KEANU REEVES HAS BEEN RUNNING A SECRET CANCER FOUNDATION TO FUND CHILDREN'S HOSPITALS

The Matrix movie series was one of the most revolutionary works of art to ever come out of Hollywood. Its pro-humanity, anti-authoritarian message instantly made it a classic and it has since become the subject of internet memes and (red pill) movements alike. At the center of this silver-screen revolution is Keanu Reeves whose real-life heroism makes his role as Neo that much more incredible.

It is no secret that Keanu Reeves is Hollywood’s biggest low-key real-life hero, but did you know that he also secretly funds children’s hospitals? We didn’t, and most people probably wouldn’t either as the upcoming star of the sci-fi thriller Replicas is not exactly boastful of his contributions to society—unlike many other Hollywood celebrities.

THE GOVERNMENT’S BIOTERROR-RESPONSE WEBSITE MAY BE LEAKING SENSITIVE DATA

The U.S. government’s chief tool to coordinate responses to bioterror events has for years suffered from big security problems, according to Homeland Security Department inspectors and a former employee.

For more than 15 years, the United State’s first line of defense against a major biological incident has been a program called BioWatch. Its sensors, mounted (600 in more than 30 cities across the U.S.), works like canaries in a coal mine. If a terrorist released, say, a deadly aerosolized biological toxin into Grand Central Terminal, sensors would pick up the toxin. Health care workers collect samples from the sensors and bring them to BioWatch labs every day.

SCIENTISTS WILL BEGIN GEOENGINEERING EXPERIMENT AND TRY TO BLOCK THE SUN

Scientists have decided to publicly attempt a geoengineering experiment. The researchers from Harvard University are going to attempt to use particles to block out the sun in an attempt to save humanity from global warming, and cool the planet.

According to Popular Mechanics, this incredibly bad-sounding idea seems like it stemmed from an actual event. In 1991, the volcano Mount Pinatubo erupted in the Philippines, sending millions of tons of ash and sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere. This layer of particulates actually lowered global temperatures by almost a full degree Fahrenheit for the following two years.

Researchers speculated that by filling the atmosphere with a similar level of particulates that were shot into the sky during the 1991 eruption, while skipping the lava and explosions, they might be able to reduce global temperatures enough to halt or delay some of the more severe consequences of “climate change.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Hey, now, what could POSSIBLY go wrong, except... everything?!?!?

NC hospital reviewing 9,200 cases after lab mistakes wrongly diagnosed cancer

After at least 10 patients received improper diagnoses owed to pathology lab errors, Winston Salem, N.C.-based Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center has been reviewing 9,291 cases ahead of a June deadline set by CMS that could strip its Medicare certification.

As North Carolina Health News reports, Wake Forest Baptist’s errors were costly. Of the 10 already identified, three of them underwent unnecessary surgery and radiation treatment in 2016 and 2017, including one who received a double mastectomy despite not having breast cancer. A fourth patient was “underdiagnosed,” only having breast cancer diagnosed 13 months after her biopsy.

Report Johnson & Johnson knew for decades of asbestos in baby powder wipes $47 billion off market cap

Shares of Johnson & Johnson tumbled 12 per cent on Friday and were on track to post their biggest percentage drop in more than 16 years, after Reuters reported that the pharma major knew for decades that cancer-causing asbestos lurked in its Baby Powder.

The decline in shares erased about US$47 billion from the company’s market capitalization with investors worrying about the fallout of the report as it faces thousands of talc-related lawsuits.

“It is not surprising that an article from Reuters outlining years of potential knowledge regarding the perils of talc should agitate investors,” BMO Capital Markets analyst Joanne Wuensch said.

“This is not a simple matter, as there are more than 10,000 pending cases.”

The mysterious rise of meat allergies: Tick bites are driving rates up - but researchers warn many cases are actually due to sugar sensitivity

Clue to solving the mysterious rise of meat allergies:

https://healthimpactnews.com/2017/gelatin-in-vaccines-can-cause-allerg...

Clinical allergy to the ingestion of gelatin may or may not be present in patients who have allergic reactions to the systemic injection of gelatin. Reactions to a gelatin-containing vaccine may occur after the first dose of vaccine because of prior exposure to (and sensitization from) gelatin in other medications or vaccines or by ingestion of gelatin-containing foods.

