation notes. “Instead, CDC staff log scheduled hours by watching the live video feeds periodically throughout the day for the mandated metrics.”

Battle over critical race theory may end up leading the US to civil war. Privatizing all schools is a solution

The only way to reduce tensions on whether critical race theory should be taught to American children is privatizing all schools. This won’t stop infighting completely but at least each side will be somewhat accommodated.

Some parents maintain that the US is a racist country and if it has any chance whatsoever of turning this around, CRT must be part of our educational system. Merely avoiding the subject is itself racist they aver, and that should not be tolerated.

Others, equally adamant, take the opposite position. In their perspective, CRT is itself racist; it takes on the key aspects of communism to boot. Over their dead bodies should their precious young children be subjected to such an evil abomination, they say.

My own viewpoint is the latter. However, I am not now concerned with the substantive merits of CRT, one way or the other. Instead, I approach this issue with the goal of reducing tensions. I want to point to a compromise.

Progressive School System Basically Teaching That Bin Laden Was Righteous

As the 20th anniversary of 9/11 inches nearer, teachers in Virginia schools are being instructed to avoid connecting the attacks to Islam and instead focus on "anti-Muslim racism."

Near the start of each school year, many U.S. schools wrestle with how to teach about 9/11 – the deadliest foreign attack ever on American soil.

Virginia state's Department of Education recently hosted a speaker, described as an "education leadership scholar" who alleged that anti-Muslim sentiment rises around the anniversary of the attacks targeting the nation's political, military and economic centers that killed nearly 3,000 people.

Homeschooling reaches critical mass

The number of U.S. kids who are homeschooled has nearly doubled during the pandemic.

Why it matters: Some parents have lost faith in traditional schools, others fear exposing their kids to the coronavirus — and the broad exodus could further weaken America's struggling public education system.

By the numbers: Nearly 2.6 million kids have switched from traditional school to homeschooling since the pandemic began, according to a new report from the Bellwether Education Partners, commissioned by the Walton Family Foundation.

Now the total number of homeschooled kids sits at about 5 million. According to census data, more than 11% of U.S. households are now homeschooling.
And it's not just white families who are moving to homeschooling: 9.7% of white families with kids have pulled out of traditional education, as have 12.1% of Hispanic families, 8.8% of Asian families and 16.1% of Black families.

A Positive Trend – “Homeschool Interest In Texas Jumps 5 Fold From 2020 Record”

By Nicholas West

As I wrote in last month’s newsletter, one of the key ways we can take control over our personal supply chain of information is to homeschool. In so doing, we can promote both the physical and the mental health of future generations:

"One of the benefits occurring right now amid all of the tragedy is that parents who might previously have been resistant to homeschool are taking their children out of a system that is literally torturing them through oxygen deprivation and forced medicine, a prison-like system of surveillance and control, and outlandish politicizing of every facet of their learning. Through homeschooling, we can create a supply chain of information that is both resistant to mental disruption, while creating resilient patterns of behavior that will remain consistent with individual freedom far into the future."

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker Signs Sex Ed Bill Requiring Kindergartners to Define Gender Identity

Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) of Illinois signed SB 818 into law last Friday, claiming the new sex ed standards that require kindergartners to learn to define gender identity “will help keep our children safe.”

“Modernizing our sex education standards will help keep our children safe and ensure important lessons like consent and internet safety are taught in classrooms,” Pritzker said in a statement. “By working together, we’ll continue to strengthen our education system and deliver the bright future our kids deserve.”

The new law, which takes effect immediately, requires public schools in the state that offer sex education to align their curriculum with the National Sex Education Standards (NSES), the creation of organizations that advocate for sex ed consistent with abortion rights and LGBTQ inclusion.

Virginia Public Schools to Focus on Muslims—As Victims—in Teaching About 9/11 On Attacks’ 20th Anniversary

On Thursday, the Virginia Department of Education published a video entitled, “Culturally Responsive and Inclusive 9/11 Commemoration,” detailing how Virginia public school teachers should handle the upcoming twentieth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 jihad terror attacks that killed nearly 3,000 Americans. The emphasis on that day and thereafter must not be on the ideology of the attackers or the ongoing jihad terror threat; rather, the focus is entirely on acknowledging and eradicating what the video calls “anti-Muslim racism.”

