THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

"Once a nation parts with the control of its currency and credit, it matters not who makes the nations laws. Usury, once in control, will wreck any nation. Until the control of the issue of currency and credit is restored to government and recognized as its most sacred responsibility, all talk of the sovereignty of parliament and of democracy is idle and futile." -- William Lyon Mackenzie King (1874-1950) Prime Minister of Canada (1935-- 1948)

Rees-Mogg twists the knife: Brexiteer names FOUR contenders (not including himself) who could do a better job of Brexit after launching humiliating attack on PM in the Commons and making a bid to oust her as leader

Jacob Rees-Mogg sensationally launched his bid to remove Theresa May today threatening her position in the Commons before holding a press conference naming possible successors.

The hardline Brexiteer insisted his putsch was not about personal ambition and named Boris Johnson, Dominic Raab, David Davis and Penny Mordaunt as 'very capable of leading a proper Brexit'.

But he said Mrs May was delivering on Brexit as he joined the ranks of Tory MPs formally calling for a vote of no confidence in the Prime Minister.

If 48 Tory MPs write to Sir Graham Brady, the chairman of their backbench 1922 Committee, a vote will be held.

Mr Rees-Mogg's dramatic move today makes it almost certain the threshold has been met.

In Close Vote, House Blocks Debate on Yemen WarVote was tied to bill cracking down on gray wolves

On Wednesday, in a vote heavily along party lines, the House passed the Manage our Wolves Act 201-187. The vote effectively blocked all debate on the war in Yemen, and precluded that conflict from coming up for a future vote.

This is the second straight year that an attempt to challenge America’s unauthorized involvement in the Yemen War under the War Powers Act has been derailed by House leadership through last minute rule changes. This time, it required tying the rule change to a vote about gray wolves.

This led to a bizarre situation where they were debating the constitutionality of the Yemen War on one side, and the desire to shoot gray wolves on the other side. This was meant to give cover to lawmakers, to say they were voting because of the wolves instead of the unpopular Saudi-led war.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How could you expect anything less from "alleged" representatives, when our President is rapidly earning his "merchant of death - in chief" title?!?

You have to wonder; how stupid, or plain crazy, was this move to tie it ton issue resolving the gray wolf problem?!? Perhaps they knew this conflation would be the KOD (Kiss of Death) in the issue of the US-Enabled Saudi War against Yemen?!?

And one has to wonder; just how much did Saudi Arabia "contribute" to the campaigns of those who chose to scotch the deal?!?

In this part of the 21st century's US political cycle, politicians are simply ""assets", to be sold to the highest corporate/state-sponsored bidder; they utterly no longer represent We the People; they represent "Those the Monied"

Forgive my cynicism here, but I am almost to the point of believing that if elections really changed anything in this country, they wouldn't be allowed to happen.

Pelosi unfazed as unhappy Dems claim votes to block her rise

As a steadfast Rep. Nancy Pelosi all but dared potential rivals for the gavel to come forward, a group of restive House Democrats vowed Wednesday to produce enough votes to block her from becoming the House’s new speaker.

For two days now, disgruntled Democrats have claimed they have 17 names on a letter opposing Pelosi’s leadership, promising to air the document soon. They say those signing on are pledging to vote against the Californian when the full chamber elects the next speaker on Jan. 3.

Rep. Kathleen Rice, D-N.Y., confirmed the letter Tuesday, and an aide to an organizer of the effort said it stood at 17 names as of Wednesday. The aide was not authorized to discuss the letter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Pelosi, asked by a reporter about her message to rebellious colleagues, challenged them to put forward an alternate candidate for speaker.

“Come on in, the water’s warm,” she said.

Democrats get cold feet on Michael Avenatti after domestic-violence charges

On the day porn-star attorney Michael Avenatti was arrested on domestic-violence charges, some Democratic officials began to get queasy about the 2020 presidential campaign he is pondering.

The Vermont Democratic Party had two events planned for this weekend with the anti-Trump lawyer, one each in Burlington and White River Junction.

But after the news of the felony domestic-violence case against him broke, party officials started getting cold feet.

“The Vermont Democratic Party has canceled Mr. Avenatti’s forthcoming scheduled appearances in Vermont, and will be refunding all ticket sales,” state-party spokesman R. Christopher Di Mezzo said in a statement posted on social media.

