Obama’s DEA Appointment Looks To Confront Drug War With Anti-Terror Tactics

This week, President Obama appointed a replacement for disgraced former DEA Administrator Michelle Leonhart. Chuck Rosenberg is a former U.S. District Attorney and former general counsel for two FBI directors, as well as a former attorney general. He is highly regarded among his government colleagues, but a deeper examination of his record reveals troubling implications for the DEA’s future.

Before delving into Rosenberg’s personal positions, it is worth noting the figures he has worked under. Rosenberg served as general and/or senior counsel to former FBI Director, Robert Mueller, former Attorney General, John Ashcroft, and current FBI Director, James Comey. He also worked for Comey when they were district attorneys for the federal government. All three of these men have employed policies and surveillance that grossly violate civil liberties and the privacy of citizens.

Senate Intelligence Chair to Constituents: I Don't Care What You Think

The House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed HR 2048, the USA Freedom Act last week. The bill is an attempt by lawmakers to rein in the NSA and fix the infamous "business records program," which uses Section 215 of the Patriot Act to order telephone companies to hand over Americans' daily calling records. When asked if the Senate would take up the bill, Senate Intelligence Chair Richard Burr said, "The program as designed is effective, and members are reluctant to change things that are effective just because of public opinion."

Senator Reads the TPP and Exposes Its Contents; Other Elected Officials Should Do the Same

Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) is one of the few members of Congress who has taken the time to jump through the hoops and read the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). But, he has gone a step farther than other members - he told members of Congress what he read. He told the truth about what the TPP says and why Congress should oppose it in a five page letter to his colleagues.

Death Penalty for Boston Marathon Suspect Drives Nail in the Coffin of US Justice System

With the jury’s verdict now in sentencing an innocent man to death, the US justice system is sinking ever lower in its moral decay. So many giant holes in the prosecution’s case were simply ignored. Photos of the shredded backpacks allegedly containing the bombs never matched the backpacks of the Tsarnaev brothers. But the fact that they did match a number of Kraft International private security contractors photographed at the scene meant nothing. When evidence of a staged “realistic” enacted event complete with role actors and stagehand direction, fake bombs and fake blood, pre-marathon announcements of a “bomb drill” confirmed by a public notice in the Boston Globe, and no real evidence that either Tsarnaev brother committed a crime as much as admitted by the feds, there is absolutely no justice left in America today!

Shoppers could soon have difficulty finding meat's origin

Shoppers could soon have a harder time finding out where their red meat comes from.

The World Trade Organization ruled Monday that the U.S. "country of origin" labels put Canadian and Mexican livestock at a disadvantage. The current labels say where the animals were born, raised and slaughtered.

The Obama administration has already revised the labels once to try to comply with previous WTO rulings in favor of Canada and Mexico. Since those efforts didn't work, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack says Congress will have to weigh in to avoid retaliation — such as extra tariffs — from the two neighbor countries.

US Blinks in Face-Off with Russia

After staring Russia in the face for the best part of a year, the poker-faced Americans finally realized they are holding a bunch of worthless cards. And the Americans blinked.

Last week started with US Secretary of State John Kerry coming to Russia to lay a wreath for the millions of Soviet soldiers who gave their lives in the historic defeat of Nazi Germany. Then the week ended with Kerry’s deputy at the State Department, Victoria Nuland, flying to Moscow to meet Russian officials to discuss implementation of the Minsk ceasefire in Ukraine.

That’s what you might call «America blinking first» in its high-stakes and reckless face-off with Russia over the Ukraine crisis.

Israeli Defense Forces Major General Laughs: "We Israelis, we are sure that we're the center of the world; it's natural that candidates are coming to Israel. And we like it."

In a recent corporate news article about Scott Walker's trip to Israel, several Israel leaders gave some very revealing quotes regarding the upcoming U.S. presidential elections. An Israeli professor said that Obama and Democrats are seen as "isolationists" by Israelis. An Israeli settler leader was quoted as saying "people on the right in Israel feel favorable toward Rubio and, to a certain extent, Bush." He added "We definitely can live with a Clinton administration."
A major general in the IDF Who toured Israel with Walker was quoted as laughing: "We Israelis, we are sure that we're the center of the world... From our point of view, it's natural that candidates are coming to Israel. And we like it because we think it's very important for us and in a way we think that Israel is a strategic asset."

The Emperor Beckons Us to the Graveyard

Those very few words of Obama’s, his most widely circulated PR effort to garner support for the TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership) and thoroughly representative of the thinking of our imperial elite, are so revealing, so wrong and so dangerous on so many levels that one scarcely knows where to begin. In fact they carry the seeds of our destruction. And they are focused on China.

Corporate Trade Agenda Attacks Americans’ Right to Know

Today, the World Trade Organization (WTO) ruled that mandatory country of origin labels (COOL) rules for meat and poultry that went into effect in the United States in 2013 are not compliant with global trade standards. The WTO continued to find that the goal of providing information to consumers was compliant with international trade rules, but it decided narrowly that the implementation of the rules for COOL labels negatively impacted livestock imports from Canada and Mexico.

