COMING UP SHORT THIS MONTH.
Thought for the day
"I just wonder what it would be like to be reincarnated in an animal whose species had been so reduced in numbers than it was in danger of extinction. What would be its feelings toward the human species whose population explosion had denied it somewhere to exist.... I must confess that I am tempted to ask for reincarnation as a particularly deadly virus." -- Prince Philip, in his Forward to "If I Were an Animal" - United Kingdom, Robin Clark Ltd., 1986.
House Democrats on Tuesday voted down a Republican plan to launch an investigation into Hunter Biden.
The House Oversight Committee rejected the plan from their GOP colleagues, who alleged that the Bidens offered "access to the highest levels of government to enrich themselves," according to the Epoch Times.
"It is time for President Biden to answer some questions about his participation in his family's business schemes with some of our most significant adversaries for years, including the Chinese Communist Party," Republican Tennessee Rep. James Comer said of the effort.
"If the Democrats vote against this resolution, then they are continuing in their coordinated effort to shield a potentially compromised President from necessary congressional oversight," he continued.
Republicans have long scrutinized the president's younger son over his alleged illicit activities. Among the most notable of his scandals were revelations from a laptop belonging to Hunter which contained damaging materials on the first family prior to the 2020 presidential election. That story, however, was derided as a disinformation effort and suppressed on social media.
A Las Vegas Democratic official charged with the stabbing death of a local journalist who was investigating him is facing removal from his elected position.
Local prosecutors filed a lawsuit Tuesday in civil court to have Robert Telles booted from his role as Clark County public administrator, which handles the assets of people who die without wills.
Since Telles' arrest Sept. 7 for the alleged murder of Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German, he has been held without bail.
Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio joined Tucker Carlson on his Fox News broadcast Monday, telling Carlson and his viewers that a new FBI whistleblower has told him agents are being pulled away from child sex trafficking cases and reassigned to investigate “domestic violent extremism.”
Many leftists tout Canada’s socialized health care system as something America should emulate, claiming government-run health care is more humane. But it seems Canadian officials are more interested in urging doctors to help patients to kill themselves than to treat them.
America’s neighbor to the north has some of the most permissive euthanasia laws in the world. Canada’s medical assistance in dying laws allow almost anyone who can claim some form of hardship or disability to receive physician-assisted suicide, regardless of how minor those disabilities might be.
In a recently reported horror story from The Associated Press, Alan Nichols, 61, was successfully killed after a quick one month waiting period as he was suffering from hearing loss. Nichols was an otherwise decently healthy guy, but his brother claimed he was railroaded into killing himself.
Nichols’ family said that hospital staff helped him request euthanasia and pushed him to do it, a story that has been repeated many times by other disabled or sick Canadians.
Roger Foley, whose story was also reported by The Associated Press, became so unnerved by his hospital’s health care providers discussing euthanasia as an option that he started to record conversations. Foley has a degenerative brain disorder.
During one reported conversation, the hospital’s director of ethics tried to guilt Foley into thinking about the cost of his hospital stay. The director told Foley it would cost “north of $1,500 a day.”
Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) has raked in hundreds of thousands of dollars for his 2022 Senate campaign from Google employees, according to a Daily Wire review of campaign finance records.
A litigation hold has been placed in Coffee County, GA to ensure the maintenance of election records from the 2020 election in cases filed against Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.
This was filed in Jan 2021, and was recovered by an election integrity analyst, showing the original concern with the voting process in Coffee County. Election officials in the jurisdiction are now being targeted by anti-election integrity forces.

A jury awarded $100,000 to a woman who says she lost her job after refusing to falsify blood test results of children exposed to lead-contaminated water in Flint, her lawyer said Tuesday.
April Cook-Hawkins worked at the Genesee County health department for approximately four to five months before being forced to quit in 2016, said her attorney, Carol Laughbaum.
The department said Cook-Hawkins was ousted over her performance, but the jury didn’t accept that reason last Friday and awarded $100,000 for emotional distress, Laughbaum said.
A writer who accused former President Donald Trump of raping her in a department store dressing room intends to file another lawsuit against him under a new New York law letting sexual assault victims sue over attacks that happened decades ago.
A lawyer for the columnist, E. Jean Carroll, notified a federal judge of her intent to sue in an August letter entered in the public record Tuesday. The suit would claim sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
In the letter, the lawyer, Roberta Kaplan, also said she plans to depose Trump in the defamation case that Carroll already had pending against the former president. The deposition would have to occur by Oct. 19, when discovery in the case must be completed for a planned trial in February.
Webmaster addition: The Democrats are really piling onto Trump. He clearly has them scared!
Indiana lawmakers are taking a closer look at whether the state should consider allowing medical or recreational marijuana .
The Interim Study Committee on Public Health, Behavioral Health, and Human Services hosted a discussion on the topic Tuesday, focusing on “potential health benefits, potential decriminalization, and other potential consequences,” according to the committee’s meeting agenda.
