‘It’s us or them,’ Netanyahu’s party says of Palestinians and Africans in race-baiting ads

“It’s us or them”, says a new election poster by Likud, suggesting that Jaffa can be either a “Hebrew city” or one taken over by the “Islamist movement”. “Only the Likud – the right of Tel-Aviv-Jaffa” it says at the bottom. There is a second version of the ad where “they” are African refugees, labelled as “infiltrators”, as Israelis from both right and left of the political spectrum like to call them (photo in Facebook post by David Sheen).

This is a municipal election racial bating campaign. Municipal elections in Israel, which take place every five years, are set for the end of the month.

In Gaza, hospitals run short on fuel while Israel tightens requirements for medical transfers

Hanan al-Khoudari resorted to Facebook in a cry for help when Israeli authorities rejected her request to accompany her three-year-old son, Louay, suffering from aggressive soft tissue sarcoma, to his chemotherapy treatment in East Jerusalem. Israeli authorities then justified their decision based on a vague claim that one of Hannan’s relatives is a “Hamas operative.” Even if an explanation is offered, denying gravely ill Palestinians from receiving life-saving treatment remains an immoral and illegal act.

Netanyahu questioned over corruption for 12th time

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is today being questioned for the 12th time over two cases of corruption.

Today’s questioning is related to two cases dubbed Case 1000 and Case 2000 respectively. In Case 1000, Netanyahu stands accused of accepting lavish gifts from two influential businessmen in return for favourable legislation and personal favours. In Case 2000, Netanyahu is being investigated for promising Arnon Mozes – the owner of Israeli newspaper Yedioth Aronoth – that he would curtail the circulation of Israel Hayom, Mozes’ main competitor publication, in return for favourable coverage of him and his policies.

Early this morning, investigators from the Israeli police’s Lahav 433 – an anti-fraud unit similar to the US’ FBI – arrived at Netanyahu’s official residence in Jerusalem. Numerous protesters gathered outside the residence with a banner bearing Netanyahu’s face and the words “crime minister”, Ynet reported.

Israel Launches Internet “Command Center” to Monitor Social Media

Many social media users have no doubt noticed a massive, coordinated censorship campaign in recent months. Gaza “laboratory” boosts profits of Israel’s war industry

Gaza functions as a live testing area for Israeli weapons manufacturers

After exploring the vast surveillance regime along the US-Mexico border and finding Israeli systems installed at every turn, the author Todd Miller and I were drawn to investigate Israel as the largest homeland security industry in the world. Israel’s arms industry is twice the size of its US counterpart in exports per capita and employs a percentage of the national workforce double that of the US or France, two of the top global arms exporters.

During our 2016 trip, it didn’t take us long to zero in on some of Israel’s most enterprising industrialists who told us how they do it while controlling an area roughly the size of New Jersey.

U.S. terminates 1955 Treaty of Amity with Iran:

Secretary of State Pompeo said Wednesday that the United States is terminating the Treaty of Amity reached with Iran in pre-revolutionary days, calling it an “absolute absurdity” given the tensions between the two countries.

The impetus for the United States tearing up the treaty was a decision earlier Wednesday in the International Court of Justice, which ordered the Trump administration to lift some sanctions on Iran. The top U.N. court, which is in The Hague, does not have the power to enforce its decisions, which are usually ignored by the United States anyway.

SYRIAN WAR REPORT – OCTOBER 4, 2018: ISRAELI MINISTER SAYS F-35 JETS TO BE USED AGAINST S-300

ISIS executed another civilian hostage captured by the terrorist group during the July 25 attack on the government-controlled area in eastern al-Suwayda. A 25-yo Tharawat al-Fadel Abu Amar was killed by two shots in the head, according to a video released by ISIS.

The terrorist group also demanded the Syrian Army to stop its anti-ISIS operation in the area of al-Safa in southern Syria and two release several female members of the terrorist group from prisons.

According to pro-government sources, ISIS is holding about 28 people, mostly women and children, captured during the July 25 attack.

Despite ISIS demands, it’s unlikely that the Syrian Army will abandon its efforts to clear the al-Safa pocket from ISIS members because this decision would mean that the terrorist threat will remain in southern Syria without any chances to be eliminated. According to photos and videos appearing online, the advance is ongoing.