FIVE SAUDIS FACE DEATH PENALTY OVER KHASHOGGI KILLING; CROWN PRINCE CLEARED

Saudi Arabia public prosecutor Sheikh Shaalan al-Shaalan said on Thursday that the kingdom will seek the death penalty for five suspects among the 11 charged in the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, confirming suspicions that members of the murder squad purportedly sent to "interrogate" Khashoggi will now themselves face beheadings as the Saudi Royal Family closes ranks around the Crown Prince, per the FT.

As for Mohammed bin Salman who runs the day to day affairs of the world’s top oil exporter and is the de facto head of OPEC, the prosecutor said had "no knowledge" of the mission, effectively absolving him of any domestic suspicion, if not international.

U.S. says defendant in Elliott Broidy hacking case has diplomatic immunity

The former U.N. diplomat accused of helping steal and distribute Republican fundraiser Elliot Broidy's emails is entitled to diplomatic immunity, the U.S. government tells NBC News.

It's the latest blow to Broidy's legal campaign against Qatar and the individuals he says hacked him on its behalf. Several other defendants in lawsuits filed by Broidy including Qatar itself have already convinced the court to dismiss them from the case, which criss-crosses the murky worlds of cybercrime, the Persian Gulf diplomatic crisis and pay-to-play politics in Trump era.

As PG&E Implodes, These Hedge Funds Are Getting Destroyed

One day after investors were stunned when troubled California utility, PG&E, drew down the full available balance of its revolving credit facilities, sending the stock into a tailspin, the pain has continued and on Thursday, PG&E shares extended losses, last down more than 21%, and tumbling more than 50% in the past week, with Mizuho the latest bank to cut its price target, saying company could face wildfire-related liabilities of $13 billion.

To be sure, things aren't looking good: as Bloomberg reports, 15 minutes before a fire was reported among the trees north of Sacramento - the spark that would explode into the deadliest blaze in California history - a PG&E power line in the area went offline. A week later, at least 56 people have been found dead - and PG&E Corp. is facing its gravest crisis yet over whether its equipment has ignited another devastating wildfire.

US’ $6 Trillion War on Terror Bill Expected to Grow Larger

The US War on Terror rages on after more than 17 years, during which time the US has become involved on the ground in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. Now, the war is poised to reach a total cost of $6 trillion by the end of 2019.

That's enough money to end world hunger for 200 years using the metric of $30 billion annually, which is provided by the United Nations.

The $6 trillion figure comes from the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs at Brown University in their annual "Cost of War" project.

The total cost estimated by the researchers is higher than that of the US military's costs because it includes War on Terror-related spending like the Departments of Veterans Affairs and Homeland Security.

Because the US goes to war with loans, estimates that don't include interest, such as this one, are considered conservative.

White House Weighs Kicking Out Cleric Gulen From US To Appease Erdogan; Lira Surges

In what is the most shocking geopolitical news of the day, NBC reports that the Trump administration is weighing extraditing the nemesis of Turkish President Recep Erdogan, cleric Fethulah Gulen who has been living for years in relative seclusion in rural Pennsylvania, from the U.S. in order to placate Turkey over the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

According to the NBC report, Trump administration officials last month asked federal law enforcement agencies to examine legal ways of removing the exiled Turkish cleric in an attempt to persuade Erdogan to ease pressure on the Saudi government. The effort includes directives to the Justice Department and FBI that officials reopen Turkey's case for his extradition, as well as a request to the Homeland Security Department for information about his legal status, four sources told NBC.

Webmaster's Commentary:

'They lined their pockets at expense of safety': Devastated Paradise residents sue power company accused of ignoring faults to protect their BONUSES as sparks are blamed for two of California's biggest wildfires

Several victims of California's Camp Fire have filed a lawsuit against the power company they believe is to blame for the devastating blaze that has killed 48.

The suit accuses Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) of being responsible for the horrific fire, claiming it failed to properly maintain its equipment and infrastructure.

And one lawyer has claimed that PG&E bypassed preventative measures just a day before the fire, claiming it wanted to protect company bonuses instead.

PG&E informed the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) that a high-voltage power line experienced a problem near the origin of the Camp Fire just minutes before the blaze broke out.

