Saudi Woman May Face Sex Charges, 2 Years In Jail For Hugging Pop Star.

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA: A woman may face charges under a new harassment law in Saudi Arabia after storming a stage to hug a pop star, authorities and local media said Sunday.
The woman could face two years in prison and a fine of up to 100,000 Saudi riyals ($27,000, 23,000 euros), attorney Abdulkarim al-Qadi told the Okaz news site.

The woman, who has not been identified, was dressed in a full-length abaya and niqab face cover when she jumped on stage to hug Iraqi singer Majid al-Muhandis, whose love songs are hugely popular in the Gulf.

A police statement said the woman had been arrested on Friday night for "criminal acts as per the anti-harassment regulatory act".

‘If Iran can't export oil no-one in Middle East will,’ Tehran warns

Iran has threatened to block the Strait of Hormuz, a vital artery for oil shipments from the Middle East. The warning comes in response to the US, which is trying to cut off Iranian crude exports.

After pulling out of a landmark international deal curtailing Tehran's nuclear program, Washington has ordered countries to cease buying oil from Iran by November 4 or face secondary US sanctions. Major European energy corporations like France's Total have already pulled out of Iran.

Iran's supreme leader's senior adviser for international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati said his country will retaliate.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Nothing ambiguous here!

But there are moments when I wish our very communicative President wouldn't attempt to threaten allies over not importing Iranian oil, and give that ultimatum a "drop dead" date, which I believe, is 4 November.

Trump presses allies to quit importing Iranian oil by November 4

So what happens on November 5th?!? Is President Trump going to attack every single ally which did not stop importing Iranian oil?!?

Or is that the planned start of a military attack against Iran itself?!?

I think it would make sense to start paying attention to large US troop movements in the Middle East right after Labor Day this year.

And Mr. President, please be aware; Russia has historically pledged to protect Iran should it be militarily attacked.

We have seen just how well Russia's weaponry performs in Syria; are you really serious about going to war against Iran, understanding that it will be supported by Russian troops and Russian hardware?!?

I would like to think not, please, Mr. President: at this time in its history, the US military does not have the weaponry; the troop strength; the manufacturing; or the money to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war in Iran against Russia.

Saudi King absolves troops of any future accountability for their conduct in Yemen war

A royal decree by Saudi King Salman has ‘pre-exonerated’ all troops fighting in Yemen from any accountability issues they may face over their conduct in the war, in which thousands of civilians have been killed and wounded.

A statement announcing the early pardon, released by Saudi Arabia's state news agency SPA, said the pardon extends to “all military men across the armed forces” taking part in Operation Restoring Hope, citing the official codename of the Riyadh-led invasion of Yemen.

Amnesty International Calls for Investigation Into UAE Torture in Yemen Prisons

Human rights group Amnesty International has accused the United Arab Emirates and Yemeni forces allied with them against the Houthi government of torturing detainees at a number of secret prisons in the south of Yemen, calling for a war crimes investigation.

The UAE, along with Saudi Arabia, the US, supported by allies in Yemen and others, have been engaged in bitter war against the Houthis since they seized control of the government in the capital of Sana'a on September 21, 2014.

The United Nations estimates that more people will have died by the end of 2018 as a result of the conflict than Jews died during the Holocaust, primarily noncombatant deaths due to practices of forced famines, although a cholera outbreak resulting from destruction of infrastructure from bombing campaigns has also taken many lives. In addition, a number of men have been disappeared by Emirati and Yemeni militias "operating outside the command of their own government," AI said in a report Thursday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Such an investigation will happen only... when pigs discover they are aerodynamic.

The Starving Children of Yemen

Henrietta Fore of UNICEF reports on the appalling conditions in Yemen:

As Fore reminds us, a Yemeni child dies from preventable causes every ten minutes. That adds up to almost 50,000 dead children every year in a war that has dragged on for more than three years. These children are perishing because of starvation created by the Saudi coalition blockade and bombing campaign and from outbreaks of preventable disease that the blockade and bombing campaign have made much harder to combat. The blockade impedes delivery of essential food and medicine and makes them prohibitively expense for most people in a country whose economy has been devastated.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please remember; the US government and military are complicit in the Saudi genocide and war crimes in Yemen.

How does it make you feel to understand that you are a citizen of a country complicit in war crimes?!?

I must tell you; it makes me physically ill to understand this. And as a Christian Pacifist Activist, as long as I have breath in my body, I will continue to peacefully witness to what is going on here.

And here are images of what is happening in Yemen, ultimately supported by your tax dollars, and committed in your name.

Images, 2018: Yemeni children dying of malnutrition

Please take a good hard look at these images; then please send this link to your Congressional Representatives, and tell them (peacefully and politely) that you can no longer support US war crimes in Yemen, or those Congressional Representatives who support this.

They understand that this is going on; but now, they need to learn that we also understand now what is going on, and are peacefully and politely asking your Congressional Representives to stop it.

Saudi Arabia Issues Royal Pardon for Everything Soldiers Have Done in Yemen

On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia announced that it is issuing a royal pardon for any and all Saudi troops engaged in the war in Yemen, covering all crimes related to violating military rules and discipline. They said this is to show appreciation for the “heroics” of the invading forces.

The Saudi invasion of Yemen has been widely controversial internationally. Saudi airstrikes have killed massive numbers of Yemeni civilians, and the war has also caused a famine, and the largest cholera epidemic in human history.

Faced with UN criticism, Saudi officials heavily resisted allegations of wrongdoing, and ultimately got the UN to agree that Saudi Arabia would be allowed to investigate its own forces, and police themselves. This pardon shows none of that is going to matter.

Two killed in attack on security checkpoint in Saudi Arabia's Qassim: Interior ministry

A Bangladeshi resident and a member of Saudi Arabia's security forces have been killed in an attack on a security checkpoint in the town of Buraydah in the Qassim province, north of the capital Riyadh.

"A security checkpoint on the Buraydah-Tarfiyah road in Qassim region came under fire from three terrorists riding in a vehicle on Sunday afternoon," said a statement released by the kingdom's interior ministry on Sunday.

"Two of the terrorists were killed and a third was wounded and transferred to hospital," it added.

“Three terrorists opened fire on the security checkpoint located at Buraidah-Tarafiya road in Al-Qassim. The security forces fired back, killing two terrorists, and wounding the third,” said a statement published by the state news agency SPA.

Saudi coalition acting on behalf of Zionists in Yemen: Houthi

The leader of Yemen's popular Houthi Ansarullah movement says the Saudi coalition's aim is to carry out the Zionist regime's goals in the region.

The enemy is using lies and excuses to justify its attack on our western coast, but their goal is to take over the whole country including its islands, coast and ports, said Abdul-Malik al-Houthi on Saturday.

He noted that the invading forces' agenda came to light after rejecting the UN envoys initiative on the city of Hudaydah.

While praising the role of popular forces for supporting Yemeni troops in the western coast, Houthi called on the nation to continue reinforcing the battle against the aggressors.

"The invaders thought that they could take over the western coast overnight and easily conquer the coastal region, but their failure has become known to everyone," he added.

Yemen on Brink of Catastrophe as U.N. Envoy Pushes for Truce: U.S. backing of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates could be enabling the disaster.

top U.N. diplomat is trying to broker a truce between warring factions in Yemen as aid groups and country experts warn of a brewing humanitarian catastrophe.

Martin Griffiths, the U.N. special envoy for Yemen, is visiting in the capital of Sanaa to mediate between government forces and Houthi rebels, whose three-year war is seen as a proxy for a broader conflict between a U.S.-allied Arab coalition on one side and Iran on the other.

The United Arab Emirates, which backs Yemen’s government alongside Saudi Arabia, has sent forces to the Houthi-held city of Hodeida, whose port supplies the country with 70 percent of its humanitarian and commercial goods.

Aid groups fear that a battle there could make the port inaccessible to the rest of the country, where some 8.4 million people are on the brink of starvation and millions more rely on humanitarian aid.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I sincerely doubt that Martin Griffiths will be allowed to succeed here, in stopping the fighting.

And I say this, because, like the General in the film "Avatar", the US, UAE and Saudi leadership want to create a crater in the memory holes of the Yemeni people so painfully huge, that they never rise up in this manner again, ever.