What this essentially means is that people with a gelatin food allergy may develop an anaphylactic reaction after receiving a gelatin-containing vaccine; however, it has also been reported that people without a prior gelatin allergy can also experience anaphylactic reactions in response to gelatin-containing vaccines.

The ministry said it has information that the illegal excavation work has been increased in the areas where the aforementioned forces have a presence and a clout over local militia groups.

"These actions represent a new war crime added to the crimes committed against the Syrian people and the Syrian heritage," said the ministry, adding that the looting of artifacts is part of the scheme to destroy the cultural heritage and historic identity of Syria.

Simple way to avoid the flu and common colds: Consume more probiotics

In a placebo-controlled trial that involved 250 participants, researchers tested out a mix of five different probiotic bacteria strains against the flu, and they found that they dramatically reduced the incidence of flu and cold alike.

In the study, the placebo group noted 16 flu episodes, while there were just three flu episodes in the group that took probiotics. This means the people who did not take probiotics had a four times greater likelihood of developing the flu.

It wasn’t just influenza that probiotics helped them avoid. The group taking the oral probiotic mixture also had a 35 percent lower incidence of the common cold. Among those who did get ill, the mixture made their symptoms less severe. Researchers reported the probiotics caused a 39 percent drop in the duration of coughs and a 22 percent drop in the duration of colds.

Tennessee U.S. Rep.-elect Mark Green alleges vaccines may cause autism, questions CDC data

A soon-to-be congressman from Tennessee told constituents Tuesday he believed vaccines may be causing autism, questioning data from the Centers for Disease Control and other institutions disproving such a theory.

Not only did Republican Mark Green, a Congressman-elect from Clarksville who is also a medical doctor, express hesitation about the CDC's stance on vaccines, he also said he believed the federal health agency has "fraudulently managed" the data.

His remarks came in response to an audience question at a town hall meeting in Franklin from a woman identifying herself as the parent of a young adult with autism. The woman was concerned about possible cuts to Medicaid funding.

"Let me say this about autism," Green said. "I have committed to people in my community, up in Montgomery County, to stand on the CDC’s desk and get the real data on vaccines. Because there is some concern that the rise in autism is the result of the preservatives that are in our vaccines.

Harvard's $39B Endowment Is Secretly Acquiring California's Water Supply

Harvard University's endowment (valued at $39 billion as of 2018) is the largest academic endowment in the world. The private investment company has been quietly snapping up farmland and related water rights to properties located in the California region.

Harvard formed Brodiaea in 2012, and by 2015 the company had already acquired 10,000 acres in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties for roughly $60 million, according to Reuters.

Human origins found in America NOT China as 56 million-year-old teeth UNEARTHED

Scientists have revealed new fossil analysis of an ancient jawbone belonging to a primate called Teilhardina.

Bungee Cords and Their Uses in Off-Grid and Survival Situations

From a reader:

This article will provide a great sense of false security.

1st, DO NOT use a bungee cord to secure your hood! Even in an emergency.
The force of wind going under that hood is WAY more than any bungee cord can hold. It will shred the cord and you will watch your hood fly up, snap off of the hinges and (likely) smash into your windshield on its way over your car.

2nd, never heard of "Load Bearing Equipment" (LBE) being called LCE.
Either a civilian or maybe some group besides the Army calls the LCE.

3rd, bungees are terrible for making tents. Again, they just aren't strong enough in windy conditions. If you are using plastic, expect the grommets to be ripped out.

Polio-Like Disease Spreads; Record Number Of Cases Reported As Children Suffer Paralysis

2018 has seen a record number of cases of a polio-like illness which paralyzes children, according to US health officials.

Experts still have no idea what's causing children across the country to lose the ability to move their arms, legs, face, heck, or back - around a week after patients are diagnosed with a fever and respiratory illness. The rare disease which starts off like the common cold affects the nervous system, "specifically the area of the spinal cord called gray matter, which causes the muscles and reflexes in the body to become weak," according to the CDC.

Around half of the children diagnosed were admitted to hospital intensive care units - with many requiring breathing machines. Officials also have no idea why some children recover from the illness, while others are left paralyzed.

