Monsanto has many weapons in its arsenal when it comes to eliminating competition from non-GMO and organic farmers. After more than two decades of pushing their products onto US farmland with purposely flawed safety studies, the sheer presence of genetically modified crops poses an existential threat to the business of traditional and organic farming.

A new report has come out showing the extraordinary costs that non-GMO and organic farmers incur from GMO contamination of their crops.

“Results from the newest USDA survey indicate that of the farmers who chose to answer the question, 92 had experienced monetary loss between 2011 and 2014 averaging approximately $66,395 per farmer during that timeframe. Overall, GMO presence cost organic farmers at least $6.1 million over four years. This figure is 77 times that reported during the 2006 to 2011 timeframe—a staggering increase.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Monsanto, and all the other GMO corporations, should be sued out of existence for the health damage they have caused in the US.

Of course, in this country, politicians on the take will make absolutely certain that this will never happen.

Athough it is true that the majority of doctors support vaccines, most of them don’t even know what vaccines contain or their dangers. Their training ends with knowing how to administer them. They are taught vaccine reactions are rare and they are quick to share the same assurances with their patients. These assurances are not based on objective science but merely on what they were told, what they were taught. Whether layperson or scientist, high school drop out or M.D., no one can research vaccine manufacturers, vaccine laws, and vaccine injuries and then conclude that vaccines are 100% safe and effective. All you have to do is read the warning insert for any vaccine to learn that truth.

Nasa Mars mystery solved: Space agency announces discovery of flowing briny water on Red Planet

Nasa has announced the discovery of traces of "briny flows" on the surface of Mars in a revelation that could point to life on the Red Planet. The US space agency put out a statement titled Nasa to announce Mars mystery solved on 24 September, stating that it will announce a "major science finding from the agency's ongoing exploration of Mars" at a news briefing on 28 September.

Webmaster's Commentary:

NASA, as usual, is way behind the times. More than likely they are grandstanding ahead of the budget discussions in Congress! Liquid water, presumably very salty, was spotted in a photo taken by the rover Opportunity in December 2004!

And, of course, indigenous Martian life was detected by Dr. Gilbert Levin's Labeled Release Experiment on the Viking missions in 1976.

UPDATE: Today NASA has changed the story to say they have "confirmed" the presence of liquid water on the surface of Mars!

Pope Francis speaks with God

The Pope was sitting in his Popemobile bubble outside the UN. He was eating a Twix and looking over his speech notes when the phone rang. He picked up.

Pope: Yes?

God: It’s God, Francis. What’s happening down there?

Pope: What, no hello, how are you doing?

God: Cut the crap. Is the UN buying your end-poverty-hunger-global warming pitch?

Pope: Of course. The UN, Obama, and I are on the same page. That’s why I’m here in New York. You think I’d visit this place otherwise? Looks like they won’t even let me go see the Mets.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Needless to say I am getting all these very nasty emails from women who don't want to be "that kind of girl" and bother with birth control and see abortion as retro-active birth control when they get pregnant. The emails contain the usual arguments; it is a blob of protoplasm, it cannot feel pain, men (including husbands) have nothing to say about it and SHUT THE HECK UP!!!!!

But I think in their heart if hearts they know they are wrong or they would not work so hard trying to force everyone to see the issue from their point of view.

As for myself; I am a big boy and I can make up my own mind thankyouverymuch.

Feel free to copy and use.

Microchipped Pharmaceuticals are the Surveillance State’s Next Weapon

Waking Times

Ever since the 9/11 terrorist attacks the powers that be cannot get enough surveillance on us. The latest in their quest for wanting to watch our every move comes in the form of microchipped pills. Not happy enough with monitoring our phone calls, computers and having a camera on us everywhere we go outside… the recently FDA-approved microchip in a pill will be the perfect excuse to place surveillance inside our bodies.

Men should have more sex to keep their prostate healthy, researcher says

Men should be having more sex to improve their prostate health, a natural health researcher says.

Along with other natural preventative measures like prostate massage and supplements, increased sex can improve prostate health, said Warren Matthews, researcher and founder of Xtend-Life Natural Products.