Another biased pro-Israel ‘NY Times’ report about the latest violence in Gaza

Once again, the New York Times puts a pro-Israel slant on the latest violence in the beleaguered open air prison of Gaza. The paper’s correspondents, who are veterans at distortion, deployed some of the usual time-honored techniques in an article that appeared today:

Dwell on victims in Israel, but brush past dead or injured Palestinians. One person died in Israel, but he got 10 full paragraphs of coverage. We learned about his personal history, his family, and what his apartment in Ashkelon looked like after the Palestinian missile hit it. NOVEMBER SNOW IN TEXAS? EXPERTS WARN DECREASED SOLAR ACTIVITY WILL SHATTER ALL GLOBAL CLIMATE MODELS

Our sun has been behaving very strangely, and this unusual behavior is really starting to affect our weather patterns. There have been virtually no sunspots in 2018 as solar activity has dropped to alarmingly low levels. As a result, our atmosphere has been cooling and shrinking, and experts are warning that we are heading for a bitterly, bitterly cold winter. And even though the official start of winter is well over a month away, winter weather is already sweeping the nation. As you will see below, a giant winter storm is about to slam into the east coast, but what is happening in Texas is even more unnerving. On Wednesday morning, the temperature in San Antonio plummeted to just 23 degrees, and that absolutely shattered the old record…

‘GOLDMAN SACHS IS IMPLICATED IN HISTORY’S LARGEST FINANCIAL CON – BUT WILL IT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE?’

Even by Wall Street standards of gouging customers this was one hell of a skim.

In 2012 and 2013, the Malaysian government was raising $6.5bn (£5bn) from investors to establish a sovereign wealth fund and finance various domestic infrastructure investment projects. And the cut for Goldman Sachs – the most prestigious investment bank in the world – for arranging the fundraising from the global capital markets? Ten per cent, or $600m.

Now we can have a guess as to why the Malaysian authorities were so insouciant about those extortionate fundraising costs: because they themselves were, apparently, going to loot the pot in one of the biggest frauds in history.

Malaysian politicians, officials and financiers had effectively bought Goldman Sachs’ blue chip reputation to pull in naive investors to the “1MDB” state investment fund. Ten per cent probably seemed a reasonable cut in the circumstances.

The question is: what did Goldman know about the theft?

Webmaster's Commentary:

The short answer to the question asked in the title of this story, is no.

OHIO STATE STUDENT GROUP: BEN SHAPIRO'S WORDS CAN 'THREATEN' 'MENTAL SAFETY'

A student group at Ohio State University (OSU) sent a warning to its members prior to a Tuesday by conservative commentator Ben Shapiro.

The Student Advisory Council of the Morrill Scholars Program at OSU sent an email in order to create “awareness around this event in preparation for the impact that his words, beliefs, and followers may have on our community.” The email specifically targeted Young America’s Foundation (YAF) and Shapiro, who is editor-in-chief of The Daily Wire, and claims that many of his views are “misogynist,” “racist,” and “transphobic.”

A member of the Morrill Scholars Program confirmed the existence of the email to Campus Reform on Wednesday.

Forgive me, but what kind of absolute, colossal bit of codswallop this is!!

IF, as a college student, you cannot verbally rebut, when you think that an idea or attitude is incorrect, and have the facts of your argument at your fingertips, then I am sorry for you, because your college education has been an utter, complete waste of time.

The "Real World" into which you will graduate, has no mercy on people who are incapable of dealing with an argument.

This world It is hard, fast, and will eat you up, and spit you out, if you are pathologically incapable of taking care of yourself, and not turning into a spineless plate of jello, every time you hear something that is contrary to your values. Because you will hear that... a lot.

So, Ohio State University students, life's tough; get a helmet!. And please, go see this lecture, and see if this man is really that terrifying, or ... if, perhaps, "influencers" on campus, really don't want you to go, not because they are " terrified" by his language, but that perhaps you will learn something that may well be contrary to currently held beliefs...and be the truth.

And we now have a follow-up to this story: SHOCK VIDEO: UNHINGED PROTESTERS TRY TO SHUT DOWN BEN SHAPIRO AT OHIO STATE

Antifa labels Jewish conservative a Nazi fascist.

This is an Orwellian moment, writ large; universities no longer teach, or encourage independent, critical thinking. Even though I might abhor what someone might say, I would defend their right to say it.