It was a packed house for Tuesday’s meeting as lawmakers from both chambers and both parties, along with public health officials, heard public input.
For several years, Democrats and a handful of Republicans have introduced bills at the Statehouse focused on medical or recreational marijuana. None have received a committee hearing to be able to move forward.
Indiana is one of 13 states that has not legalized marijuana use in any form.
The United States “trampled upon” the Iran nuclear deal, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said during his Wednesday address to the United Nations General Assembly. The Iranian president stressed that the Islamic Republic is not striving to obtain nuclear weapons.
“The American government [has] trampled upon the JCPOA [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action a.k.a. Iran nuclear deal]. Some time ago, the former US president announced that Daesh was created by the US. To us, it makes no difference who created [it]. What matters is that a government outside this region decided to bring havoc to the region,” Raisi said.
He further condemned Washington’s meddling in the region’s affairs and refusal to take the interests of other countries into account. Raisi noted that the US can’t tolerate countries that act independently and puts its own priorities over those of other states.
Raisi also declared that the existing world order, where international organizations had become “instruments of repression” and economic sanctions are used as leverage to pressure other countries, no longer enjoys widespread support. He stated that a new world order is starting to take shape in its place and stressed the necessity to create a more “fair” world.
The Iranian president said that late IRGC General Qasem Soleimani, who was killed in the US strike in January 2020, “fought against oppression” of the current world order. Raisi condemned his killing by the US as a crime and said that Iran will insist on holding a fair trial for those responsible.
Texas Congressman Troy Nehls revealed that the Department of Homeland Security affirmed that Venezuela is intentionally sending “violent criminals” to the United States via the U.S./Mexico border. This new revelation illustrates the dire conditions of the U.S.’s national security and adjudicates everything that Former President Donald Trump warned of.
The former president came under heavy fire in the 2016 presidential election when he said that the people illegally crossing the southern border were “bad hombres,” mainly consisting of rapists, thieves, and other types of criminals. Mainstream media, alongside politically-correct politicians, pounced on the opportunity to paint Trump as a racist white nationalist.
However, despite their constant criticisms, President Trump refused to concede on his impassioned views regarding the border crisis. He remained steadfast in prioritizing the problem, carrying the same fierce rhetoric into his 2020 race and articulating the threat of illegal migrants.
The push for gender identity confirmation has been commonplace in recent years. People should be free to be who they feel, but medical gender reassignment must be done safely. One issue that comes up is certain medications used in the gender reassignment process can stop the patient from feeling sexual arousal and infertility.
At the 2022 WPATH International conference, Admiral Rachel Levine, one of the only openly transgender federal officials, was the keynote speaker. As Dr. Marci Bowers introduced her, radical left activists rushed the stage. They were affirming the message but went about it in the wrong way.
The mob was calling for free access to trans-affirmative health care. They also said that they wanted the psychomedical barriers removed. Despite the thunderous applause from the crowd, the stage-rushers had the police called on them by event organizers.
Police have found two bodies “in a lengthy stage of decomposition” in the home of former Democrat Rhode Island mayor Susan Menard.
Reports suggest that authorities discovered the decomposing bodies of an elderly man and woman in the home.
The deceased were “severely decomposed” when they were discovered in the Woonsocket home on Monday, according to WJAR.
Neighbors told WJAR that authorities entered the home in full hazmat suits and that there was supposedly a strong stench stemming from the home as soon as they opened the front door.
“I haven’t seen them in a while because my sister usually walks this all the time, and on occasion, I’d walk with her all around the neighborhood, and I haven’t seen them in a while,” Lorraine Tessier, a longtime resident of Woonsocket, told WJAR. “Didn’t anybody check on them? You know? Grandchildren? Son? What happened?”
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is firing back against critics of him flying fifty illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard, a liberal haven that professes love for all (though the love seems to last less than two days).
Liberals have hysterically described DeSantis’ actions as “human trafficking,” which seems to be the latest word the political left has decided to redefine. Oddly, there was no need for this sort of rhetoric when it’s Biden moving illegals throughout the country. Some activist lawyers are even in the process of suing DeSantis on the dubious basis that he "designed and executed a premeditated, fraudulent, and illegal scheme."
But it’s unlikely their stunt is going to work. After Sean Hannity noted that the "this was voluntary. All migrants would put up in hotels, given accommodations. They were fed, they were showered, they were offered haircuts and any other services that were needed," Gov. DeSantis elaborated that:
Not only that, they all signed consent forms to go. And then the vendor that is doing this for Florida provided them with a packet that had a map of Martha's Vineyard. It had the numbers for different services on Martha's Vineyard and then it had numbers for the overall agencies in Massachusetts that handle things involving immigration and refugees.
So it was clearly voluntary and all the other nonsense you're hearing is just not true. And why wouldn't they want to go given where they were?