Matthews is concerned with the potential over-prescription of prostate medications, which can have serious side effects.

"There are thousands of men worldwide who have had unnecessary, invasive or non-surgical intervention ... and are now having to deal with sexual dysfunction, incontinence, rectal bleeding", he said.

"These side effects can have a dramatic impact on a man's sexual wellbeing and self-esteem. It's time for men to fight prostate cancer by understanding what clinically-proven natural alternatives are available, and practice prevention much earlier."

Pentagon to implant chips in US soldiers' brains

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) of the US Department of Defense is currently developing a program on electronic chips implanting into the brains of the American military. The secret was disclosed by a journalist Annie Jacobsen in her book "The Pentagon's Brain". "Of the 2.5 million Americans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, 300,000 of them came home with traumatic brain injury. DARPA initiated a series of programs to help cognitive functioning, to repair some of this damage. And those programs center around putting brain chips inside the tissue of the brain," Annie Jacobsen told in her book. According to the Ministerial officials, the main goal of the project is not a super soldier. Chips are allegedly needed for the defence. As it is known, the Neuroprosthetics implants has been already tested. The Pentagon hopes that chips implanting will be a new step towards the development of artificial intelligence and let them create robots of a higher level.

Sep 28 12:09

Inside the Pentagon’s efforts to create a super-soldier — and change the future of the battlefield. Retired four-star general Paul F. Gorman recalls first learning about the “weakling of the battlefield” from reading S.L.A.Marshall, the U.S. Army combat historian during World War II. After interviewing soldiers who participated in the Normandy beach landings, Marshall had learned that fatigue was responsible for an overwhelming number of casualties.

Russian scientist injects himself with 3,5-mn-yr-old 'immortality' bacteria to 'extend life'

Eternal youth... mankind's impossible dream through the ages... A Russian scientist thinks that - just maybe - the secret of eternal life may have actually been found. Deep in the permafrost of Siberia, a living bacteria was discovered that is old - very, very old.
Anatoly Brouchkov says that there is something about its DNA and genes that gives this cell extreme longevity and protects it from damage.

Sep 28 11:39

For decades, DARPA, the secretive research arm of the Department of Defense, has dreamed of turning soldiers into cyborgs. And now it’s finally happening. The agency has funded projects that involve implanting chips into soldiers’ brains that they hope will enhance performance on the battlefield and repair traumatized brains once the fog of war has lifted.

Creating super soldiers isn’t the only thing that DARPA is trying to do. According to Jacobsen’s new book, published by Little, Brown, government scientists hope that implanting chips in soldiers will unlock the secrets of artificial intelligence, and allow us to give machines the kind of higher-level reasoning that humans can do.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The problem with this brave new technology is, that the US government will not stop with just "implanting chips in the brains of soldiers"; this may well become a way of controlling all citizens of this country to the point that they may never have a critical or logical thought pop into their heads ever again, and will only "obey".

I don't know about you, but to me, the potential "dark side" of this technology just gives me the heebie jeebies.

Blood moon paints the sky red: Stargazers around the world look to the heavens to witness lunar spectacle for first time in 33 years

When the moon is at perigee, its shortest distance from the Earth, it is 226,000 miles away.

This makes it appear 14 per cent larger and 30 per cent brighter than when it is at its furthermost point.

The last time this coincided with a lunar eclipse, when the moon is covered by the Earth's shadow, was in 1982 - and it will not be repeated until 2033.

Russia Warns Global Chaos To Follow Worst Winter In History

A chilling new Ministry of Defense (MoD) report circulating in the Kremlin today warns that the potential for global chaos has grown “beyond all measure” due to the catastrophic effects being caused by the severe weakening of Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) that not only has slammed Europe with the “winter that never left” this year, but is now threatening to unleash upon the world another Little Ice Age (LIA) event.
Agreeing with Russian scientists warning of this global winter danger, this report notes, are several top climate scientists—including Stefan Rahmstorf of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and Michael Mann of Penn State, who in March released their shocking report titled Exceptional Twentieth-Century Slowdown In Atlantic Ocean Overturn Circulation warning of what is to come.