And if that means genocide through air and ground attacks, starvation, disease, and amputations on toddler's legs from war wounds, with no anaesthesia, terrific! Bring it!

That appears to be your current view of what is, and should be happening, in Yemen, in the eyes of these men, and their military.

But I would like to politely, quietly, and peacefully suggest to the Butcher of Yemen, AKA, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Salman, the UAE president Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and to President Trump, the world is watching here.

IF you choose not to allow a negotiated peace here move forward, after all the war crimes you have collectively inflicted on the peole of Yemen over the last 3 years, the world will be condemning outright what you are doing here, and history will remember you all as war criminals, but nothing more.

And to Ivanka Trump and Melania Trump, two very smart women to whom the President does pay attention: please show President Trump the following images of what US enabled Saudi war crimes look like in Yemen; I don't think the rest of his advisors have shown him these images, and I think he needs to see them.

Images: Yemeni children killed by Saudi Bombing Runs

And no, ladies; these images have not been photoshopped to make them appear to be more gruesome than they already are.

Blaming Iran for the Sufferings of Yemenis Is Laughable

The new U.S. leadership is resorting to every ploys and lies to demonize Iran. The new project of Iranophobia has intensified since Pompeo confirmed as secretary of state in late April. He seems to be superseding in animosity against Iran in comparison to John Bolton, the national security advisor to Trump.

Pompeo’s degree of hatred toward Iran was fully laid bare during his speech at the Heritage Foundation on May 21 in Washington.

It is quite clear to the entire world that it is Saudi Arabia and the UAE – the United States’ close friends – which have created human tragedy in Yemen by strangulating and starving millions of people in the poor Arab country. Maybe it is the easiest way to blame Iran for what Washington’s friends have been doing.

How can Iran, even if it wanted, to help Yemeni rebels while the country is besieged by the Saudi-led alliance. Attempts to link the miseries of the Yemenis to Iran can never hide the crimes being committed by the Saudi-led coalition.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would characterise President Trump, in his wanting to sell more and more weapons to the Saudis, for the purpose of its genocidal assault against Yemen, as the American Merchant-of-Death-in-Chief.

Oh, and BTW, Mr. President: here is what US government-enabled Saudi war crimes in Yemen look like:

Images: Yemeni children murdered by Saudi bombing runs

Mr. President, as a Christian pacifist activist, and witness, as long as there is breath in my body, I will continue to advocate for a US foreign policy which values moral, hard-won negotiations over the use of bombs and bullets, as the way the US should be resolving its international disputes.

But to blame Iran for the craziness of the US-enabled Saudi military's war crimes in Yemen, is disingenuous beyond belief, sir: it will not, and cannot, work, because the American people have awakened from their geopolitical slumber, after having been lied to about the justifications for the wars in Iraq, Libya, and Afghanistan, and will be both peacefully, and effectively vigilant, that the US not be lied into another war, this time against Iran, no matter how much Sheldon Adelson, Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu, and the Butcher of Yemen (AKA Prince bin Salman) want the US military to fight this war.

Number of Yemenis Fleeing Hudaydah Tops 121,000

A new UN report showed that more than 121,000 people have recently fled Yemen’s port city of Hudaydah due to fierce attacks by Saudi-led coalition forces. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said in its latest situation report on Hudaydah released Wednesday that displacement from the Hudaydah Governorate continues, Middle East News reported. “Humanitarian partners have verified more than 17,350 households (over 121,000 people) being displaced since June 1,” it added. “More than 10,000 displaced households (nearly 80,000 people) have been assisted with food, emergency kits, and other life-saving support,” it noted. The OCHA said that after the partial calm of the last few days, air raids were carried out near the Hudaydah-Sana'a road and Hudaydah airport, adding that “intensive airstrikes were also reported on 4 July in the Southern Zaid District".

Secretary of Iran's Human Rights Council Mohammad Javad Larijani blasted Riyadh, UAE, the US and Britain for their extensive human rights violations in Yemen, stressing the need for relevant international bodies to put them on trial. "The crimes committed by Saudi Arabia, UAE, the US and Britain in Yemen and other parts of the world are clear instances of human rights violation and they should be tried at international tribunals," Larijani said on Monday. He also expressed displeasure with Saudi Arabia's membership in the UN Human Rights Council, calling for the country's expulsion for its extensive human rights violations. Meantime, Larijani welcomed US President Donald Trump's decision to cancel its membership in the UN Human Rights Council.

A recent report has revealed that Yemeni army soldiers and fighters from allied Popular Committees killed and injured dozens of Saudi soldiers in the kingdom’s southwestern border regions in June as part of their retaliatory raids against the Riyadh regime’s aerial bombardment campaign.

Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah television network, citing unnamed Saudi social media activists, reported that Yemeni forces and their allies fatally shot 30 troopers in the regions of Jizan, Najran and Asir last month.

Another 46 also sustained injuries in retaliatory attacks.

Another Saudi Coalition Wedding Massacre in Yemen

This is just the latest wedding massacre carried out by Saudi coalition forces. The coalition has illegally treated all of Saada as a military target for three years, and it has routinely struck civilian targets ever since. U.S. military assistance to the coalition enables attacks like this one, and it has not made coalition attacks any less likely to hit civilian targets. On the contrary, by providing the coalition with unconditional backing for its campaign and refusing to criticize them for their war crimes the U.S. makes attacks on civilians a certainty. There is no excuse for providing weapons and fuel to governments that slaughter people in their homes, schools, markets, and during their wedding celebrations. That support must end, and it is long past time that Congress voted to end it.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As long as I have breath, I will peacefully, logically, and clearly witness to the US enabling of Saudi war crimes in Yemen.

These people, particularly the children, are not "expendable" or collateral damage; they were innocent civilians who had the horrifically bad luck to be at the absolute wrong place at the absolute wrong time.

Here are some images of what the US is assisting the Saudis in doing in Yemen:

Images: Yemeni civilians, infants, and children, slaughtered by Saudi air raids

If you can look at these, and feel absolutely nothing about the pain, suffering, and death these US-enabled Saudi troops are creating, toward a complete genocide of the Yemeni people... I'm sorry, but you cannot truly be a human being.

LEAKED EMAILS REVEAL PRO-SAUDI INTRIGUE AT 2016 GOP CONVENTION, ATTEMPTS TO SUPPRESS 9/11 DOCUMENTS

Late last week Middle East Eye published the bombshell contents of newly leaked emails which confirm that "the relationship between the Emiratis and the president’s [Trump's] inner circle was cemented earlier than previously thought." And this follows previous emails which we've reported on here.

The new batch of emails shed further light on UAE and Saudi efforts to penetrate the Republican platform in 2016, which the emails show "was altered to remove a call for the publication of 28 pages of allegedly incriminating documents from the 9/11 inquiry" — and attempts to prevent Trump from making any remarks that could potentially embarrass Saudi Arabia, specifically (as one email reads) "the issue of her [Hillary Clinton] taking Saudi Arabian money".

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have almost all but given up on the American political process, because of the naked corruption evidenced by both sides of the aisle.

I wish Mike and I could claim asylum, or citizenship, in a country which doesn't stoop to war crimes through which to achieve its geopolitical agendas (as in the US government enabling the Saudi government with war crimes in Yemen), but we are, unfortunately, both too old, and too broke, to make something like this happen.

100 attacks on journalists in Yemen

Some 100 cases of media freedom violations have been recorded in the first half of 2018 by the Yemeni Journalists’ Syndicate (YJS) reported yesterday.

“The statistics show that the systematic war on the media and press freedom continues in a hostile and violent manner by all sides” of the Yemen conflict, the YJS said in its report. The YJS recorded 100 cases impacting journalists, including the targeting of media organisations.

Journalists endured the threat of kidnappings, arrest, torture, blocking of news sites and suspension of salaries according to YSJ. Some 47 of the 100 cases were attributed to the Yemen government, which reportedly took place in government buildings and security bases.

The report goes on to blame the Houthis for 39 cases, while attributing six to the Saudi-led coalition and eight to unknown group or individuals.