An author of the leading transgender health association’s new guidelines for adolescents revealed that they have called Child Protective Services on uncooperative parents who did not affirm their child’s newly chosen transgender identity. The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) held a session on the “Adolescent” chapter during their annual conference on Monday that was livestreamed online.
Maybe one of the new 87,000 IRS agents funded through the “Inflation Reduction Act” can handle this.
“This” is a group called the hilariously named Good Information Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that was started by none other than George Soros “to tackle the growing information crisis in America that is undermining social trust, harming public health, and damaging our democracy.”
Oh, what could possibly go wrong.
The group is apparently seeking to pay social media influencers to push anti-Trump propaganda related to the absurdly named “insurrection” of January 6, 2021, as a means to assist the Democratic Party to rule in perpetuity, in this case to assist them in the leadup to the November midterms.
During a recent appearance on Fox News’ The Faulkner Focus, Louisiana Senator John Kennedy blasted President Joe Biden for lying to the American people about the nature of the southern border.
“He has lied and said the border’s closed,” Kennedy says.
“President Biden talks a lot about democracy, as we should,” Sen. Kennedy told host Harris Faulkner.
“Democracy depends on the mutual acceptance of rules, norms and institutions. President Biden’s southern border policy has undermined that principle. He has completely opened the southern border, and he has looked the American people in the eye, and he has lied and said the border’s closed.”
President Joe Biden’s home state may be the next to receive a flight of illegal migrants and asylum seekers courtesy of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
The attorney general of New York state has filed a civil lawsuit against Donald Trump and members of his family, the culmination of a years-long investigation of financial practices at the Trump Organization.
Letitia James announced the suit in New York on Wednesday in a move that is sure to increase consternation with the former US president, his family and his inner circle about the legal predicament he finds himself in.
Announcing the suit before reporters in New York, James said: “The complaint demonstrates that Donald Trump falsely inflated his net worth by billions of dollars to unjustly enrich himself and to cheat the system, thereby cheating all of us. He did this with the help of the other defendants.”
The New York suit represents an escalation of the serious legal jeopardy Trump already faces on numerous fronts, including possible indictment over his retention of classified records after his time in power and multiple investigations of his attempts to overturn his defeat in the 2020 election.
Parental rights in education have hit the frontline of another election.
Finally, a happy story for once. Outbursts of irrepressible joy erupted throughout the exclusive island community of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, last night. For hundreds of years, Martha’s Vineyard has suffered from the soul crushing effects of its own Whiteness. Island residents understood there was only one cure. They badly needed diversity. In fact, they often said so, but despite their very best efforts over many years, diversity never came to Martha’s Vineyard. It was tragic.
Imagine an 18th century British frigate adrift on the high seas with no lines, sailors slowly going mad, convulsing, dying, excruciating deaths from scurvy. That was Martha’s Vineyard, except it wasn’t lime juice they lacked. They had plenty of that because you can’t make a gin and tonic without it. What Martha’s Vineyard lacked was diversity, which is to say strength. Martha’s Vineyard was a very weak place. As of yesterday morning, that island was 89% White, monochromatic and utterly homogenous. Nearly everybody there was a rich Democrat. 80% voted for Joe Biden. The median home price was over $1,000,000. And then in a single blessed moment, everything changed. Relief arrived for an unlikely source.
Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida, having made his own state a paradise, decided to help other states desperately in need. So yesterday, the center sent 50 illegal aliens, most of them from Venezuela, to the Martha’s Vineyard Airport. They traveled from San Antonio to the Florida Panhandle and filing to their new home on Martha’s Vineyard. CBS Boston reports that after landing, the group wandered about three and a half miles from the airport into town, thereby instantly improving it. You can imagine the unrestrained jubilation on Martha’s Vineyard tonight, long-suffering islanders finally rescued from their own oppressive Whiteness. In fact, let’s go there now to check in on the celebrations.
While it seems they are preparing for Pandemic Panic Theater 2.0, they are also getting set up to engage in their longer-term goal of “Climate Change Lockdowns.”
The difference is the climate change lockdowns will be like Covid-19 lockdowns on steroids.
For over a century, the Jewish World Almanac has been widely regarded as the most authentic source for the world’s Jewish population numbers. Academics all over the world, including the editors of the Encyclopedia Britannica, used to rely on the accuracy of those numbers. Here is what the World Alamanacs of 1933 and 1948 had to say about the world population of Jews.
World Almanac 1933
World Almanac 1948
In other words, according to the World Almanac the world population of Jews increased (!) between 1933 and 1948 from 15,315,000 to 15,753,000. If the German government under Adolf Hitler had – as alleged – murdered six million Jews those losses should have been reflected in the Jewish population numbers quoted in the World Almanac.
Tennessee Republican Governor Bill Lee has called for an investigation of the Pediatric Transgender Clinic at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) after shocking videos posted by Matt Walsh detailed a doctor’s promotion of “big money maker” transgender surgeries.
