"Freedom of speech does not mean freedom to lie." -- Michael Rivero

While in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves for 29 years, I thought I had seen some pretty stupid things the military was told by politicians to do.  It always begins with politicians deciding the easiest, most sensible solution to a problem would have too much political baggage and cost them votes in the next election. So, they look for a politically expedient solution, one that is invariably very expensive and convoluted.

Attempting a Military Solution for a Political/Diplomat Problem—AGAIN !!!

Like everyone, I have a great number of military people in the family tree. If you go back far enough, there are crusaders and even a Templar in the Rivero woodpile. More recently, on my mother's side of the family, ancestors fought in every major American war, including the Civil war (on both sides). As we celebrate Memorial Day, I am going to tell you about just one warrior; one I had the privilege to actually know and even briefly live with when I was younger. His name was Walter Lewis Smith and he was my maternal grandfather. He fought in WWI.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said the United Nations’s International Court of Justice (ICJ) "can go to hell" after the body ordered Israel to halt its military operations in southern Gaza.

"As far as I’m concerned, the ICJ can go to hell," he wrote Friday on X. "It is long past time to stand up to these so-called international justice organizations associated with the UN."

NATO General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg has given Ukraine the greenlight to use Western weapons to hit Russian territory.

Speaking on Saturday, he reportedly said: "This is Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine. Ukraine has the right to defend itself.

"This includes strikes on targets in Russia."

As if Israel’s legal and diplomatic woes weren’t dire enough, this afternoon in The Hague, the International Court of Justice ordered it to suspend its military operations in Rafah, to open the Rafah crossing to humanitarian aid, and to allow international observers into Gaza to ensure that evidence of Israeli genocide is not destroyed.

Today’s landmark ICJ “provisional measures” order is the Court’s response to South Africa’s May 10 application.

While America is distracted by Donald Trump’s absurd trial in New York, or the latest mumbling, bumbling, and stumbling from our braindead President, NATO, and the US military are sending troops and so-called advisors to Ukraine stomping over Russian red lines at every turn, and pushing Russia to the brink. Putin has held back from direct attacks on Kyiv, and the West is misreading this as a weakness at their peril. Unfortunately, Americans can’t count on Biden and his criminal cabal to do the right thing.

Media reports coming from russian on May 23, 2024, claimed that Ukrainian killer drones were able to damage the Voronezh-DM over-the-horizon radar station, which is located near Armavir in the Krasnodar region of russia. This radar is part of the russian early warning system supposed to counter a strategic missile strike. Now the confirmation comes from the photos that have appeared in the public domain. They indicate the very fact of damage dealt to the Voronezh-DM, and that some hits also landed on the staff accommodation buildings. The scale of destruction is unclear.

Stand-up comedian and actor Dave Chappelle drew cheers from his audience in Abu Dhabi on Thursday by reportedly calling the Israeli war on Hamas terrorists in Gaza a “genocide.”

The capital of the federation of seven sheikdoms that make up the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the Arabian Peninsula delivered the audience that cheered on Chappelle’s observations.