Oil Tumbles After Al Jazeera Reports Saudis Agree To Trump Demand To Pump More Oil

With oil rising to the highest price since November 2014 less than an hour ago, with WTI hitting $75, oil suddenly tumbled on what appeared to be no news, prompting traders to ask if the US had sold even more oil from the SPR.

It turns out the reason is to be found in an article published moments ago by Al Jazeera, according to which the Saudis "have agreed to US demands to pump more oil", and which quoted the official Saudi Press Agency that Saudi Arabia's cabinet on Tuesday "endorsed the kindgdom's readiness to pump more oil to maintain market balance and stability."

"The kingdom is prepared to utilise its spare production capacity when necessary to deal with any future changes in the levels of supply and demand," a cabinet statement said, following a meeting chaired by King Salman.

Yemen President Rejects UN Deal to Take Hodeidah, Raising Fear for Civilians

The fate of the Yemeni aid port of Hodeidah is in many ways the fate of millions of civilians across Northern Yemen, who rely on it as a sole source of food and medicine. The city is under attack by Saudi-led forces, and that is a massive risk.

The UN has tried to prevent this by negotiating a takeover of the port, an idea supported by the Houthi rebels who hold it. The deal, however, appears to have failed, with Saudi-backed President Hadi rejecting any deal to let the UN manage the city as an aid port.

Barring any changes, this leaves the Saudi-led forces continuing an invasion, reliant heavily on airstrikes and drawing increasingly near the ports themselves. This raises the likelihood of the port being severely damaged, and inoperable.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is precisely what the Butcher of Yemen, Saudi Prince Salman, wants to see happen here.

He will most probably order his military to shoot to kill those with the bad luck to be left alive after the port is taken, including infants; children; women; and the medically fragile elderly.

Saudi Arabia’s Misleading Email to Congress After Bombing of MSF Cholera Hospital

The Saudis must have been especially worried this time around. In the hours following the bombing of the MSF facility that Monday, June 11, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis acknowledged that the U.S. military advises the Coalition of “no-fire areas where there are civilians, where there’s mosques, hospitals.” When asked specifically about the cholera hospital, Mattis said emphatically, “We have to find out what happened there.” Mattis told the gaggle of reporters that he “just got off the phone” with Gen. Joseph Votel, the head of U.S. Central Command, and that Votel’s staff was “scrambling” to determine what the Coalition had done. It was another admission on Mattis’ part that, at least this time, the United States would independently assess the Coalition’s actions, a responsibility which the Pentagon has not always acknowledged.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Saudis have deliberately bombed schools and hospitals in Yemen for the last 3 years; this is no different from their usual MO, methodically destroying what, for civilized people, should be sanctuaries of healing and respite.

It's presisely what the Butcher of Yemen, AKA Prince Mohammed bin Salman, wants to see happen.

UN Report: Saudi Coalition Behind Most Yemen Child Casualties

The annual “Children and Armed Conflict” report from the United Nations details the deaths of Yemeni children in the Saudi-led invasion. Unsurprisingly, the overwhelming majority of the slain were killed by the Saudi-led coalition.

The UN report verified 552 children killed in 2017 in Yemen. 67% of those children, 370, were directly attributable to the Saudi coalition, predominantly the result of Saudi airstrikes. Saudi airstrikes killing civilians have been an ongoing problem since the invasion.

The report said 83 children were killed in actions by the Houthi rebels, with another 41 killed by fighters loyal to the Saudi-backed government. The others were killed by that government, international allies, and a handful by al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US government is deeply enmeshed in enabling these Saudi war crimes in Yemen; and as an American who does care, very much, about the future of American foreign policy, I am absolutely outraged at this, and also at the lack of outrage I see in the attitudes of my brother and sister Americans; of course, they can be forgiven, to some degree, for their willful ignorance, but not completely.

After all, when was the last time you saw US military involvement in Yemen covered by the corporate US presstitutes, whose business it is to deflect American awareness from the evil which this country inflicts in so many parts of this planet?!? The short answer is, nearly never.

But I am calling on everyone who doesn't know or understand what is going on here, to take a good hard look at the following compilation of images, and ask themselves: do I really want this being done in my name, and with my tax dollars?!?

Syrian Army Discovers Saudi, Israeli Equipment in Terrorists' Positions in Dara'a Province

The Syrian Army troops continued cleansing operations in the newly-freed regions in Eastern Dara'a and found a field hospital and a large arms depot with equipment supplied by Israel, Saudi Arabia and certain western countries.
The army men carried out mop-up operations in newly-freed Maliha al-Atash region and along a road to Busra al-Harir, discovering a large field hospital that used to be run by the terrorists.

The army soldiers found a large volume of Israeli and Saudi medicines in the field hospital.

In the meantime, the army's engineering units discovered a large volume of western-made ammunition and arms in a depot of terrorists in the town of Maliha al-Atash.

A field source, meanwhile, pointed to the large volume of arms and ammunitions in the depot, and said it was the terrorists' main warehouse for storing military equipment in the towns of Busra al-Harir, al-Harak, Naheta and other regions in Eastern Dara'a.

Can Saudi Arabia Fight its Own Fight? History Shows Heavy Reliance on Mercenaries, Militias and the US

During President Trump’s now infamous visit to Saudi Arabia, Washington and Riyadh signed arms deals amounting to almost $110 billion, a move viewed by some as fueling an arms race in an already dangerous Middle East.

In the past decade, it has become clear that there is a Saudi quest to move from a country engaged in proxy wars to one able to achieve its objectives by engaging directly with its own military. Now, after over three years of a failed Saudi-led assault on Yemen, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has threatened to “bring the battle to the heart of Iran.” Having been supervised and trained by the U.S Department of Defense since 1953, is the Saudi Arabian military capable of achieving this goal, and what exactly comprises Saudi Arabia’s military doctrine?

Riyadh gives huge bribes to foreign firms to shut down Yemeni media: Ansarullah

Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement says Saudi Arabia, which has been leading a deadly war on the impoverished country for the past three years, is giving huge bribes to foreign firms in an attempt to shut down anti-Saudi Yemeni media.

Mohammed Abdul-Salam, the movement’s spokesman, made the remarks in a statement carried by Yemen's Arabic-language al-Masirah satellite television network on Sunday, saying in only one instance Riyadh had given as much as “$30 million to a foreign satellite company to block a Yemeni news channel for just 30 days.”

He added that the so-called military coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, was “sparing no effort” to muffle the true voice of Yemeni people calling out through the country’s satellite television channels and radio stations.

Devastating Humanitarian Crisis: Update on the Situation in Hodeidah, Yemen

Quote from NRC’s Hodeidah Office Coordinator, Saleem Al-Shamiri, in Sana’a:

“Many people fled their homes in Hodeidah already. Sana’a and other cities are receiving many displaced. Water supplies have been cut off in some areas. Even families who refused to leave their house behind, have now been forced to flee because the fighting is closing in. Some of my friends arrived yesterday and today early morning. They are concerned for their future and worried they have lost their homes and income. How will they manage to rebuild their lives again?”

“I have friends who can’t leave their homes because they don’t have the means to travel. They are scared for their safety. They might be left in the crossfire without any water, food or way to escape. I am hoping the warring parties will allow safe routes out of the city as the fighting gets closer. People must be given a chance to save their own lives.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

As a Christian Pacifist Activist, I decry the actions of the US government in enabling Saudi war crimes in Yemen.

But I seriously doubt that the Saudi, or US governments, will allow safe passage for innocent civilians, and this is why.

Do you remember the scene in the film "Avatar", and I am paraphasing here, where the General decides to "create a crater so deep in the memories of the Navi people", that they will never dare to fight against the mining coalition which is destroying their planet,, ever again?

This is precisely what the US and Saudi Government have, essentially, vowed to do in Yemen.

They will create hundreds of killing fields, so that the people of Yemen, will never again fight their rule, and will be "pacified" into accepting whatever puppet government the Saudis and the US slide into Saana.

There will be no "humanitarian aid" with which to comfort those left standing; all we will see here, is a slaughter, courtesy of the genocidal Butcher of Yemen, Saudi Arabia's Prince Salman, aided and abetted by his BFF in the White House, President Trump.

As I type this, UAE military, overseen by American soldiers, are torturing Yemen prisoners, and unfortunately, again this time, our CIA's Gina Haspel is up to her elbows in more torture, and more blood.