Patient undergoes breast removal surgery to find out she never had cancer

Stories like these clearly do not paint a good picture of the medical system. They are real situations that have unfolded and ones that can't be ignored. It shows that anyone, regardless of where they live, or their gender, race, age or profession, can become a victim of a disorganized, corrupt system or individual.

At the very least, it's important to be aware of stories like these and to always seek a second opinion. Always ask questions, even if it puts medical professionals on the spot; why not ask them to double-check charts to ensure they do indeed have the correct information and patient name? It may be awkward to question these professionals about something as basic as having the correct patient information, but isn't it worth it if it means potentially avoiding unnecessary surgeries and misdiagnosed sicknesses?

Mars 'mystery solved': has Nasa found water flowing on the Red Planet?

The space agency has called a press conference for Monday promising to announce "Mars Mystery Solved".

While many are hoping Nasa will announce it has discovered alien life, the leading theory appears to be an announcement of the presence of liquid water.

The speculation has been driven by Nasa's disclosure that Lujendra Ojha, a PhD student who discovered possible signs of water while an undergraduate student in 2011, will take part in Monday's announcement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

NASA, as usual, is way behind the times. Liquid water, presumably very salty, was spotted in a photo taken by the rover Opportunity in December 2004!

Mars 'mystery solved': has Nasa found water flowing on the Red Planet?

Scientists have long known that there is frozen water at the poles of Mars, but have yet to find it in liquid form - which would raise the chances of life being sustained on the Red Planet.

Earlier this year Nasa's Mars rover, Curiosity, found calcium perchlorate – a type of salt – in the soil, suggesting that salty liquid water could be present close to the planet’s surface.

Calcium perchlorate lowers the temperature at which water freezes, which could allow it to remain in liquid form even on Mars, where temperatures drop to -125 C in winter.

The salt also absorbs water from the atmosphere, dragging it down into the surface.

In December the Curiosity rover discovered 'burps' of methane, which could indicate life on Mars.

Maine mayor: ‘Name and shame’ welfare recipients so special needs kids will stay out my state

Robert MacDonald, mayor of Lewiston, said on Sunday that he wanted to publish a registry of welfare recipients because he was annoyed by disabled children coming to the state for help.

In a column last week MacDonald explained his plan to publish names, addresses and other personal information of welfare recipients.

According to MacDonald, Somali refugees were not the problem in his city because they had jobs. But he complained that “the domestic people” were abusing welfare benefits.

“They’re coming into our state, and what’s happened here is we have a school system,” MacDonald opined. “And one of the things about our schools system is second to none, it’s special ed education department that attracts them all.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

One is forced to conclude that MacDonald's "modest proposal" with which to "cure" the problem of kids with disabilities and their families coming to Maine because of their special ed programs is euthanasia for those children (perhaps he could get very excited by the idea of death of these children by firing squad), and the immediate, forcible sterilization of their mothers.

Now We Have the Opportunity to Restore the Constitution

Lyndon LaRouche said yesterday that we must use the United Nations General Assembly to return the US to its Constitution. That is, we must use the kaleidoscopic changes—for the better—in the policies of, and relationships among nations, which were triggered by Vladimir Putin's surprise flanking move into Syria, to shut down Wall Street and throw Barack Obama out of office.

Then, under extreme pressure, Obama was forced today to agree to a Monday meeting with Russia's President Putin,— one which will be very risky for Obama, because Putin sees through him and holds all the cards.

But remember LaRouche's stress on the point that Obama will not just go quietly,— on the contrary, his impulse will be to start a war rather than admit that his time is finally up.

Russia’s “Civilizational Choice”

This week, Vladimir Putin and a large number of national and foreign dignitaries and guests have inaugurated the biggest mosque in Europe: the new Moscow Cathedral Mosque. This was a big event, much awaited by the many tens of thousands of Russian Muslims who live in the Russian capital and who, in the past, have had to pray in the streets due to the lack of a mosque big enough to accommodate them all. This event, however, has a significance which much exceeds just the local lack of space. The truth is that most Muslims who prayed in the Moscow city center wanted more than just a bigger building – they wanted an official acknowledgement of their existence and of their importance for Russia. Now this much awaited acknowledgement has finally happened and the famous Moscow city center will feature 240 foot tall golden minarets which will elegantly complement the traditional Orthodox cupolas.