Israeli Minister: S-300 Systems 'Cannot Detect Our Stealth Fighters'

Israeli stealth fighters will be able to avoid being hit by the S-300 missile systems that have just been supplied to Syria by Russia and can possibly destroy them right on the ground, an Israeli official said.

“You know that we have stealth fighters, the best planes in the world. These batteries are not even able to detect them," Tzachi Hanegbi, the country's regional cooperation minister and a non-voting member of its security cabinet, said on Wednesday, referring to the F-35 Joint Strike Fighters that Israel has been getting from the US.

"The operational abilities of the air force are such that those (S-300) batteries really do not constrain the air force's abilities to act," Hanegbi told Israel's Army Radio.

On Tuesday, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Moscow had delivered S-300 missile systems to Syria in order to increase the security of Russian military personnel in the country.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The real unknown, and the primal nightmare, for American and Israeli military is, what if these S-300s are equipped to successfully detect stealth technology?!?

FLORES: Is Russia Playing S-300 Games with Syria? Israel Promises Continued War Crimes

It's time for a balanced and intellectually honest assessment of what's at play

The Israeli settler-colonial Zionist enterprise, appears to be stuck between a rock and a hard place. One the one hand, they are confronted with their unending desire for more power, land, and a weakened state for their imagined opponents. On the other, they are confronted with their insatiable greed, obstinance, bellicosity, arrogance, and inability to differentiate short term from long term interests. These two insurmountable boundaries which define Zionist thinking is what has been leading the doomed project to its eventual dissolution.

Therefore, the news that Israel is not satisfied with the emergence of the S-300 in Syria, but yet cannot fail to carry out military operations in the neighboring country, is of no surprise. In fact Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said as much just on Wednesday in an interview with local radio station Reka.

REVEALED: Canary Mission Blacklist Is Secretly Bankrolled By Major Jewish Federation

One of the largest Jewish charities in the U.S. has been secretly funding a shadowy online blacklist targeting college students who criticize Israel.

For three years, a website called Canary Mission has spread fear among undergraduate activists, posting more than a thousand political dossiers on student supporters of Palestinian rights. The dossiers are meant to harm students’ job prospects, and have been used in interrogations by Israeli security officials.

At the same time, the website has gone to great lengths to hide the digital and financial trail connecting it to its donors and staff. Registered through a secrecy service, the site is untraceable.

Syrian military to be trained to use Russian S-300 systems within three months

It will take three months to train Syrian specialists to use Russian S-300 air defense systems, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Tuesday at a Russian Security Council meeting chaired by President Vladimir Putin.

"We have finished personnel recruitment and have begun to train them," he said.

So far, Russia has supplied Syria with 49 equipment pieces as part of delivery of the S-300 air defense system, Shoigu said.

"In conformity with the presidential decision, we have begun to carry out a number of measures to reinforce Syria’s air defense systems in order to ensure better protection for our servicemen. We have completed the delivery of S-300 systems. It included 49 pieces of equipment, including radars, control vehicles and four launchers," he told a Russian Security Council meeting chaired by President Vladimir Putin.

According to the minister, the delivery was finished a day ago.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation; until the transition has begun to hand off the system to trained Syrian military, it will be Russian military personnel who will be operating this equipment.

I would like to hope that both the US and Israel are not stupid enough to believe that they can continue to strike targets within Syria with impunity, and without running the risks of having their jets blown out of the sky.

These systems are suggested to be able, potentially, to detect stealth vehicles from a considerable distance away, and neutralize them:

The politicisation of the Palestinian right of return is imperative

In its annual report to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People recommended that Israel acknowledges the Palestinian Nakba. The backdrop for such an acknowledgement remains the two-state compromise, which defeats the purpose of the recommendation.

Such recognition, according to the report, is “a necessary requirement for a viable and lasting peace.” The Committee also recommended that “Palestine refugees should be treated as dispossessed nationals of a country – Palestine – rather than stateless refugees.” It refuted the framing of colonisation as “conflict”, stating, “It is not a conflict between two parties over disputed territory. It is one of one State occupying, colonising and annexing the territory of another state.”

US navy plans major show of strength in South China Sea as warning to Beijing

Freedom of navigation operation will take place amid rising tensions and near-collision between USS Decatur and Chinese vessel

The United States Pacific Fleet has drawn up a plan for a major show of force as a warning to China that will indicate its determination to counter Beijing’s military activity, it was reported on Thursday amid rising tension over the disputed South China Sea.

