During Thursday’s White House Press Conference, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre raised eyebrows while speaking on the horrific shooting at Covenant Elementary School in Nashville, Tennessee.

“One of the things we saw during the midterm elections is that people don’t want their freedoms to be taken —they want us to fight for their freedoms. And so, it is shameful, it is disturbing and our hearts go out to the trans community as they are under attack right now,” KJP told the White House press corp.

President Joe Biden on Friday refused to comment on the indictment of Donald Trump.

'I have no comment on Trump,' he told reporters at the White House as he and Jill Biden headed to Mississippi to tour damage from a deadly tornado.

The president refused to talk about his predecessor despite being asked multiple times. He also didn't acknowledge questions about whether he was concerned about protesters or violence in the wake of the indictment.

Republican senators filed a bill to designate Mexican cartels as Foreign Terrorist Organizations. The move comes after several state’s attorney generals and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott asked the Biden administration to do so but it has not.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis vociferously criticized news of the indictment of former President Donald Trump, calling it “un-American” and insisting Florida would refuse any extradition requests.

As many of our knowledgeable readers already are aware by now, Trump, the current leading Republican candidate for President, has been indicted by a Manhattan grand jury investigating the circumstances around hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, a Democrat, has been pursuing Trump on the matter for years, and finally reaped the rewards of his efforts with a stunning 34-count indictment.

President Biden issued an official proclamation declaring that transgender Americans "shape our nation's soul" and established a holiday relating to the group this week.

Biden issued the proclamation Thursday to mark March 31, 2023, as the Transgender Day of Visibility, a day some transgender activists have renamed to "day of vengeance."

"Transgender Americans shape our Nation's soul -- proudly serving in the military, curing deadly diseases, holding elected office, running thriving businesses, fighting for justice, raising families, and much more," Biden wrote in the Thursday morning proclamation.

On Thursday, Twitter censored the official account of American Greatness over a story about a planned “Trans Day of Vengeance” in Washington D.C., in the aftermath of the Nashville shooting.

The original story detailed the planned event by the far-left group Trans Radical Activist Network (TRAN), scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 1st, in front of the Supreme Court building. The poster for the event asked attendees to “wear a mask” and “bring a buddy,” declaring that “We need more than visibility.” The poster said “Stop trans genocide.”

The tweet featuring the link to the story read as follows: “A planned transgender rally in Washington D.C. that has drawn widespread criticism after the Nashville school shooting is still set to take place on Saturday, despite increasingly violent rhetoric from the trans lobby.”

America is facing “the most serious and alarming recruiting and retention crisis that we’ve seen since Vietnam,” Rep. Mike Waltz, R-Fla., said Thursday at a Heritage Foundation event focused on military readiness.

“Over the last couple of years, we have seen a fundamental shift in our military culture, in the military itself, and in the Defense Department’s priorities,” Waltz said at the Heritage event, titled “Restoring the Military’s Focus on Warfighting. “And to underscore that: Bottom line is rather than focusing on military readiness, on warfighting, and preparing our soldiers to hopefully deter the next war, but if necessary, fight and win it, the Defense Department … has drastically shifted off course.”

In October, The Heritage Foundation launched the National Independent Panel on Military Service and Readiness in response to what it called “all-time low recruitment in 2022,” announcing that the panel would “examine what, if any, impact the progressive social and environmental agenda has had on U.S. military readiness.” (The Daily Signal is Heritage’s multimedia news organization.)

“It’s the stupidest thing I have ever seen,” he said. “And I feel bad for the guy. He didn’t even really have to be president. He had a lot of money. He had a great life. And he decided to run. Watters said police will take a mug shot of Trump that his political opponents will spread far and wide.

He then appeared to echo comments Trump has made by hinting that an indictment could prompt his supporters to become violent.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in January quietly updated its Guide for Aviation Medical Examiners (AMEs), allowing aviation doctors for the first time to give medical clearance to some pilots diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), a rare neurological disorder connected to certain COVID-19 vaccines.

The FAA made the change — along with October 2022 updates for electrocardiogram (EKG) test limits — without citing scientific evidence and while the agency has been operating without a permanent administrator since March 2022.

The FAA’s medical guidance appears to diverge from international standards.

On Monday, First Liberty Institute and law firm Clement & Murphy filed a lawsuit with the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on behalf of His Tabernacle Family Church, a nondenominational New York church, challenging an allegedly unconstitutional ban on firearms in houses of worship.

The suit alleges that the law discriminates against religious establishments, makes them vulnerable to outside violence, and violates two Supreme Court rulings.

He noted, “In relative terms, the deviation from trend in 2022, for the total (men+women) full-time workers was about 70%.”