US-Backed forces claime to "liberate" Yemenis, but instead rape detainees in secret.

Why are there no indignant outcries from the corporate Presstitute Media on this?!? Why, in the name of God, are there no requests for US reporters, to embed with these "interrogators" from the UAE?!?

Very simply, they are not allowed. No questions are allowed to be asked, in the runup to this slaughter.

But I will tell you, as long as there is breath in my body, I will continue to witness, peacefully, and never advocating violence, as a Christian, to the evils being done in my name, and in the names of all Americans, here in Yemen.

Yemen War: Iranian Navy Dispatches Warships to Gulf of Aden

On June 21, the Iranian Navy dispatched two warships to the Gulf of Aden, where a fierce battle is ongoing between the Ansar Allah movement (also known as the Houthis) and the Saudi-led coalition for the port city of al-Hudaydah.

According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, Iran sent a helicopter-carrier and a naval destroyer. The deployment of Iranian warships in the area will likely further complicate relations between Riyadh and Teheran. However, two warships will not be enough to lift a naval blockade from al-Hudaydah.

Meanwhile, the Houthis repelled another attempt by the Saudi-led coalition and its proxies to capture the al-Hudaydah airport in western Yemen recapturing most of the positions, which they had lost previously.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US government's participation in Saudi war crimes in Yemen does NOT make me proud to be an American; and it is a matter of great concern to me, that President Trump's two BBFs in the Middle East, are Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, the Butcher of Gaza, and the Saudi Crown Prince Salman, the Butcher of Yemen.

US-BACKED FORCES CLAIM TO “LIBERATE” YEMENIS, INSTEAD RAPE DETAINEES IN SECRET PRISONS

The so-called “liberators” in Yemen are sexually and physically torturing detainees at secret prisons. Survivors recall disturbing stories laden with gruesome interrogation tactics for extracting false confessions. Meanwhile, the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen attempts to portray themselves as the bearers of freedom and reason.

As an ally of the United States’ “counter-terrorism” operation in Yemen, the United Arab Emirates established 18 prisons throughout territory under their control. An ongoing investigation from the Associated Press has so far identified instances of deranged sexual torture at five of these facilities. The Emirati headquarters in Yemen houses one of such facilities where witnesses have seen American soldiers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, even with assuring the American people that the CIA will not longer torture, or outsource it, Gina Haspel has lied to the American people, yet again.

Ms. Haspel, understanding what you have done, or allowed to be done by the UAE, is an abomination; a profound disappointment;and an irrefutable demonstration, that you are a traitor to the citizens of this country.

You said anything to get confirmed; you lied. We understand that

And President Trump, you, by your inaction, and not firing Haspel on the spot, now that you understand that this is going on under your watch, as President, is horrific in the extreme.

Army soldiers, allies kill Saudi troopers, mercenaries in western Yemen: Report

Yemeni army soldiers, backed by fighters from allied Popular Committees, have launched a major operation against Saudi troops and pro-Saudi militiamen loyal to resigned Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi in the country’s western coastal province of Hudaydah, killing and injuring tens of them in the process.

An unnamed Yemeni military source told Arabic-language al-Masirah television network that Yemeni troopers and allied fighters launched separate attacks against Saudi soldiers and their mercenaries north of al-Majlis and al-Durayhimi districts on Friday, dealing stinging blows to them.

The source added that at least 11 armored vehicles were destroyed during the offensives as well.

He further stated that the operations were carried out following a series of surveillance and monitoring the movements of Saudi invaders and their agents.

Saudi-Moroccan spat: Competing for the mantle of “moderate Islam”

‘Relief Plan’ Issued By Saudi Arabia Is A Gimmick

The International Rescue Committee dismissed Saudi coalition “relief” plan for Yemen as a public relations gimmick:

The “relief” plan announced by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to protect civilians living in Hodeidah as they attack the port city is a publicity stunt by the Saudi-led coalition (SLC) coalition meant to draw attention away from the undue suffering the attack is causing. The port is absolutely critical to the survival of many innocent Yemenis, and 600,000 civilians living in the port city and surrounding areas are in immediate danger. An attack on or disruption of operations of the port will be catastrophic.

Saudi-backed Yemeni forces capture Hodeidah airport

Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces have captured the airport at Hodeidah and have started preparations for the more complex task of capturing the city and its port nine miles (15km) to the north. The port is critical to the supply of aid to the rest of the famine-struck country.

Confirmation that the airport on the southern outskirts of the city had been seized after three days of fighting came from both TV pictures and eyewitness accounts. At least 40 Houthi fighters who had held the airport were killed, but most retreated into the city, preparing to fight a potentially intense street-by-street campaign that could endanger tens of thousands of civilians.

Saudi-led Coalition Enters Main Airport Compound of Yemen's Hodeidah

Saudi-led coalition forces stormed the airport after fierce battles broke out between coalition forces and Houthi militants who hold the main port city of Hodeidah, a local resident said.

"They have stormed the airport," said one Yemeni military source.

The Saudi-led coalition's aircraft carried out airstrikes, targeting Houthi fighters at the airport in Yemen's main port city of Hodeidah on June 18 in response to a missile targeting the southwestern Saudi city of Jizan.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Expect a Saudi-generated bloodbath here, with utterly no quarter given, and no chance for infants, children, women, or the medically fragile elderly to survive.

And please remember; the US government is complicit in Saudi war crimes in Yemen, done in your name, and with your tax dollars.

And from antiwar.com, datelined yesterday, we have the following story:

UAE demands unconditional rebel pullout from rebel portThe article goes on to state:

"There are also an estimated 250,000 civilians left in Hodeidah. With airstrikes against the city on the rise, officials for the attacking forces say that only withdrawing from the city can “save the population.”

The massacre of citizens in Hodeidah... is coming; these conditions placed on the rebels by the UAE just telegraphed it with these demands.

BATTLE FOR AL-HUDAYDAH CAN BECOME TURNING POINT IN YEMEN WAR

The Saudi-led coalition and its proxies are developing their military operation to capture the western Yemeni port city of al-Hudaydah from the Houthis.

This very advance started on June 13 after a series of failed attempts of the coalition-led forces to reach the city along the western Yemeni coast. Over 25,000 of coalition-backed fighters and at least 1,500 UAE troops, backed by a large number of military equipment, including battle tanks, and the Saudi Air Force and Special Operations Forces are involved in the operation.

According to French daily Le Figaro, troops of the French Special Operations Forces are operating alongside UAE troops.

The goal of the first stage of the operation is to isolate the city from the rest of the Houthi-held area. The coalition has also established a naval blockade of the city. However, it failed to carry out a landing operation in the area on June 13 because the Houthis responded with anti-ship missile strikes.

Saudi Warplanes Strike Airport in Yemen’s Hodeidah

While Saudi and Emirati-led forces managed to take the entrance to the Hodeidah airport in northern Yemen, they’ve so far made little progress in taking heavily fortified buildings inside. This has seen Saudi forces resorting to heavy airstrikes on the area, with locals reporting as many as 20 missile strikes in the area.

Hodeidah is the main port for humanitarian aid entering war-torn Yemen, responsible for feeding 8.4 million people. Saudi-led forces began the invasion of the city last week, but have so far only taken over the outskirts, pounding the city itself with jets and battleships.

In Yemen's Hudaida, 'the sound of warplanes never ceases'

As a Saudi and Emirati-led coalition continues launching air raids in the Yemeni port city of Hudaida, nearly 4,500 families have fled their homes in the front line districts amid rising fears of a humanitarian catastrophe.

Five days into the offensive, residents inside Houthi-held Hudaida pondered an uncertain future as thousands of other civilians were forced to abandon their towns and villages on the city's southern outskirts due to the escalating bombardment.

'As crimes pile up, they become invisible': Western complicity in Saudi Arabia's dirty war in Yemen

The complicity of Western governments in the ocean of suffering being wrought in Yemen exposes them as agents of Saudi brutality.

After three years of relentless conflict, it has been estimated that out of a population of 27.4 million, 22.2 million people in Yemen are in need of humanitarian assistance, 17 million are food insecure, 14.8 million lack basic healthcare, 4.5 million children are suffering malnourishment, while 2.9 million people are internally displaced. As for dead and injured, the toll stands at almost 10,000 and 50,000 respectively.