The plan would see planes and ships passing close to Chinese-claimed waters in the South China Sea and Taiwan Strait in a freedom of navigation operation, CNN reported, citing several unnamed US defence officials.

The proposal means US ships and aircraft will be operating close to Chinese forces and is expected to trigger a strong reaction from Beijing.

The US Senate has unanimously passed S. Res. 610, which calls for the declassification and release of tens of thousands of pages of documents relating to Saudi Arabia and the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

The “28 pages” from a 2002 Congressional Joint Inquiry report on the attacks was declassified on July 15, 2016, but large portions of the release remained redacted. This move pushes to finally remove the redactions on these and other documents related to 9/11.

The documents seem to point the finger at the highest level of the government of Saudi Arabia as being responsible for the financial backing for the attackers on 9/11.

S.Res. 610 Resolution Reads as follows:

Urging the release of information regarding the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks upon the United States.

Whereas tens of thousands of pages of documents relating to the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks upon the United States remain classified by the Federal Government;

Whereas the Federal Government may properly classify and control access to information in order to protect sources and methods of collecting critical information in defense of the country and the people of the United States;

‘New reality’? Israel may increasingly use F-35s in Syria raids after Russia’s S-300 delivery

Tel Aviv's self-reserved right to freely strike ‘Iranian targets’ anywhere inside or outside Syria was severely undermined by Moscow’s transfer of S-300 air defense systems and accompanying hardware to Damascus. The surface-to-air interceptors delivered to the Syrian Arab Army, as well as Moscow's resolve to jam the radar, navigation, and communications systems on any aircraft attacking targets in Syria via the Mediterranean coast might complicate missions for Israeli F-15s and F-16s. So, to avert potential threats to their fighter planes, Israel will rely more on the F-35 to carry out its missions in Syria, Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) reported.

“The coming attacks won't be the first, but they will be safer for the pilots in light of the new reality in Syria's skies,” a source within IAF told the radio station, also emphasizing that Israel has every intention to use this “most expensive weapon in the world.”

Israel Will Demand New Weapons From US Amid S-300 Supply to Syria - Scholar

On Tuesday, Russia announced the delivery of batteries of S-300 anti-aircraft missiles to Syria.

In an interview with Sputnik, Egyptian expert on Israel Muhammed Ali said that now that Syria has received S-300 air defense missiles from Russia, Tel Aviv will insist on getting similar weapons from the United States.

He added that the statement Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made on Facebook on Tuesday about his country’s right to self-defense amply proved this.

“Israel realizes that with the deployment of S-300 systems in Syria, it will no longer be able to provide emergency help to militants by striking Syrian military installations from the air,” the expert noted.

This means that Israel is losing its leverage on the situation in Syria and it will now be working hard to obtain new weapons.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The problem is that Israel already has the best weapons the US can produce, and if in fact the S-300 can see the F-35, the game has changed in Syria, and there is nothing the US can send to change it back.

Israel Military Must Release to Gaza Medical Supplies from Gaza Flotilla

For 22 consecutive Fridays, Palestinians have gone to the border with Israel demanding the end to the horrific Israeli blockade of Gaza. Israeli snipers have wounded by gunfire 6729 including 1140 children, 203 women, 78 journalists and 103 paramedics. Among those wounded, 422 are in serious condition and 69 persons' lower or upper limbs were amputated. Thousands of others suffered tear gas inhalation and sustained bruises. The Gaza health facilities need medical supplies.

Two boats of the 2018 Gaza Freedom Flotilla carried 114 boxes of medical supplies-sterile gauze and sutures-for the Gaza health system. By international law, Israel must deliver them to the Gaza border. One month has passed since the Israeli military hijacked the boats, arrested, imprisoned and deported 34 persons on the boats. While the amount of medical supplies is small compared to the massive need, it is critical to force Israel to abide by international law and let medical supplies into Gaza.

Israel shoots 78-year-old Palestinian in Gaza

A 78-year-old Palestinian was shot and killed by Israeli forces yesterday in the central besieged Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza today announced that 78-year-old Ibrahim Ahmad Nassar Al-Arouqi was shot and killed with two live bullets fired by Israeli forces in the east of the Al-Maghazi refugee camp.

The ministry confirmed the news after several hours of investigation that took place after Al-Arouqi was shot to determine whether the bullet was Israeli.