Belligerent US Refuses To Cede Control Over IMF In Snub To China

So while the AIIB certainly represents an attempt on China’s part to realize its regional ambitions (what we’ve described as the establishment of a Sino-Monroe Doctrine) and carve out a foothold for the yuan on the global stage, it’s also a product of Washington’s failure to adapt to a changing world. That is, the establishment of new supranational lenders suggests the US-dominated multilateral institutions that have characterized the post-war world are proving unable (for whatever reason) to meet the needs of modernity.

Nowhere is this more apparent than the IMF, where reforms aimed at making the Fund more reflective of its membership have been stymied by Congressional ineptitude for years.

Hillary Clinton personally took money from companies that sought to influence her

Almost a decade ago, as Hillary Clinton ran for reelection to the Senate on her way to seeking the presidency for the first time, the New York Times reported on her unusually close relationship with Corning, Inc., an upstate glass titan. Clinton advanced the company's interests, racking up a big assist by getting China to ease a trade barrier. And the firm's mostly Republican executives opened up their wallets for her campaign.

During Clinton's tenure as secretary of state, Corning lobbied the department on a variety of trade issues, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The company has donated between $100,000 and $250,000 to her family's foundation. And last July, when it was clear that Clinton would again seek the presidency in 2016, Corning coughed up a $225,500 honorarium for Clinton to speak.

The dire ObamaCare threat to New York’s hospitals

The bottom line of Stringer’s report: Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, aka ObamaCare, Uncle Sam will cut more than $800 million in payments to the city’s Health and Hospitals Corp, by Fiscal Year 2019.

The president’s signature law slashes federal payments that long helped out hospitals serving lots of patients who lack insurance. The idea was that the law would boost coverage so dramatically the aid would be unnecessary.

Except that illegal immigrants don’t qualify for ObamaCare coverage — and they make up a big chunk of the city’s uninsured population.

In his book The Black Jacobins, a history of the Haitian revolution against France, C.L.R. The world of Globalism, the galaxy of slavery

By Jon Rappoport

I’ve been chipping away and drilling the rock of Globalism for some years now. At times, connections between my various investigations seemed uncertain, but eventually the picture swam into view.

Medically caused death and destruction. Toxic drugs. Toxic vaccines. Genetically modified food plants and their poisonous pesticides. International trade treaties. Manufactured unemployment. The pseudoscience of psychiatry. Political and media dupes. The art of group propaganda. Indoctrination and lowered IQ through education. Television mind control. Banking. Wall Street. Technocracy. And dozens more subjects.

The carrier of the Globalist world was chosen at the end of World War 2. It already existed, of course. But now it was seen as the prime instrument: The mega-corporation...

OUTSIDE THE BOX VIDEO SERIES: THE POWER OF NIGHTMARES

Written and produced by Adam Curtis, The Power of Nightmares—The Rise of the Politics of Fear explores the similarities between the ascent of the American Neo-Conservative movement and the trajectory of radical, fundamentalist Islamism in three one-hour films. More controversial, perhaps, than even this comparison, is the argument that the threat of radical Islamism—al-Qaeda in particular—has been exploited by politicians around the world, especially American neocons, in order to advance their own agenda.

MILITARY RECRUITING INCREASINGLY AIMED AT CHILDREN

Once it was tobacco companies targeting minors with cartoon characters. Now the U.S. military is similarly going after those too young to enlist, but old enough to begin forming impressions about whether they’d like to sign up for a tour of duty. A study (pdf) by Joseph A. Rosendale and Mary Beth Leidman of Indiana University of Pennsylvania shows that military recruiters are adept at using social media, such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, to hone in on possible recruits.

David Cameron’s former chief strategist has launched a stinging attack on the ‘insular ruling class’ threatening Britain’s democracy.

Steve Hilton said too many of those at the heart of government go to the same dinner parties and send their children to the same schools.

He said the UK’s political system is now in ‘crisis’ because the same type of people stay in charge whatever the outcome of the elections.

In what will be seen as a criticism of the ‘chumocracy’ of his former boss, Mr Hilton warned: ‘Our democracies are increasingly captured by a ruling class that seeks to perpetuate its privileges.

Evidence for Informed Trading on the Attacks of September 11

Just after September 11th 2001, many governments began investigations into possible insider trading related to the terrorist attacks of that day. Such investigations were initiated by the governments of Belgium, Cyprus, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Monte Carlo, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United States, and others. Although the investigators were clearly concerned about insider trading, and considerable evidence did exist, none of the investigations resulted in a single indictment. That’s because the people identified as having been involved in the suspicious trades were seen as unlikely to have been associated with those alleged to have committed the 9/11 crimes.

AE911Truth - "Overwhelming Majority of AIA Delegates Make the Political Decision and Vote Down Resolution 15-6"

“We are a professional – not a political – organization. But in this case, if we vote “no” on this resolution, we are making a political decision, not a professional one. Thank you very much.” – Daniel Barnum, FAIA

Those were the closing remarks from the lead sponsor of AIA Resolution 15-6, Daniel Barnum, FAIA. Seconds later, the AIA delegates cast their votes. The unfortunate outcome was that an overwhelming majority made the political decision. Resolution 15-6, which called upon the AIA to support a new WTC 7 investigation, was voted down 3,892 to 160, garnering 4% of the delegates’ votes. . .

. . . However, that does not signal to us that we should give up on reaching out to the AIA membership. We are pleased to have gained the signatures of another 150 AIA members, seven of whom are fellows of the Institute. We will continue and intensify our outreach efforts with ever more creative and incisive strategies.