Intense flu season comes to end, leaving two dead

Check out the last paragraph.
It's been the most intense flu season in four years but the worst is over, experts say.

The number of people with flu symptoms visiting their doctor dropped rapidly last week, said Dr Sue Huang, the World Health Organisation's National Influenza Centre director.

"We had a peak in August and now it is falling quite rapidly. In the South Island this year we had a lot of flu B and in the North Island we had a lot of flu A," she said.

"This year was very similar to 2012 and also 2010 in peak and intensity."

Sickness levels were compounded by a number of other respiratory viruses causing flu-like symptoms.

In mid-July, a 4-year-old boy died of flu after he was admitted to hospital suffering pneumonia. Flu also claimed the life of a 77-year-old woman.

Doctors said more than four times the number of people were infected this winter compared to last year.

Health Insurance Deductibles Double in less than a Decade

American workers are paying considerably higher deductibles on their health insurance this decade, with some increases doubling in size.

A report from the Kaiser Family Foundation found the yearly average of deductibles for individual plans went from $900 in 2010 to more than $1,300 in 2015. The average deductible for small business employees is higher: $1,800 per year. The foundation said about 20% of all workers are paying deductibles of $2,000 or more—more than double the average cost five years ago.

The increases in deductibles have also outpaced increases in wages over the last five years, according to The New York Times. “Deductibles have risen more than six times faster than workers’ earnings since 2010,” the Times’ Reed Abelson wrote.

Deductibles also have become more common for employees, with about 80% of workers now being forced to pay them as part of their health insurance through employers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Of course, this is precisely the outcome which happens when the "health care" legislation Congress passes is written by the very industry the legislation is supposed to "regulate"; the medical insurance industry!!

Some people who need medication are not going to their doctors to get it, because it has become financially impossible for them to do so; and particularly for many older Americans who are on Medicare plus a supplemental insurance, this is just out of the question.

Scotland's decision to ban GM crops could create impression country is 'anti-science', experts warn

Scotland’s decision to ban genetically modified crops could damage its ability to attract the best scientists, stunt the growth of businesses and lead to the country being perceived as “anti-science”, according to one of the country’s most respected academic institutions.

In an official advice paper, the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) criticised the Scottish Government’s ban, saying it had used “emotive language likely to fuel negative public perceptions about GM” and had assumed “a degree of public hostility” about the technology which does not exist.

Calling for “rational and respectful debate” on the issue, the RSE said an outright ban on GM crops “does nothing to enhance Scotland’s longstanding reputation for scientific creativity” and may “damage its ability to attract and retain innovative researchers and disadvantage the growth of important Scottish businesses”.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to wonder just how much the GMO corporations paid for this paper.

And let us just look at a "modest proposal", shall we?!? I would like to suggest that every single "scientist" who contributed to this be compelled - along with their families, particularly the babies and toddlers - to eat nothing but GMO foods for the next five years, followed by their medical practitioners, and the reports of those medical findings be made public.

I would almost be willing to bet that these people are in for some unexpected outcomes of their diet.

As the leader of one of the world’s largest religions, the Pope has incredible influence. Even many who aren’t Catholic feel a sort of reverence toward Francis, as if he truly is the conduit through which Christ delivers his message. Given this, the weight of his words and actions can be hazardous.

Study Finds that Meth Crime Spikes in Counties Where Alcohol Sales are Banned

According to a recent study, counties that ban the sale of alcohol have a higher rate of meth crime than counties where booze is legal. Researchers at the University of Louisville determined that if all dry counties in the state permitted the sale of alcohol, the total number of meth lab seizures in Kentucky would decline by about 25%. In a paper titled “Breaking Bad: Are Meth Labs Justified in Dry Counties?” researchers at the University of Louisville found that over a fourth of the 120 counties in Kentucky are dry, which means that the sale of alcohol is banned in all forms. The researchers also discovered that the alcohol control laws describe potentially severe penalties for violating local alcohol prohibition. Although the first criminal offense is a class B misdemeanor, the third offense is a felony with up to $10,000 in fines and 10 years in prison.