I thought that this was part of the core principals of the American democratic Republic.

But fast forward to this point in the 21st century, and we find that they are teaching identity politics, and demanding that students hate everyone they, and "the influencers" hate; it is just that simple.

Leaked 2009 Cable Labels Saudi Arabia “Most Significant Source Of Funding To Terrorist Groups Worldwide” – Exposes Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, And Pakistan

By Brandon Turbeville

While the Saudi military continues to besiege Yemen and create the worst humanitarian crisis on the planet today, the United States also continues to arm and abet KSA in their war against the Yemeni people. Yemen, of course, is nothing more than a proxy war against Iran and a geopolitical chess move on the part of both the Saudis and the Americans and, for that reason, no amount of war crimes and intentional targeting of civilians has warranted anything more than a tepid criticism of the Saudis by the current US administration.

The Saudis, because of their oil and money, are untouchables. KSA can kill journalists in an open and brutal fashion, chop off heads in the city square, oppress its female population like no other country in the world, and launch unjustified wars with no consequence. KSA can even fund and direct terrorist organizations across the world with very little restraint...

6 RECENT US ANTIWAR PROTESTS THE MEDIA DOESN'T WANT YOU TALKING ABOUT

A friend told me yesterday that he hadn’t seen an antiwar protest in America in ten years. It was a sincere comment; he genuinely hadn’t seen any coverage on any peace activism in his country during that time. And of course he hadn’t; it is mainstream media’s job to distort public narratives in favor of the war-hungry plutocratic class which owns the media outlets. But I’ve actually been noticing a lot of antiwar activism lately which, while often far from the spotlight of mass media attention, has given me much hope for the future.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Foreign policy in this country is ultimately outsourced to the people/countries who, and which, can pay the most for it.

Right now, the highest bidders, and owners, for US foreign policy are, respectively, Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Israel has shared an absolutely, fact-free, poisoned narration of its relationship with Gaza, the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and all of the rest of the countries which surround it with President Trump, and he has absolutely taken the bait. Of course that "bait" was "sweetened" by the very generous donations of the casino mogul, Sheldon Adelson, and his wife Miriam.

Sheldon and Miriam Adelson gave $55 milion in September to support Trump and the Republicans

That is why The unhinged, surveilled state of Amerika, is in such a loop of endless wars, followed by new wars, with no real justification for why it must be the US who must fight them in the first place. The "Payoffs" to Adelson and Israel were:

1. The US declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel
2. The withdrawal of the US from the P5+1 agreement, and the imposition of horrific sanctions against Iran, and putting the US on a "war footing" against Iran, which Israel sees as its "existential threat" in the region
3. Massively more money for Israel's military
4. Keeping US troops in Syria "to answer the "scourge" of Iranian troops staying in that country, coordinating with the Russian and Syrian troops, to wipe out the last of the US-funded jihadists (This, potentially, may lead to a hot war in Russia, but hey, who cares?!?)
5. Cutting off any funds for humanitarian aid for Gaza
6. The awarding of the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Miriam Adelson
Miriam Adelson Receives the Presidential Medal of Freedom
(Wow; I guess that in current circles, that can be bought also)
7. Letting Prime Minister Netanyahu have an absolutely free hand with the Palestinians, including stealing and annexing their land, which has belonged to Palestinian families for generations, and engineering borders encroaching Palestinian residents' land for use by the the illegal Jewish settlers, which means that it is now impossible for the Palestinians to have a contiguous state.
6. President Trump's NOT reading the riot act when Israel passed the controversial nation-state law Israel passes nation State Law. The bill went on to state: "Israel passed early Thursday a controversial bill that officially defines Israel as the national homeland of the Jewish people and asserts that "the realization of the right to national self-determination in Israel is unique to the Jewish people," sparking outrage from Israel's Arab community and provoking concern from the international community."

Now, let us turn to President Trump's other BFF,Saudi Arabia's Prince Mohammed bin Salman, AKA, the Butcher of Yemen. And what has the "payoff" been here for Saudi Arabia?!?

