(SQAUK) — A shocking turn of events has occurred as catastrophic floods have engulfed Iowa, resulting in at least one casualty. State officials urgently warn residents to avoid the dangerously swollen rivers. The relentless deluge has pushed dams to their maximum capacity, heightening fears of potential structural failures that could further worsen the already dire situation.

Last week, the weather was pleasant and often balmy across the U.K., and to take full advantage of the gently rising warmth, there was no better place to be than Heathrow Airport. This was the spot where the hottest day U.K. record was secured on no less than five occasions. Further north, heat lovers could have headed for Hull East Park, where the Yorkshire and Humber regional day record was observed no less than four times.

NATURE’S RESOURCES AS AN ASSET CLASS

The financialisation of nature's resources as an asset class in South East Asia has several manifestations, including carbon credits, green bonds, and other initiatives that promote so called “sustainable development and environmental conservation.” Within the altruistic trappings of tapping into humanity’s desire to “save the planet” and for the perpetual quest to attain “the greater good” mythos, this dystopian road paved with green gold, is nothing short of a giant Ponzi scheme.

The Energy Secretary, Claire Coutinho, warned recently that Labour’s plans to decarbonise the electricity grid by 2030 could lead to blackouts. It was a bit rich, given that her own party’s plans will have exactly the same effect, the only difference being five years later.

Unfortunately, neither party seems to have any understanding of how our energy system works, nor any policy for how to keep the lights on when the wind does not blow and the sun does not shine.

More electric vehicle drivers are thinking about switching back to internal combustion engine automobiles, according to new findings from the 2024 McKinsey & Co. Mobility Consumer Global Survey.

Forty-six percent of EV owners surveyed in the United States say they will likely return to driving gas-powered vehicles.

Globally, the survey of 30,000 respondents in 15 countries found that more than one-quarter (29 percent) of EV owners are likely to go back to driving gas-powered cars.

This is a call for help!

We need to get the word out about this because sunlight can often act as a wonderful disinfectant.

And nothing needs “disinfected” more than our Government, both at the Federal and State levels.

What’s happening is Idaho is horrific for many farmers who are now being told (ordered!) by their Government that they cannot water their farms.

My friend (more on that in a minute) Frank Vandersloot was on with Fox Business yesterday to explain the problem and put out an SOS to stop this madness and save these farmers….

(SQAUK) LAKE POWELL, Utah — A peaceful and sunny Friday afternoon at Lake Powell suddenly turned chaotic when an unexpected hailstorm hit the area. Boaters, enjoying the summer weather, were surprised by the sudden change in weather, which experts say is another sign of the worsening climate crisis.

(SQAUK) — The annual Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia led to the deaths of over 1,000 pilgrims due to an unprecedented heatwave. The soaring temperatures reached 51.8°C (125.2°F) in Mecca, creating hazardous conditions for the millions of faithful gathered for the religious event.