Critical Race Theory Permeates North Carolina Schools, Task Force Formed By Lt. Gov. Finds

North Carolina’s Critical Race Theory (CRT) task force, formed by Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson in March 2021, has released its first report. In the report, parents, educators, and students confirm the proliferation of CRT in primary and secondary education in the state. One staff member for the Lieutenant Governor’s office, commenting on the size of the report, said CRT in North Carolina’s schools was a “way bigger problem than we thought.”

According to the North State Journal, Robinson formed the Fairness and Accountability in the Classroom for Teachers and Students (FACTS) task force in March of this year to root out and reverse politically biased teaching in North Carolina schools. In a press conference on August 24, Robinson, a Republican who became North Carolina’s first black lieutenant governor in November 2020, said the goal was to determine whether political indoctrination was occurring in schools across the state, to which he answered emphatically, “Yes, yes it is.”

Teacher With Medical Exemption Axed For Not Wearing A Mask

Today was the first day of school for teachers... and quite possibly the last day of school for this teacher.

I have been a teacher for over 12 years, and it has been the joy of my life to make a difference every single day with young people of all ages, races, and backgrounds.

I have taught Spanish, ESOL, and currently I am working as a special education teacher in one of the largest counties in the United States.

Today, I made the decision to go to work with a smile on my face instead of a mask.

To my surprise, I was greeted with hugs by several co-workers which helped to melt away some of the initial fear and anxiety that I had upon entering.

I decided to skip the breakfast where everyone was eating... indoors... without a mask, and instead decided to use that time to pray.

We started our day with a meeting in the auditorium where a fellow teacher shared that this year we would be working on "creating brave spaces" - not just "safe spaces."

Who Benefits From Cancelling Achievement Standards?

In 2021 there’s an outright holy war against scholastic achievement.

Oregon has passed a bill that suspends the requirement that students must be able to read, write, and do math to graduate from high school.

Mathematics should be replaced, we are told, by “social justice” mathematics, in which there are no correct answers, and students must not be asked to show the calculations that led to their conclusions.

Standard American English should no longer be the standard, and students should not be judged on the quality of their writing. And recruitment of future scientists and science teachers and researchers should no longer be based on achievement, merit, and potential, but on “diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

US to automatically wipe out over $5.8B in student loan debt

The Biden administration announced Thursday it will automatically erase student loan debt for more than 300,000 Americans with severe disabilities that leave them unable to earn significant incomes.

The move will wipe out more than $5.8 billion in debt, according to the Education Department, and it marks the start of a broader overhaul of a program that has been criticized for having overly burdensome rules.

“We’ve heard loud and clear from borrowers with disabilities and advocates about the need for this change and we are excited to follow through on it,” Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said in a statement.

The federal government offers student debt relief for people who are “totally and permanently disabled” and have limited incomes. But the current rules require them to submit documentation of their disability and undergo a three-year monitoring period to prove they’re earning little pay.

It further states, “[C]oncepts that impute fault, blame, a tendency to oppress others, or the need to feel guilt or anguish to persons solely because of their race or sex violate the premises of individual rights, equal opportunity, and individual merit,” going on to say that the controversial concept has “no place” in the state’s “public educational system.”

Investigation: Medical Education And Research Crumbling Under Racial Identity Politics

We have covered many times how medical schools are not being spared the meritocracy purge in the name of racial identity politics.

We have focused on SUNY-Upstate Medical University, where we had to go to court to get them to turn over documents about their racial identity programming. That battle will continue because though the court ordered documents produced, the production we received is absurdly heavily redacted. For *some* reason, the administrators at SUNY-Upstate Medical University really don’t want the public to see what they are doing and how they got there.

Cambridge University Press Advocates For Bestiality.

The article’s abstract claims that bestiality is a “new form of animal advocacy” and relies on “queer theory” to make its argument. The article’s abstract states:

“In this essay, I draw the discourses around bestiality/zoophilia into the realm of queer theory in order to point to a new form of animal advocacy, something that might be called, in shorthand, loving animals. My argument is quite simple: if all interdicts against bestiality depend on a firm notion of exactly what sex is (and they do), and if queer theory disrupts that firm foundation by arguing that sexuality is impossible to define beforehand and pervades many different kinds of relations (and it does), then viewing bestiality in the frame of queer theory can give us another way to conceptualize the limitations of human exceptionalism. By focusing on transformative connections between humans and animals, a new form of animal advocacy emerges through the revolutionary power of love.”