As a result of the conflict, the country is also facing the "largest documented cholera epidemic of modern times." And this epidemic can only have been intensified by the Saudi bombing of a cholera treatment center in the west of the country, causing the French NGO Médecins Sans Frontières to halt their work at the facility.

War of Aggression: The Saudi & UAE Slaughter in Yemen isn’t a Proxy Conflict with Iran

Alongside their throttlehold over which reporters can visit what parts of Yemen, and thus what story they can tell, Saudi and Emirati investments in public relations, lobbying, think-tanks, and political consultants are shaping the narrative about their war there. Headline writers, pundits, Wikipedia, news correspondents, and even some so-called experts frame the asymmetric conflict as a “proxy war.” Sunnis nations led by Saudi Arabia are battling Shi`a Iran and its regional proxies, the story goes; the world’s worst man-made humanitarian disaster thus appears as un-named collateral damage.

French special forces on the ground in Yemen: Le Figaro

French special forces are present on the ground in Yemen with forces from the United Arab Emirates, French newspaper Le Figaro reported on Saturday, citing two military sources.

The newspaper gave no further information about their activities. The Defence Ministry was not immediately available for comment, but its usual policy is not to comment on special forces’ operations.

A French parliamentary source recently told Reuters French special forces were in Yemen.

Forces from an Arab alliance entered the airport in Yemen’s main port city on Saturday, in the biggest battle of the coalition’s war against the Iran-aligned Houthi movement.

The French Defence Ministry said on Friday that France was studying the possibility of carrying out a mine-sweeping operation to provide access to the port of Hodeidah once the coalition had wrapped up its military operations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How convenient for the Saudis, that France is about to participate in the genocide of the Yemeni people!!

And we have a little companion piece to that, courtesy of antiwar.com:

UAE says that the US government rejected repeated requests to help attack Yemeni port

How true this is, remains to be seen; but it appears that the US government has suddenly understood that the optics of the US military participating in this slaughter of the Yemeni people, is not going particularly well for them, as more and more Americans realize that their country's military has been participating in Saudi war crimes for years.

US senators urge Pentagon to fully disclose its role in Saudi-led war in Yemen

Three US senators have called on the Pentagon to immediately reveal the extent of US military support to the Saudi-led Arab coalition that launched an attack on Hodeidah, a key port city and last humanitarian lifeline in Yemen.
“We call on you to immediately disclose the full extent of the US military role in the Saudi-led war against Yemen’s Houthis, including the use of special operations forces; disclose any role that the Pentagon is currently performing, has been asked to perform, or is considering performing regarding an attack on the port of Hodeida,” says the letter sent to Defense Secretary James Mattis on Friday, and signed by Senators Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont), Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Chris Murphy (D-Connecticut)

Webmaster's Commentary:

This kind of disclosure from Sec Def Mattis... will only happen when pigs discover that they are aerodynamic.

These three Senators need to understand that both the US and UK military industrial complex are making a killing, literally and figuratively, from the arms sales to the Saudi government for its genocide in Yemen, so no public declaration opposing this impending assault will ever happen from either government.

Are they not aware that the UN rejected an immediate cease fire in Yemen yesterday, and that move was orchestrated by the US and UK?!?

UN rejects plan for an Immediate ceasefire in Yemen

Both countries want to see the war move forward, and to see as many Yemeni people as possible murdered, through direct military assault; disease; and malnutrition; after all, do these Senators not understand just how "swell" war is for business?!?

US to Leave ‘Foolish, Unworthy’ UN Human Rights Council Over Anti-Israel Bias

The United States’ demands regarding reforming the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) have failed to be met, and as such Washington is reportedly ready to pull out over what it calls anti-Israel bias and the inclusion of alleged rights abusers.

Diplomats told Reuters that it's merely a matter of time before the US exits the council, which will convene Monday for a three week convention that will last until July 6. One US source who spoke anonymously said that an announcement looks "imminent."

Another US official in Geneva, where the UNHRC will meet June 18, said, "we are still moving ahead with our engagement for the coming session."

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US and UK have lost any credibility at the UN in general, and the Human Rights Council in particular, by preventing the vote on an immediate cease-fire in Yemen.

UN Rehects Plan for an Immediate Cease-fire in Yemen.

Madam Ambassador, you may as well pack it up, and resign; the UN has just proven itself impotent to stop the bloodshed here, and it is primarily because of grandstanding by the US and UK here, that this has happened.

It appears, in this move, that both you and the UK's Ambassador to the UN, Karen Pierce, have both had your consciences surgically removed, so that arms sales to Saudi Arabia by both countries can continue at warp speed, and the Saudi genocide against the Yemenis can continue, unabated.

Oh, and by "human rights abusers", are you talking about the US's new BFF, Saudi Arabia, which is conducting this genocide against the people of Yemen, enabled through US military participation in their war crimes?!?

Ambassador Haley, let's be clear about for whom you are working at the UN; you are not working for the needs and concerns of We the People; you are working for the needs and concerns of the US military/industrial complex, the Saudi government, and its new-found ally, Israel.

There is blood on your, and on the President's hands, because of this; and those with any shred of moral decency still left in them, will not soon forget this.

UN REJECTS PLAN FOR IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE IN YEMEN PORT

A Swedish call at the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire in the Yemen port of Hodeidah was derailed during a closed session Friday. The US and Britain both expressed opposition to the measure, designed to prevent Saudi-led forces attacking a port responsible for feeding 8.4 million civilians.

Britain insisted on the meeting being a closed session, meaning specific comments during the hearing, and the reiteration from UN officials of the humanitarian crisis threatening to kill millions, would not be done for the public to see.

US officials did not publicly comment on why they’re opposed to the ceasefire, but likely is a reflection of the Saudis really wanting to attack the city. British Ambassador Karen Pierce said their opposition was made purely based on “the British national interest.”

It’s not clear exactly how preventing food being delivered to Yemeni civilians is in the British national interest.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Let the assassinations, and deaths from starvation and disease continue!!- Official UN Souse.

By this action, the UN has just proved itself irrelevant, useless, and impotent, against the forces of US and Saudi war and destruction, and has become a sponsor of genocide and war crimes in Yemen. Those member countries of the UN need to just pack it in, declare its uselessness, and go home, now.

The agenda for the US and UK, is to continue to sell their weapons of mass destruction to the Saudis, with which they are blowing up schools, medical centers, as they did with the hit on the cholera center in Yemen, and practicing infanticide, and murder against women, and the medically fragile elderly.

The UN has just given the green light to genocide against the Yemeni people; and to be very frank about it, I, for one, hate to have to be a citizen of a country which enables such genocide and war crimes.

There are countries on this planet which don't stoop to such abominable actions, but unfortunately, Mike and I are too broke, and too old, to immigrate to those countries.

Saudi Arabia Tried to Blame Doctors Without Borders for Bombing Yemen Cholera Treatment Center

Early on June 13, the embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Washington, DC tweeted a photo of a fax from MSF’s administrator of communication and liaison in Djibouti. This document is dated June 11, and the Saudi embassy claimed it showed MSF “clearly admit that the unfortunate facility incident was due to their failure to update their coordinates per standard procedures.”

MSF told me this claim is false. The organization clarified that it gave the Saudi coalition the GPS coordinates for its cholera treatment center at least 12 times in writing, and the coalition “acknowledged receipt of these coordinates in writing at least nine times.”

With Explicit US Backing, Saudi Attack On Yemen’s Humanitarian Lifeline Begins

With a “green light” from the Trump administration and essential military support from the US government, Saudi-led forces plowed ahead with an assault on the Yemeni port city of Hodeida on Wednesday, brushing aside dire warnings from international humanitarian organizations and a small group of American lawmakers that an attack on the key aid harbor could spark a full-blown famine and endanger millions of lives.

A Saudi-led coalition warship was possibly sunk and 250 Houthi fighters were reportedly killed in assault on Yemeni city

The Saudi-led coalition launched a major assault on Yemen's port city of Hodeidah on Wednesday, killing 250 Iranian-backed Houthi fighters, according to UPI.