FLASHBACK - Goldman Sachs asks in biotech research report: 'Is curing patients a sustainable business model?'

Goldman Sachs analysts attempted to address a touchy subject for biotech companies, especially those involved in the pioneering "gene therapy" treatment: cures could be bad for business in the long run.

"Is curing patients a sustainable business model?" analysts ask in an April 10 report entitled "The Genome Revolution."

"The potential to deliver 'one shot cures' is one of the most attractive aspects of gene therapy, genetically-engineered cell therapy and gene editing. However, such treatments offer a very different outlook with regard to recurring revenue versus chronic therapies," analyst Salveen Richter wrote in the note to clients Tuesday. "While this proposition carries tremendous value for patients and society, it could represent a challenge for genome medicine developers looking for sustained cash flow."

The World Is Now Facing The Second Deadliest Ebola Outbreak In Human History

The second deadliest Ebola virus outbreak has now spread to a major city. This spread is complicating already strained attempts at containment in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC.)

There has been a “significant increase” in Ebola infections there over the past three weeks, with a total of 25 confirmed cases thus far, according to Thursday’s bulletin from the country’s health ministry. ABC News reported that the virus has now spread to a major city, Butembo, which is home to almost 1 million people. Butembo is also a key trading and transport hub with links to other major cities in the country as well as to the neighboring country, Uganda. It’s about two times the size of the city of Beni, the outbreak’s epicenter, and is located just 35 miles away. The health ministry said the “high density and mobility” of Butembo’s population presents new challenges to containment efforts, already complicated by sporadic rebel attacks on remote villages in and around Beni.

As a source in the domestic space industry told TASS earlier, the spacewalk’s main task is to inspect a hole on the external surface of the habitation module of the Soyuz MS-09 spacecraft, unsealing thermal insulation and the meteorite shield in the spot determined by the crew as lacking air tightness. The operation to open up the spacecraft’s meteorite shield will be carried out in outer space for the first time in the history of cosmonautics. Kononenko and Prokopyev will unseal thermal insulation and the meteorite shield, inspect and make a photo of the hole in the habitation module.

Scientists working for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology are using a biological virus to help computers work much faster. When your computer stores data, it has to pause while the information moves from one piece of hardware to another, but apparently, this virus will stop that delay.

Not So Fast

The media branch of “the Resistance” wet its pantsuits last Friday when Robert Mueller released sentencing memos on Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen, the human keys to the dungeon they would like to toss Mr. Trump into. Over in the House of Representatives, incoming Judiciary Committee chair Jerrold Nadler spooged himself into a rapture as visions of impeachment lap-danced in his head. Their victory orgasms may prove premature.

The memos themselves were not all they were cracked up to be.

Nasa's Voyager 2 probe 'leaves the Solar System'

It was launched 16 days before its twin craft, Voyager 1, but that probe's faster trajectory meant that it was in "the space between the stars" six years before Voyager 2.

The news was revealed at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) meeting in Washington.

And chief scientist on the mission, Prof Edward Stone, confirmed it.

He said both probes had now "made it into interstellar space" and that Voyager 2's date of departure from the Solar System was 5 November 2018.

On that date, the steady stream of particles emitted from the Sun that were being detected by the probe suddenly dipped. This indicated that it had crossed the "heliopause" - the term for the outer edge of the Sun's protective bubble of particles and magnetic field.

And while its twin craft beat it to this boundary, the US space agency says that Voyager 2 has a working instrument aboard that will provide "first-of-its-kind observations of the nature of this gateway into interstellar space".

The criminalization of science whistleblowers: A mind-blowing interview with Judy Mikovits, PhD

In one of the most shocking science videos you’ll see this year, molecular biologist Judy A. Mikovits, PhD, reveals the disturbing true story of how she was thrown in prison for blowing the whistle on deadly viral contamination of human vaccines.

With a well established history of working for the National Cancer Institute as a cancer research, Dr. Mikovits worked with human retroviruses like HIV. Her work focused on immunotherapy research and involved HIV.

In 2009, she was working on autism and related neurological diseases. She found that many of the study subjects has cancer, motor-neuron disorders and chronic fatigue Syndrome (CFS). She believed a virus may have been responsible for these symptoms, and through her research, she isolated the viruses that turned out to come from mice.