1. The opportunity to purchase lots of weapons with which to create a genocide in Yemen.

In fact, President Trump and the US's own Mike Pompeo thought this so important that he lied to Congress about what Saudi Arabia was going to do with those weapons. Pompeo lied to Congress about Yemen to protect Arms Sales
2. The US has aided and abetted Saudi war crimes in Yemen, which include:

A - The deliberate killing of infants, women, and the medically fragile elderly. Images; Yemeni children slaughtered or maimed for live, courtesy of Saudi bombing raids

B - The US-enabled blockading of Yemen ports, leading to massive starvation, and a cholera epidemic (possibly weaponized):

Images: Yemeni children dying from malnutrition

Images: Yemeni children sicked by cholera

3. The deafening conspiracy of silence on this war from the American Presstitutes.

4. Possible assistance from the US on starting up a nuclear weapons program Congress members want Trump to report on Saudi Arabia's nuclear ambitions

5. A covert, but growing alliance with Israel against their alleged common enemy, Iran.

6. The US giving the Prince "cover" on Saudi Arabia's brutal execution of Adnan Khashoggi, even though this may well have been planned by the Crown Prince himself.

It is sobering to think, that President Trump's two BFFs in the Middle East, are the most ruthless, tyrannical leaders in that part of the world; Israel's Prime Minister, Benyamin Netanyahu, the Butcher of Gaza, and Saudi Crown Prince bin Salman, the Butcher of Yemen.

The study used a new method of measuring the ocean's absorption of heat, and concluded - through incorrect math - that 60% more heat had been absorbed than previously thought.

The report was covered or referenced by MSM outlets worldwide, including the Washington Post, New York Times, BBC, Reuters and others.

Shortly after the article was published, however, independent UK-based researcher Nicholas Lewis published a comprehensive blog post, claiming he had found a "major problem" with the research.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is likely where the "Earth is warming and the reason you don't feel it is the heat is 'hiding' in the ocean" propaganda the carbonazis put out to not have to deal with the fact that the Earth was not warming up the way their predictions said it would.

TRUMP’S PICK FOR SAUDI AMBASSADOR IS EXPERT ON HEZBOLLAH AND IRAN

US President Donald Trump nominated retired general John Abizaid as ambassador to Saudi Arabia. He has opposed the Iranian nuclear program, but also urged Israeli restraint in confronting it. As an observer for the UN in 1985 Abizaid saw some of Hezbollah’s first terror attacks and has spoken about the threat of terrorism in the region. His nomination comes at a crucial juncture for US-Saudi relations and also Riyadh’s role in the region. Abizaid will fill a spot that has been open for several years. A former US Central Command, Abizaid has a long background in the Middle East and its wars.

Iran has enough leverage to continue oil exports under US sanctions: Envoy to UK

Tehran’s envoy to the UK says the US has failed to rally the world community behind its new sanctions against Iran, and that the Islamic Republic possesses “enough leverage” to keep its oil sales going despite US attempts to reduce them to “zero.”

In the face of American sanctions, “we have lots of alternatives because we have had some experiences from the past,” Hamid Baeidinejad told the CNN’s Christian Amanpour in an interview published on the network’s website on Wednesday.

“We know that, in fact, the difference, this time, is that countries are not ready to comply with the United States’ request. So, we have enough leverage to continue our exports,” he added.

Iraq rejects US deadline to halt Iran gas imports

Iraq has rejected a US deadline to stop importing Iranian gas, warning that any halt to the supplies would create a real power crisis which sparked several days of unrest in Basra and elsewhere this summer.

“Stopping Iranian gas after the deadline will create a real power crisis. We need more time … the Americans are completely aware of how desperately we need Iranian gas,” an Iraqi official was quoted as saying on Wednesday.

The announcement came after the US embassy in Iraq said on Thursday that Washington had given Baghdad 45 days to stop purchasing gas and electricity from Iran.

Iraq has extensive trade ties with Iran and heavily depends on Iranian natural gas imports for electricity generation. Basra in southern Iraq was hit by violent protests which spread to other cities this summer, partly because of a halt of Iranian electricity exports.

Want to hack a hole-in-the-wall cash machine for free dosh? It's as easy as Windows XP

ATM machines are vulnerable to an array of basic attack techniques that would allow hackers to lift thousands in cash.

This according to researchers at Positive Technologies, who studied more than two dozen different models of ATMs and found (PDF) nearly all would be vulnerable to network or local access attacks that would allow raiders to pillage the cash dispensers.