The coalition's initial assault on Hodeidah, which the UN has warned could end up killing 250,000 civilians and exacerbate the already terrible humanitarian condition, included several airstrikes and also led to the capture of 140 Houthi fighters, UPI reported.

The Houthis at the same time claimed to have hit and sunk a coalition warship with two missiles, according to Jane's 360. The Saudis and the United Arab Emirates — the two major actors in the coalition — have not commented on the claim.

Almasirah Live, a Houthi media outlet, has broadcasted purported footage of the coalition ship on fire:

Saudi-led coalition launches attack on Yemen port despite US warnings

A military coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) launched an offensive Wednesday on a key port in Yemen held by rebels, despite international warnings such an assault could be catastrophic.

In the United States, which has supported the coalition, lawmakers in both parties issued stern warnings ahead of the offensive on Hodeida.

A bipartisan quartet of senators, including Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-Tenn) and ranking member Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), sent a letter to Defense Secretary James Mattis and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on the eve of the offensive expressing "grave alarm."

'CATASTROPHIC' RISK OF DEATH FOR 300,000 YEMENI CHILDREN TRAPPED BY ATTACK

Some 300,000 children risk death, injury and starvation as they are trapped in Yemen's main port city which is under assault from Saudi-led Arab states, aid groups said on Wednesday.

The biggest battle in a three-year war, which has already created the world's biggest humanitarian crisis, centers on Hodeidah, the main route for food and aid to reach most Yemenis, 8.4 million of whom are on the verge of famine.

US to Deepen Military Role in Yemen War, Joining Hodeidah Attack: Officials claim US involvement will reduce civilian deaths

After a handful of statements last week suggesting the US was opposing the planned attack on the vital Yemeni aid port of Hodeidah, officials are now indicating that the US has reversed again, and will actually be participating in the attack.

Pentagon officials say they intend to provide growing amounts of military intelligence, including target lists, for the Saudi-led invasion force in Yemen. They argue that this is going to ultimately reduce the civilian death toll of the attack on the port.

Yet US targeting aid in the past has done little to keep the Saudi strikes on Yemen from regularly killing large numbers of civilians. Even beyond this, the fall of Hodeidah threatens to spark a famine that would kill hundreds of thousands if not millions of others.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This uptick in US military involvement in Yemen is not for reducing, or minimizing civilian casualties; it is about making those civilian casualty numbers so staggeringly large, and the resultant carnage from disease, coupled with further starvation, so intense, to paraphrase the general in the movie "Avatar", that it will burn a hole in their collective memories so deep, that the Houthis will never, ever even think about rebelling against their soon to be Saudi masters, ever again.

With active US military support on the ground, the Saudi Military are now in their final throes of their genocide against the Yemeni people, and the carnage will be horrifically intense for just the reasons I have outlined above.

When the hell did the US government and military become "War Crimes R Us"?!?!? This is an awful betrayal of the trust of the American people, and reminds us, at this time as a country, that we are absolutely on the wrong side of history here, and geopolitcally, there are always consequences down the road for these kinds of actions.

Battle for Hodeidah: Biggest assault of Yemen’s three-year-war begins, putting millions at risk

The Arab coalition battling Houthi rebels in Yemen has begun an anticipated assault on the port city of Hodeidah, an offensive which diplomatic and humanitarian sources warn could put millions of people in danger.

Residents in the city of 600,000 people said that shelling of Iran-backed Houthi positions in the southern suburbs of Seham and Qazabah began around dawn on Wednesday, and Saudi and UAE ships are now positioned just south of the city. Around 2,000 Emirati and Yemeni government-allied troops are also approaching from the west, in what appears to be a pincer movement attack.

Saudi-owned news channels and later state media citing military sources announced the battle had begun shortly after daybreak, a development later acknowledged by Houthi-run Al Masirah news.

US-Backed Coalition Bombs Yemen’s New Cholera Treatment Center, After Unleashing World’s Largest Outbreak

A military coalition formally led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and supported by the United States and Britain, bombed a newly constructed cholera treatment in Yemen on Monday, June 11.

This attack comes after Yemen, the poorest country in the Middle East, suffered through the worst cholera outbreak in recorded history, with more than 1 million cases reported in 2017 alone.

The cholera treatment center was operated by the humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders (known in French as Médecins Sans Frontières, or MSF). It was located in Yemen’s northwestern Hajjah Governorate, an area that has been heavily bombarded by Saudi Arabia for more than 3 years.

MSF said in a statement that the cholera treatment center had markings on the roof that clearly identified it as a healthcare facility. It added that the center has been destroyed and is now completely non-functional.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Doesn't this just make you feel prouder than heck to be an American right now, with this bombing of a cholera treatment center in Yemen, in which the US military has participated?!? Remember; these bombings are done in your names, and with your tax dollars.

They Want to Cut the Main Vein of Yemen. US Supported Naval Blockade, Widespread Famine

The Saudi-led coalition is desperate to be able to occupy Hodiedah province, where the main port of Yemen is located, from which all the essentials of life enter Yemen. The blockade has been in force for more than three years, for weakening the Yemeni front.

Presently, 90 percent of food and medicines come to Yemen via Hodiedah, making the port vital lifeline to Sana’a with some other ports under control of occupying forces. Since Saudi Arabia waged a war against Yemen on 27 March 2017, Saudis have take actions to wrest the major port from Ansar Allah forces. Air raids on the area’s infrastructure and Ansarullah positions is common during the three years of war.

UN, Red Cross Evacuate Staff From Yemen Port City Ahead Of "Imminent" US-Saudi Coalition Assault

The New York Times reports that the United Nations is pulling its staff from the besieged Yemeni port city of Al Hudaydah as a massive assault on the country's only major humanitarian lifeline appears imminent.

UN staff have played a key role in delivering foreign aid through what is now one of the besieged country's only humanitarian access points to the outside world, through which 80% of all humanitarian aid flows.

The NYT details that the UN evacuation comes after "member countries were told that an attack by forces led by the United Arab Emirates was imminent, according to two diplomats briefed on the matter."

Webmaster's Commentary:

This attack will mean the nail in the coffin for Houthi resistance in Yemen; let the US-enabled, Saudi slaughter of innocent Yemeni people continue!!

Forgive my sarcasm here, but I wish that both Mike and I were young enough, and prosperous enough, to imigrate to a country which does not commit, or enable, war crimes; unfortunately, that is not going to happen for us.

We cannot morally accept, or support, the war crimes done by this country around the world, and are ashamed of a government which is no longer responding to the needs and concerns of We the People; truth be told, we are rapidly approaching a time for this country, where the center cannot hold.

And we have a companion piece on this, datelined yesterday, from moonoveralabama.com:

US Grants Approval for Genocide

The article goes on to state: "The genocide in Yemen is going to start tomorrow. Eight million are already on the brink of starvation. Eighteen out of twenty-six million Yemenis live in the mountainous heartlands (green) which are under control of the Houthi and their allies. Saudi's potential attack on Yemen's port of Hudaydah may kill 250,000,UN says

The United Nations humanitarian coordinator in Yemen has warned that a military assault on the vital Yemeni port city of Hudaydah by the Saudi regime and its coalition partners may kill 250,000 people.

“A military attack or siege on Hudaydah will impact hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians,” said Lise Grande in a statement released on Friday, pointing to Saudi Arabia’s long-standing threat to launch an attack on Yemen’s only entry gate for much needed basic supplies and humanitarian aid.

“In a prolonged worst case, we fear that as many as 250,000 people may lose everything, even their lives,” added the UN official.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Given the already horrific state of affairs in Yemen, courtesy of the US-government enabled Saudi invasion and occupation, I believe that Ms. Grande may be understating the numbers very intensely.

SYRACUSE NATIONAL SECURITY PROGRAM DIRECTOR REGISTERS AS A SAUDI FOREIGN AGENT

The director of a national security program at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs has registered with the U.S. Department of Justice as an agent of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 28Pages.org is first to report.

In his registration statement, retired U.S. Army Colonel Bill Smullen, former chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell, indicated he has agreed to provide “public relations support” to the Saudi embassy for compensation initially projected at $8,000.