Pope Francis To Meet Man Jailed For Marijuana During US Prison Visit

While Pope Francis has been progressive on many issues, from caring for the poor to protecting our environment, he hasn’t exactly extended his progressiveness to cannabis law reform. In fact, Pope Francis spoke out against legalizing marijuana and ending the Drug War as the Washington Times reported back in June of 2014:

Francis said during a drug enforcement conference in Rome that even the most limited of tries to give legal status to the drug is “not only highly questionable from a legislative standpoint,” but such would “fail to produce the desired results,” AP reported.

“Doomsday” Arctic Seed Vault Tapped for First Time in History as Syrian Civil War Threatens Biodiversity

With Russian boots officially on the ground at Latakia and with rumors circulating that the PLA may arrive within weeks, Syria has officially replaced eastern Ukraine as the most likely theatre for the start of World War 3.

While we certainly hope that cooler heads will prevail, the determination on the part of Washington, Riyadh, and Doha to oust the Assad regime simply isn’t compatible with Tehran and Moscow’s efforts to preserve the existing global balance of power which means that something will ultimately have to give and if it becomes clear that Iran is set to benefit in any way from whatever the outcome ends up being, expect Benjamin Netanyahu to make another trip to The Kremlin, only next time, he won’t be so cordial.

This Icelandic volcano is three times as toxic as all of Europe’s industry

A massive eruption from a volcano called Bárðarbunga in Iceleand was found to release as much as three times the amount of toxic gas that is currently emitted by all of the industry in the entire continent of Europe, based on a new study.

The volcano released at least 120,000 tons of sulphur dioxide gas per day, which is the leading cause behind acid rain and can also lead to serious respiratory issues. The eruption, which happened last year, is the biggest on record in the last 200 years. A river of lava flowed throughout the northern section of Iceland for a duration of nearly six months.

New Horizons: Pluto displays rippling terrain

A great swathe of Pluto that features a strange rippling terrain is perhaps the highlight of the latest image release from the New Horizons mission.

The Nasa probe, which flew by the dwarf planet in July, continues to downlink its data, and as it comes in, the scientists get to work on it.

The ripples stretch for many hundreds of km.

"It looks more like tree bark or dragon scales than geology," observed mission team member Bill McKinnon.

NSA head: Clinton server a 'priority' target for foreign agencies

Gee! Looks like Mike was right again!

The head of the National Security Agency told a Senate Committee on Thursday that Hillary Clinton’s former email setup would be an “opportunity” for the U.S. if it had been used by a top foreign diplomat.

“From a foreign intelligence perspective, that would represent opportunity,” Adm. Michael Rogers testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

The server would be a “top priority for foreign intelligence services,” Rogers agreed in response to a question from Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.).

The comments are only likely to deepen the political trouble for Clinton, the former secretary of State whose “home-brew” email setup has threatened to engulf her campaign for the White House.

BMW and Mercedes hit as fraud scandal spreads

BMW was sucked into the widening Volkswagen fraud scandal yesterday after a report stated that emissions from one of the carmaker’s models were far higher than the European Union limit.

Shares in BMW fell by nearly 10 per cent at one point after it was claimed that emissions from the X3 were 11 times the legal threshold under the same tests that first raised concerns about VW.

The disclosure came on a day of crisis in the car industry as the German government admitted that software used by VW to cheat in American laboratory tests was also used in Europe.

Another "Low Calorie Sugar" Coming On the Market

By Catherine J. Frompovich

Over the years we have seen all types of sugar substitutes and synthetics produced, and used, in the hopes of dealing with consumers’ sugar cravings while supposedly not increasing weight gain. However, there’s a “new kid” coming to the sugar neighborhood; it’s “allulose,” which will be marketed under the trade name DOLCIA PRIMA® Allulose. Another name for it is D-Psicose. The prime market is not “direct-to-consumers” but to food processors who will use it as an ingredient in all sorts of processed foods...