Spain announces outlawed alternative medicine

The Spanish government declared war on alternative medicine like acupuncture or homeopathy Wednesday, announcing it plans to eliminate from health centers what it considers a health risk.

The plan, unveiled by the science and health ministers, aims to avoid the "potential harmful effects" of these practices "when they are used as an alternative or a complement to treatment" which itself is based on "proof and scientific rigor," the government said in a statement.

It did not detail what it included as alternative medicine, but gave the examples of acupuncture and homeopathy.

Tens of Civilians Killed in US Air Raid on ISIL Prison in Deir Ezzur

US-led coalition fighter jets bombed an ISIL-run prison in residential areas in Southeastern Deir Ezzur on Tuesday afternoon, and killed scores of civilians who had been jailed by the terrorist group, a militant-affiliated news website reported on Wednesday.

Arabic-language website, Orient, quoted local sources as reporting that the warplanes targeted an ISIL-run jail in the town of Hajin in Southeastern Deir Ezzur, destroying several residential units.

It further said that scores of civlian inmates who had been round up and jailed by the ISIL were killed in the air attack.

There is yet no report on the precise number of casualties, but a large death toll is expected as large groups of people had been locked up in the prison by the ISIL.

Fox News and other outlets join CNN fight over press access to White House

More than a dozen news outlets -- from the Associated Press to USA Today, The Washington Post and Politico -- are filing friend-of-the-court briefs to support CNN and Jim Acosta's lawsuit against President Trump and several top aides.

The list represents most of the biggest news organizations in the United States.

The most notable name on the list is Fox News. In fact, Fox went further than most other media companies on Wednesday, issuing a statement that said "Secret Service passes for working White House journalists should never be weaponized."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Nobody made a fuss when Helen Thomas was kicked out of the White House press room by Obama.

FLASHBACK - Gates and Obama Share a Dark Secret

In 2014 there was the western Africa Ebola hoax where US President Barack Obama, the first black man to be President, announced his “War on Ebola” in September last year, ordering 3,000 US military troops to the region, though reportedly none had experience in public health and no one had produced rigorous laboratory proof of a single person dying from something called Ebola virus. Liberia was among the poorest and most war-torn regions in the world.

Wars over blood diamonds and colonial genocidal tribal wars have left a devastated, mal-nourished population in its wake. Was Ebola simply a panic-maker? Further investigation uncovered the Pentagon was developing an Ebola vaccine with Monsanto and suspicion was that the 3,000 US troops were sent to force the population to become human guinea pigs for the untested substances.

Trump ‘Trade War’ Hides Military Industrial Agenda

In geopolitics events are rarely what they seem to be. This is especially true when we look more closely at the otherwise bizarre “war” launched this spring under the guise of trade war, supposedly redressing America’s huge annual balance of trade deficits, the most extreme being that with China. The true driver behind Washington’s otherwise inexplicable tariff war attacks on especially China make sense when we view them through the prism of a new Administration report on the defense industrial base of the United States .

7 resignations and counting: May’s government ‘falling apart before our eyes’ over Brexit deal

Seven high profile resignations have followed on the heels of Theresa May’s announcement that her cabinet has settled on a Brexit deal, with Labour claiming that the Conservative government is at risk of completely dissolving.

Shailesh Vara, the Minister of State at the Northern Ireland Office was the first top official to resign after the prime minister announced that her cabinet had reached a draft EU withdrawal agreement.

An hour after his announcement, Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab – the man charged with negotiating and finalizing the deal – said he was stepping down, stating that the Brexit deal in its current form suffers from deep flaws. Esther McVey, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, submitted her letter of resignation shortly afterwards. More resignations have followed.

Skripal and Khashoggi: West Manufactures Absurd Fantasy to Pin on Russia, Lets Saudi Get Away With Chopping up WaPo Journalist Alive

Two disappearances, and two very different responses from Western governments, which illustrates their rank hypocrisy.

By contrast, Western governments are straining with restraint towards Saudi Arabia over the more shocking and provable case of murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Judicial Watch: Federal Court Ordered Hillary Clinton to Answer Additional Email Questions Under Oath

Judicial Watch announced today that U.S. District Court Judge Emmet G. Sullivan ruled that within 30 days Hillary Clinton must answer under oath two additional questions about her controversial email system.