Smullen’s National Security Studies program at Syracuse is billed as “a premier professional development program that offers executive education courses for senior civilian and military leaders who are responsible for the national security interests of their respective organizations.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Oh, trust me, Smullen and Keppler are going to have their work cut out for them.

Considering that Saudi Arabia is running a military genocide against the Yemeni people, and committing war crimes; considering that Saudi Arabia is a non-Constitutional monarchy, where people can have limbs amputated, and be flogged for various offenses; considering that women are considered a sub-class of human beings, and inferior to the men who literally "own" them; where female genital mutilation is still allowed, and considered "reasonable"; that there is zero freedom of religion, and one can get assassinated for being anything other than Wahabi Muslim in terms of faith, yes, these people are going to be very busy boys!!

Israel Is Helping Saudi Arabia Develop Nuclear Weapons

Israel has been a nuclear power for decades, though its nuclear arsenal is undeclared and the country has refused to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Estimates of its arsenal vary, with most suggesting that Israel possesses from 100 to 200 nuclear weapons. Israel was aided in the development of its nuclear program by Western powers, particularly France. Much of the Western “help” Israel received, however, was the result of covert thefts of nuclear material from countries such as the United States and Belgium.

While Dor-On, speaking to news outlet Arabi21, did not elaborate on the details of the information being exchanged, he stated that the sharing of this information was likely to be just the beginning of Israeli involvement in a future Saudi nuclear weapons program, which would likely see Israel “take the initiative to develop Saudi Arabia’s effort to acquire nuclear weapons” as a result of “the growing Saudi-Israeli relations.”

Israel selling nuclear information and expertise to Saudi Arabia

"Western security agencies believe that Israel is selling nuclear information to Saudi Arabia, Arabi21 has reported. According to Israeli writer Ami Dor-on, such information will give the government in Riyadh nuclear weapons capabilities. Writing on the News One website, Dor-on said that the joint intention is to make sure that Iran will not be the only country in the region that possesses such weapons which threaten the security and safety of the Kingdom."

Houthis in Talks to Cede Yemen Aid Port to UN

As Saudi-backed Yemeni forces continue to approach the key port city of Hodeidah, the lone source of food for millions of people in the rebel-held north, there are reportedly talks ongoing at the UN about avoiding the attack.

Martin Griffiths, the UN mediator for Yemen, says that there are talks ongoing with the rebel Houthis to place the port city directly under UN supervision. This would take the city off the battlefield, but leave it available to be used to import food and medical aid.

Since the Houthis are losing ground around the city, this may be their best bet for avoiding the mass starvation that would result from Hodeidah falling outright to the pro-Saudi forces. Other ports are only used to bring in supplies to the government-held south.

Webmaster's Commentary:

this wiould be a terrific thought; but unfortunately, the UN Security Council, which is bought and paid for by the US government, will never allow this to happen.

Once the port is overtaken, expect to see much more starvation, and death by disease in Yemen, because these war crimes are part and parcel of the US/ Saudi "Master Plan" for the country, when it ultimately gets completely overtaken by US/Saudi forces.

The introduction of starvation and disease, is one of the oldest tactics in the book, through which foreign governments wield their power against conquered nations.

Saudi King Threatens Military Action If Qatar Installs Russian Air Defense System

Saudi King Salman has threatened to take military action against neighboring Qatar if the nation follows through with a plan to install an anti-aircraft defense system.

Salman said he would take military action to “eliminate this defense system.”

Saudi Arabia and many of its allies severed ties with Qatar last year, based around a false media report claiming the Qatari Emir wasn’t sufficiently hostile toward Iran. The Saudis have since suggested they’d channel out the entire Qatari border, turning it into an island, and dumping nuclear waste in the area.

Around this ever growing Saudi hostility toward Qatar, the nation made a deal to buy S-400 air defense systems from Russia. Russia says that plans to deliver the missiles have not changed, despite the Saudi threats.

Saudi government gave Obama aides ‘suitcases full of jewels’, says ex-official

Saudi Arabia gave White House aides jewellery worth hundreds of thousands of dollars in large suitcases, according to Ben Rhodes, former speechwriter and deputy national security adviser in the Obama administration.

In his memoir The World As It Is, published on Tuesday, Rhodes recounts a trip to Saudi Arabia in June 2009 soon after Barack Obama became president.

He says on arrival he and other US officials were taken to housing units in a compound owned by the monarchy in the desert.

“When I opened the door to my unit, I found a large suitcase,” Rhodes recounts. “Inside were jewels.”

ISRAEL IS NOW HELPING SAUDI ARABIA DEVELOP NUCLEAR WEAPONS

The Israeli government has begun selling the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia information on how to develop nuclear weapons, according to a senior official at the Israeli military organization iHLS (Israel’s Homeland Security). Ami Dor-on, a senior nuclear commentator at the organization — which is partially funded by U.S. weapons-giant Raytheon – came forward because of his concern over the emerging nuclear arms race in the region. The cooperation between the two countries in helping the Saudis to develop a nuclear weapons program is just the latest sign of their warming relationship, with Israel recently calling the Saudi crown prince “a partner of Israel.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Great, just what the world needs; another nuclear power in the Middle East, with a twitchy trigger finger, particularly as it continues to confront Iran, both economically, and ultimately militarily.

Here's The Viral Interview Of Exiled Saudi Prince Calling For Regime Change In Riyadh

A videotaped interview of an exiled Saudi prince living in Europe who is calling for regime change in his home country went viral this week. Prince Khaled bin Farhan was exiled from Saudi Arabia and given given political asylum in Germany in 2013, where he's not infrequently given interviews exposing the inner workings of the royal family, though he himself is distant in the line of succession.

While we don't expect the West to ever give close US-ally Saudi Arabia the Syria treatment of setting up a government in exile or establishing a "Free Saudi Army" to topple Riyadh, the fascinating interview given this week by the dissident prince included a brazen call for his uncles to take action to depose King Salman and the crown prince and take over the country.

IRAN LISTS 7 CONDITIONS TO REMAIN IN NUCLEAR DEAL

In his first statement since Pompeo's Wednesday speech, Iran's Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei set 7 conditions for the European nations if they want Tehran to remain in the agreement.

Khamenei laid out the full list on Twitter on Trump's favorite social media network, remainder of continued on twitter where in a brief tweetstorm, he unveiled the following demands of Europe:

Over the course of 2 years, US violated #JCPOA, several times, while the Europeans remained silent. These 3 European countries should prove that they won’t be as dishonest & untrustworthy as they were during nuclear talks in 2004-2005. Europe needs to compensate for it:
The US has violated Resolution 2231. Europe must issue a resolution against US’s violation [of it].
Europe must guarantee it will not raise the issue of the Islamic Republic's missiles and regional affairs.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation; Europe will not be allowed to acceed to Iran's demands by the US government, meaning that the Iranians will shortly go back to uranium enrichment, which will then be used as the "justification" for a war against it by the US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.

But this will not happen until Israel uncorks in Lebanon against Hezbullah, and accomplishes "regime change" there, to achieve a more "Israeli-centric" government in Beirut.

So we have, maybe, a couple of months or more, before that happens, and then, the major world war against Iran happens. Look at the attack against Lebanon to come either right before, or right after, the High Holy days in Israel, Rosh Hashana, and Yom Kippur, which are celebrated in September of this year.

June 1st is already upon us week; So watch for 3 months of intense demonisation of Lebanon; Iran, and Russia in the next three months, leading up to an Israeli first strike on Lebanon.

But the big issue in all of this, with Russia having historically claimed that it will defend Iran should it be attacked militarily, is, when Iran is attacked, what will Russia's Putin actually be willing to do to defend it?!?

And lastly, here is a link to Ynetnews.com, with an article which is more than a little unsettling:

US approves $45mn sale of 3,200 bombs & bunker busters to Bahrain

The US has cleared the sale of 3,200 bombs valued at about $45 million, including powerful bunker busters, to Bahrain. The Persian Gulf monarchy is hosting the US 5th Fleet and has been involved in the Saudi-led bombing of Yemen.
The order would consist of 1,500 Mark-82 general purpose bombs; 600 Mark-83 bombs; 600 Mark-84 bombs; and 500 BLU-109 “bunker busters,” bombs armed with special warheads designed to penetrate hardened targets, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency announced on Friday.