90% of Gaza residents have no access to safe sources of drinking water

Some 89 per cent of the population of Gaza does not have access to safe drinking water, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) announced yesterday.

According to the report, the PCBS said that only 11 per cent of Palestinian families in Gaza have access to safe sources of drinking water, compared to 95 per cent in the West Bank.

Punitive measures imposed by Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas on Gaza was cited as one of the main reasons leading to the dire situation in Gaza.

In 2017, Abbas imposed a number of measures on the Strip in an effort to pressure the people to turn against the Hamas government. The steps included halving salaries of public employees, forcing thousand of employees in to early retirement and stopping payments for the supply of electricity in to the Strip.

PRINCIPLED ANTI ZIONISM ~~ A GUIDE

An optimal anti-Zionism supersedes Palestine’s geography. It likewise transcends ethnocentric interests. Anti-Zionism is a politics and a discourse, sometimes a vocation, but at its best it is also a sensibility, one attuned to disorder and upheaval. It is a commitment to unimaginable possibilities—that is, to realizing what arbiters of common sense like to call “impossible.”

What, then, does a principled anti-Zionism look like? And what might it accomplish? Here are some suggestions:

Anti-Semitism as a Sword: Aggressive Tactics on Israel’s Behalf may Threaten All Jews

Knowing how horrible anti-Semitism can be, why then would anyone in a position of leadership threaten the protection that Jews receive? Crying wolf by alleging racism and anti-Semitism on such trivial grounds, if any, gives the appearance that Jews demand to be protected from the slightest of threats or even comments. What will happen if real, severe acts of anti-Semitism occur in the future. Will others still rush to their aid?

Part 2 of this series will discuss how the actions of the Israel Lobby and Israeli agents themselves also threatens the public perception of fellow Jewish citizens. When politicians are attacked for speaking on behalf of Palestinians and plans are hatched to undermine their positions in government, those without a stake in Israel will take note of the underhanded methods, especially in collusion with foreign agents. Furthermore, squashing dissent on campuses will only heighten the sensitivity to the attempts of Israel’s supporters to suppress free speech.

IAEA fends off Israel pressure over Iran

The UN's nuclear watchdog Tuesday refused to "take at face value" Israel's claims that Iran is harbouring a secret atomic warehouse, fending off pressure to inspect the allegedly suspect site.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made the claim in front of the UN General Assembly last week.

Without explicitly referring to Netanyahu's claim, IAEA chief Yukiya Amano insisted that the agency's independence was "of paramount importance" for its work.

The IAEA "uses all safeguards-relevant information available to it but it does not take any information at face value," Amano said in a statement.

Israeli forces raid East Jerusalem cemetery, destroy tombstones of slain Palestinians

Israeli forces destroyed tombstones in a Palestinian cemetery in occupied East Jerusalem early Monday morning, according to local sources.

Husni al-Kilani, supervisor of the al-Mujahideen cemetery, told Ma’an that he received a call at 3 a.m. on Monday informing him that the lock on the main door of the cemetery had been broken, and that the cemetery had been raided.

According to al-Kilani, armed Israeli forces were deployed at the entrance of the cemetery, while what he claimed were officers dressed as civilians, raided the cemetery and destroyed several tombstones using a variety of hand tools.

Al-Kilani told Ma’an that the destroyed tombstones belonged to Muhammad al-Kaluti, Abdullah Abu Kharroub, Thaer Abu Ghazaleh, Bahaa Elayyan, Muhammad Abu Khalaf, Abed al-Muhsen Hassuneh and Muhammad Nimr, who were all killed by Israeli forces during a wave of violence across East Jerusalem and the West Bank that erupted in October 2015.

R-E-S-PE-C-T: US Threat of Preemptive Strike on Russia ‘Impossible to Take Seriously’

US Envoy to NATO Kay Bailey Hutchison threatened on Tuesday to “take out” banned cruise missiles allegedly in development in Russia before they become operational.

Moscow denies they are developing a medium-range ground-launched system in violation of the Cold War era Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty.

But should the alleged system become operational, "At that point, we would be looking at the capability to take out a missile that could hit any of our countries," Hutchison told reporters, referring to European allies of the US. "Countermeasures would be to take out the missiles that are in development by Russia in violation of the treaty."