In 2016, Clinton was required to submit under oath written answers to Judicial Watch’s questions. Clinton objected to and refused to answer questions about the creation of her email system; her decision to use the system despite warnings from State Department cybersecurity officials; and the basis for her claim that the State Department had “90-95%” of her emails.

After a lengthy hearing yesterday Judge Sullivan ruled that Clinton must address two questions that she refused to answer under-oath.

Describe the creation of the clintonemail.com system, including who decided to create the system, the date it was decided to create the system, why it was created, who set it up, and when it became operational.

IMF's Lagarde says central banks could issue digital money

"I believe we should consider the possibility to issue digital currency," Ms Lagarde said in a speech at a conference in Singapore. "There may be a role for the state to supply money to the digital economy."

"The advantage is clear. Your payment would be immediate, safe, cheap and potentially semi-anonymous... And central banks would retain a sure footing in payments."

Ms Lagarde said central banks in Canada, China, Sweden and Uruguay were all "seriously considering" digital currency proposals.

Did a Military Experimental Vaccine in 1918 Kill 50-100 Million People Blamed as “Spanish Flu”?

The “Spanish Flu” killed an estimated 50-100 million people during a pandemic 1918-19. What if the story we have been told about this pandemic isn’t true?

What if, instead, the killer infection was neither the flu nor Spanish in origin?

Newly analyzed documents reveal that the “Spanish Flu” may have been a military vaccine experiment gone awry.

In looking back on the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, we need to delve deeper to solve this mystery.

Lynch Mobs in the Senate

The Democrat campaign of defamation to keep Justice Brett Kavanagh off the Supreme Court failed — and may have backfired. The conduct throughout the hearings seems to have been more compulsive than rational. For more than 50 years, the behavior and rhetoric of Democrats in the United States Senate to Republican appointments to the United States Supreme Court have been more like those of lynch mob members than dignified senators.

In the late 1960s, many Southern Democrat politicians changed parties and became Republicans. This left a Democrat Party almost entirely in the hands of leftists, unrestrained by moderates and conservatives. The effects of this change have been most obvious in their treatment of Supreme Court nominees.

Billboard celebrating Gaza’s heroic first responders outside Boston is taken down under pressure — updated

Nearly 3 weeks into its planned 4-week run, an electronic billboard honoring first responders in the Gaza Strip was pulled November 13th because the billboard company received phone calls and email complaints calling their staff terrorists and anti-Semites, and threatening a boycott.

The Palestine Advocacy Project sponsored the billboard on Interstate 93 near Boston to highlight the desperate situation in the Gaza strip, and to emphasize the humanity and agency of the people of Gaza, who are often portrayed as terrorists or victims. The billboard included a photo of deceased Palestinian medic Razan al-Najjar and text reading: “Honoring the First Responders of Gaza. Saving Lives. Rescuing Hope.” It was estimated to be viewed by over a half million motorists each week of its planned 4-week run, beginning 24 October. The billboard was met with positive media coverage.

How far will Saudi Arabia go to make sure that Bin Salman survives?

A Saudi campaign to save Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman has been gaining momentum since the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi on 2 October. With each passing day, the likelihood that he will survive the biggest crisis to hit the Kingdom since the 9/11 terrorist attacks — 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudi nationals — grows significantly.

Like its Gulf neighbours, Saudi Arabia has developed a reputation for being resilient. It’s a perception that was reinforced by the way in which the oil and gas rich states staved off popular uprisings during the 2011 Arab Spring.

COMPANIES KEEP LOSING YOUR DATA BECAUSE IT DOESN'T COST THEM ANYTHING

Data breaches keep happening, they keep getting worse, and yet companies keep collecting our data in ever-more-invasive ways, subjecting it to ever-longer retention, and systematically underinvesting in security.

Why does this keep happening? Because it's affordable. In 2014, Home Depot breached more than 50,000,000 credit-cards; in 2016, they paid less than $0.34/customer in restitution.

There are longer-term reputational costs associated with breaches, but these are not generally factored into the quarterly-earnings-focused mindsets of corporate execs and strategists.

An awful lot of change could be made simply by adjusting the law, and it needn't even be something as far reaching as the European General Data Protection Regulation: even establishing a set of statutory damages that people caught in breaches were entitled to collect, and banning the use of binding arbitration clauses to escape these liabilities would go a long way.