The ordnance is intended for Bahrain’s US-made F-16 combat jets, and would come directly from US government stocks. Bahrain “will use these munitions as a deterrent to regional threats, strengthen its homeland defense, and execute counter-terrorism operations,” the agency said, as well as “operate with US-led and US-supported coalition operations.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am having a double Picard face-palm, at warp speed, upon reading this article.

These bombs will be most likely used both against peaceful Shiite protestors in Bahrain, who are simply asking for a constitutional monarchy, and against the Yemeni people, like the young Yemeni child in the image below, holding on desperately to his dead father, and refusing to let him go.(warning: very graphic)

The Boy who should be the face of the horrors of the Saudi-led, Bahraini and US-enabled war in Yemen, courtesy of Ruptly

Doesn't this just make you SO proud to be... a WarMerican?!?

The RT article, by Alexandre Antonov, goes on to state:

"Photos and footage were taken after the bombing, which happened in a remote village in the northwestern province of Hajjah. Appearing to be aged seven or eight, the boy tightly grasps the body of a man, grabbing his shirt and repeating “no, no, no” as rescuers try to take him away. People on the ground told Ruptly the boy insisted his killed father was just sleeping, and would soon wake up and take him to their home village not far from the one that was bombed.

Here is a little prediction. This boy will not feature at prime time in the mainstream media, regardless of how heart-wrenching are his little figure and fruitless defiance. No well-paid anchor with perfect make-up will say in a tearful voice how she cannot look at him. No correspondent will confront the Saudi foreign minister, showing him the pictures, saying: “This is a war crime, sir.” At the UN Security Council, his tragedy will not be used to denounce a criminal regime, killing civilians with impunity."

It is for this reason, that I am asking all of our friends in the independent media who have blogs both nationally and internationally, to credit both the story, written by Mr. Antonov of RT, and this image, by Ruptly, copy this story, and this image, and bump it to the top of their websites; America is colluding in these horrific war crimes in Yemen with both Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain, and it is high time that a very peaceful, and very public public conversation about this, happens in this country.

And to both Mr. Antonov and Ruptly, thank you for pulling the curtain back and revealing the horrendous consequences of this Saudi-generated, and US and Bahraini-enabled war against the Yemeni people.

S. Arabia Starts New Wave of Arrests over Ties with Israel

In mid-November last year, a Lebanese paper published a secret document that showed that the Saudis were willing to normalize relations with Israel as part of a US-led Israeli-Palestinian peace effort and unite Saudi-allied countries against Iran.

The document, published by al-Akhbar daily, was a letter from the Saudi foreign minister to bin Salman, explaining why it was in the kingdom’s interest to normalize relations with Israel. The letter said a rapprochement between Saudi Arabia and Israel has risks for the kingdom due to the strength of the Palestinian cause among Muslims.

The Saudis' willingness to boost ties with Israel has offended several Arab countries, including Jordan.

Fighting Displaces Tens of Thousands of Yemenis Near Key Houthi Port

Tens of thousands of civilians have been displaced from Yemen’s coastal province of Hodeidah, as pro-Saudi forces invaded the area with an eye toward eventually seizing the last port held by Shi’ite Houthi forces.

The civilians say they were facing terrifying mortar attacks, with rockets flying overhead and landmines ripping people to shreds. Amnesty International is reporting that the worst is yet to come, however, for the entire nation, as this offensive worsens.

That’s because as the last Houthi port, Hodeidah is the lone source of humanitarian aid for roughly half of the country. That makes it a “strategic target,” but the fall of the port also means that half of the country, the half already on the brink of starvation and recovering from a record large cholera epidemic, will be under even tighter siege.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The continuing Saudi genocide in Yemen, aided and abetted by US military forces, has to be one of the worst "silent screams" of the 21st century.

And I say this, because not one of the presstitute corporate US media is covering any of this; you have to go to the independent media, like WRH, to get any word of what is happening on the ground. Because of this, as a Christian Pacifist Activist, I will continue to cover this horror just as long as it continues. And here are some images (very disturbing) of what is being done, and enabled by US troops, in collusion with Saudi troops, in your name, and with your tax dollars, in Yemen:

Because people, if we are not part of a peaceful public dialogue to at least get the US government to withdraw its military and financial aid to this slaughter, we are part of the problem.

Please share these images with your Congressional Representatives, and ask them what they intend to to to stop this genocide. Be polite, but firm. Because if they know that the issue of US war crimes in Yemen is going to be an election-preventer in the coming mid-term elections, it just might cause them to speak up, speak out and at least end the US government's involvement in Yemen.

Iranian Media Speculates About Possible Death of Saudi Crown Prince

The apparent disappearance of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman from the public eye has led several Iranian media outlets to wonder if one of the most powerful men in the kingdom might’ve been killed during an attempted coup last month.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was allegedly hit by two bullets during the April 21 attack on the royal palace in Riyadh and may actually be dead as he has not appeared in public since the incident, Kayhan newspaper reports citing "a secret service report sent to the senior officials of an unnamed Arab state."

As Press TV points out, no new photo or video of bin Salman has been released by Saudi authorities since that day, and the prince "was not even seen on camera when new US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made his maiden visit to Riyadh in late April."

Pro-Saudi Forces Announce Start of Offensive Against Last Yemeni Rebel Port

Pro-Saudi forces have announced Monday that the “large-scale military operations” against the northern port city of Hodeidah have begun, and that forces intend to continue advancing north until “victory” is achieved.

Hodeidah is the lone seaport under the control of the Shi’ite Houthi movement, and by extension is the only port through which humanitarian aid can flow for the entire northern half of the country. A vital humanitarian location, which to pro-Saudi forces is a vital military target.

Successfully conquering Hodeidah would, after all, mean the Houthi territory, including the capital city and many millions of people, would have no access to food or medical aid. This would be an opportunity for the Saudi invading force to really crack down on them.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is apparent that the B.O.Y. (the Butcher of Yemen, AKA Saudi Prince Bin Salman) and his accomplice in these war crimes, President Trump, do not give a damn about the staggering number of people this military operation will kill, through starvation and disease, now that food and medical aid will stop arriving in Yemen.

And where are the US corporate presstitutes on this?!?

No where at all. This is simply not to be spoken of, in any way whatsoever, lest the American peole actually get the notion that their government is routinely complicit in war crimes, this association with the Saudis in Yemen being one of the worst in recent history.

Disaster Looms in North Yemen as Pro-Saudi Forces near Hodeidah

The Saudi-backed Yemeni army took control of the town of al-Bareh, west of Taiz, earlier this week. The fall of this town is less important than what comes next, as the army draws ever closer to the key port city of Hodeidah.

They envision it forcing a surrender, but it may also could bring millions of malnourished people into outright starvation.

U.S. MOVES FORWARD WITH MULTIBILLION-DOLLAR “SMART BOMB” SALE TO SAUDI ARABIA AND UAE DESPITE CIVILIAN DEATHS IN YEMEN

Last month, warplanes belonging to the Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen repeatedly bombed a wedding party in the northern part of the country, killing more than 20 people, including the bride, and injuring dozens of others. In the days that followed, local media published a photograph of a bomb fragment with a serial number tying it to the U.S.-based weapons manufacturer Raytheon.
Now the State Department is taking preliminary steps toward a massive, multibillion-dollar sale of similar weapons to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, three congressional aides, a State Department official, and two other people familiar with the sales told The Intercept.

The State Department has yet to announce the exact details and dollar value of the package, but it is said to include tens of thousands of precision-guided munitions from Raytheon, the same company that was involved in producing the weapons used in last month’s strike.

Webmaster's Commentary:

PLEASE, LORD, NO!!!

It feels like the entire American public has been at a "slow frog boil", a situation where the frog doesn't know it is in danger of dying, until it is too late; so it is with the normalization of weapons sales to absolute despots, to create a genocide which the B.O.Y. ( the Butcher of Yemen, AKA the Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman) is doing in Yemen.

I have rarely felt more completely out of control of my government than I do right now, as our alleged government continues to hurtle, at breakneck speed, toward more wars in the Middle East, most probably culminating in a war against Iran, which probably means a war against Russia.