International relations and security analyst Mark Sleboda didn't mince words when analyzing the envoy's remarks in an interview with Radio Sputnik's Loud & Clear. Hutchison "just threatened a preemptive attack on Russia. That's what she did today, and she said it twice — she doubled down on it," he said.

In secret recording, Polish PM slams ‘greedy’ Jewish, American hedge fund owners

The recordings of Mateusz Morawiecki complaining to friends about “greedy” and rich “Americans, Jews, Germans, Englishmen, and Swiss” that run hedge funds were published Tuesday by the news site Onet.
Part of a corruption scandal, the remarks appeared in a 3-hour recording of Morawiecki, who was then a senior banker, discussing politics and finance with his friends at a prestigious Warsaw restaurant.

In February, Morawiecki, who does not have a history of public statement about Jews, came under attack for speaking about Jewish collaborators with the Nazis in the Holocaust, equating them with the actions of Poles who collaborated with the Nazis.

IAEA dismisses Israel's call to inspect Iran facility

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has declined to "take at face value" a recent Israel's claim that Iran has a secret atomic warehouse.

"The Agency uses all safeguards relevant information available to it but it does not take any information at face value," IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano said in a statement released on Tuesday.

Although Amano did not make an explicit reference to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's claim against Iran but it is his first public pronouncement since the premier's speech.

"It should be noted that under the existing verification framework, the Agency sends inspectors to sites and locations only when needed," he added

Webmaster's Commentary:

Good for Amano; Israel is attempting to "groom" the UN with any possible excuse in order to get the US attacking Iran and Russia, and Syria.

This most probably means that a false flag is on its way, and soon, with which to sway the world's cynical leadership (and frighten its gullible followers) into yet another war in the Middle East, in order for Israel to gain control of all the oil pipelines in the region.

State Dept Warns of 'Serious Escalation' if Russia Sent S-300 to Syria

The US State Department said that if Russia sent its S-300 air defence systems to Syria, it would lead to a "serious escalation."

The United States hopes Russia did not deploy S-300 air defense systems in Syria because that would lead to a serious escalation of the situation, US Department of State spokesperson Heather Nauert said during a press briefing on Tuesday.

"I cannot confirm that that is accurate. I hope that they did not, that would be a serious escalation and concern," Nauert said when asked about the administration's reaction to reports Russia sent S-300 systems to Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Department of State Spokesperson Nauert, a word please: can you possibly manage to not be quite so behind the reality curve here?!? As of today, 2 October, Russia has made that statement that it has delivered the S-300 system to Syria.

Russia completes delivery of S-300 system to Syria

Forgive me my dear, but in the worlds of my maternal grandmother, "The horse is already out of the barn."

And if I can find this today, by reading the English-language version of Sputnik, why do you feign ignorance at the reality that this is already a done deal?!?

So, Spokesperson Nauert, now what?!? Is the US or Israel going to attack Syria over the Russian delivery of the S-300?!?

Are we going to see a "false flag" happen against American base inside of Syria, to be blamed on Syria, Russia, or Iran?!? Only time will tell.

Video: Israel-Iran Conflict Escalates Further as Netanyahu Comes with New Accusations Against Tehran

On September 27, during a speech to the UN General Assembly, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Iran has a secret “atomic warehouse” near Tehran, which has contained as much as whopping 300 tons of “nuclear-related material.”

Netanyahu also stated that Hezbollah has established three precision missile sites near the Beirut airport.

“In Lebanon, Iran is directing Hezbollah to build secret sites to convert inaccurate projectiles into precision-guided missiles, missiles that can target deep inside Israel within an accuracy of 10 meters,” he stated.

Following the statement, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) released photos showing alleged Hezbollah sites in Beirut that the IDF said are being used to hide underground precision missile production facilities. The IDF claimed that these sites are currently being constructed with Iranian assistance.

According to the Israeli version, Hezbollah began working on these surface-to-surface missile facilities last year.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation; Netanyahu will say and/or do anything to get President Trump to sign off on the US military attacking Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran.

These statements, made 27 September, feel as though they are a prelude to some kind of a false flag, probably coming soon, to be blamed upon one of the one of the above "usual suspects" (most likely, Iran), and we'll be off and running on a war for Israel, but with the primarily costs in blood and money, to be exacted from US troops.