When murder is permissible: Israel’s ‘targeted assassinations’

One of the anomalies of political Zionism is that, while it was founded as a response to murderous pogroms against European and Russian Jews as a means to rescue them from such treatment by having a safe haven to go to, the founding fathers of the State of Israel and their successors have had no qualms about inflicting terrible suffering and hardship on others in order to achieve their aims. The stated aim of making sure that the ultimate pogrom called the Holocaust, for example, will “never again” befall the Jews, has meant that “again and again” is the rule with regards to Israel’s violations against the Palestinians and anyone else deemed to be an enemy.

Is Israel turning a blind eye as Israeli scammers swindle victims in France, US, elsewhere?

French and Israeli media report that a group largely made up of Israelis scammed 3,000 French citizens out of approximately $20 million. Most of the stolen money is in Israel, but Israeli authorities are reportedly failing to cooperate with France in prosecuting the scammers and retrieving the money.

This is the latest of numerous examples of Israeli officials stone-walling international efforts against the perpetrators of massive financial swindles around the world, according to Israeli investigative journalists and others. These scams have brought estimated billions into the Israeli economy, propping up a regime widely condemned for human rights abuses and ethnic cleansing against indigenous Palestinians. Together, the stories paint a picture of a government that seems to be turning a blind eye to – and even protecting – scammers.

SOROS RESPONDS TO "ALARMING" FACEBOOK EXPOSÉ; DEMANDS "THOROUGH INVESTIGATION"

Following a shocking exposé in the New York Times revealing how Facebook resorted to guerilla tactics to deflect blame amid their various scandals, including hiring Republican PR firm Definers which cast liberal critics as operatives for liberal financier George Soros, top representatives for the Hungarian-American billionaire have demanded answers.

While Facebook was under fire on Capitol Hill for allowing Russians to purchase advertising during and after the 2016 US election, liberal critics blamed the company for Hillary Clinton's loss - including activist protesters who put a public face on liberal opposition to the social media giant.

Defenders sought to discredit the activists by linking them to Soros.

A research document circulated by Definers to reporters this summer, just a month after the House hearing, cast Mr. Soros as the unacknowledged force behind what appeared to be a broad anti-Facebook movement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Soros is no stranger to this type of accusation; but that being said, I do have to wonder, in light of the fact that he is the "open boarders yenta" of the West, ultimately responsible for the horrific, non-vetted immigration plaguing Europe right now, and ultimately trying to repeat that here in the US, how many of his NGOs have contributed greatly to this effort. So, here you go:

Caravan of illegals charity outed as George Soros-Funded Group

Soros Funding Border Caravan Invasion

Soros Funded Groups Backing Mexico Caravan of Socialists

George Soros Funded groups are supporting illegal immigration

George Soros' money is behind the immigrant caravan now at the US border

But hey, I have an idea; why can't all those illegals simply be dropped off en masse, at every property Soros owns, and perhaps on the Vatican as well.

And I suggest this, because I have never, once, heard in either Soros' speeches, or Pope Francis' homilies, that either man would want to invite these people to live where they live. That's just.... not their problem.

That's just for us mere serfs to work out, no matter how much the cost of housing, educating, feeding, and training these illegal immigrants would be, in order to absorb them into society.

And in light of the fact that this government is already at a 21 trillion dollar deficit, just how, please does that get paid for?!?

Israeli Government Target Educational Institutions, Escalate Settlements Activities

In a clear violation of all laws and human rights principles, including the right to education and access to educational institutions, many Palestinian schools in the countryside and Bedouin communities were attacked by Israeli soldiers and settlers.

The Oref and Luban Sharqeia schools south of Nablus were attacked. 7 students were injured during the attack.

There were also shooting attacks by settlers and the Israeli occupation forces in the yard of Al-Tahadi 5 Elementary School in the village of Beit Ta’mir, east of Bethlehem, and the Tahadi 10 School in the Ibzik area in the occupied Northern Valleys. A number of caravans used as classrooms were destroyed.

The Israeli occupation forces handed down notices to demolish the Dabba Elementary school in Mafasser Yatta, south of Hebron, and to expel its teachers and students. They also hindered access to a school on Ramallah’s main Nablus Street.