Oct 02 13:49

One Click Closer to Nuclear Annihilation

There are a number of things exaggerated or incorrect in Trump’s description of Iran as well as in the conclusions he draws. The Middle East and other adjacent Muslim countries are in chaos because the United States has destabilized the region starting with the empowering of the Islamist Mujaheddin in the war against Soviet Afghanistan in the 1980s. It then invaded Afghanistan in 2001 followed by Iraq in 2003, enabling the rise of ISIS and giving local al-Qaeda affiliates a new lease on life, before turning on Damascus with the Syria Accountability Act later in the same year and then destroying the Libyan government under Barack Obama. These were, not coincidentally, policies promoted by Israel that received, as a result, bipartisan support in Congress.

‘I felt unable to move an inch, I fell on the ground,’ says sister of 12-year old Palestinian killed in deadliest day in Gaza in weeks

Friday marked one of the deadliest days at the fence that divides the Gaza Strip from Israel since protests began in Gaza last March, as Israeli forced killed seven including two children.

Four of the seven were shot dead east of Gaza City in circumstances where it appears the demonstrators posed no threat to Israeli soldiers. “Amateur videos showed them kneeling down and kissing the ground on the Israeli side as gunfire could be heard,” the AP reported.

The youngest casualties on Friday were Mohammed al-Houm, 14, and Nasser Mosabeh, 12.

The Israeli military estimated around 20,000 Palestinians protested on Friday at multiple sites along the fence. At least 509 were injured, three in serious condition, according to Gaza’s ministry of health. Additionally four paramedics, four journalists and 90 children were shot with live ammunition.

Webmaster's Commentary:

(Warning: potent graphics) Please scroll all the way down to view all the images, and let that figure sink in about how many children were shot with live ammo last Friday.

What country on God's earth, has the collective mindset which allows for the shooting of even one child, let alone 90 kids, and considers it to be perfectly normal, and justifiable?!?

Only Israel's government believes that it can do so with impunity against Palestinian children, and that there will never be a price to be paid for these actions.

But there is a Biblical injunction to which Tel Aviv needs to pay attention, and particularly at this moment in their history, even through they don't believe in that offshoot of Judaism which became Christianity: "That which you sow, you will also reap."

Netanyahu: Hezbollah ‘brazenly lying’ to world about weapons sites

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Lebanese terror group Hezbollah, an Iranian proxy, of “brazenly lying” to the international community over the secret weapons facilities in and around Beirut, which the Israeli premier disclosed on the world stage at the United Nations General Assembly last week.

Netanyahu said in a statement Monday that Lebanese Foreign Minister Gibran Bassil took 73 foreign envoys on a “fraudulent propaganda tour” of the alleged missile sites, where he failed to show them the underground facilities where Hezbollah is reportedly storing precision-guided missiles.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Accusing Hezbollah of "blatantly lying"?!?!?

Mr. Prime Minister, coming from you, the irony in this charge would be utterly delicious, were it not more serious than is a heart attack, in terms of attempting to "groom' the UN in order to "justify" yet another Israeli military incursion into Lebanon.

September 15th, 2018: In the months leading up to the 25th anniversary of the Oslo Accords, the U.S. has colluded with Israel in a string of policies and decisions that completely undermine the legitimacy of the agreement, not to mention Palestinian claims to justice, freedom and ultimately peace. SAUDI STATE SPIES ON DISSIDENTS IN CANADA USING SOFTWARE BUILT BY ISRAELI FIRM

The government of Saudi Arabia is spying on expatriate dissidents in Canada using commercially available software designed by an Israeli company, according to researchers at the University of Toronto. This is alleged in a new report published on Monday by the Citizen Lab, a research unit of the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, which focuses on information technology, international security and human rights. The US Military-Industrial Complex’s Worst Nightmare: The Deployment of Russia’s S-300 Air Defense System In Syria May Destroy and Expose the F-35

In one sense, the delivery of S-300 batteries to Syria is cause for concern more for Washington than for Tel Aviv. Israel has several F-35 and has claimed to have used them in Syria to strike alleged Iranian weapons transfers to Hezbollah. With the S-300 systems deployed in an updated version and incorporated into the Russian command, control and communications (C3) system, there is a serious risk (for Washington) that Israel, now incapable of changing the course of events in Syria, could attempt a desperate maneuver.

It is no secret that Greece purchased S-300s from Russia years ago, and that NATO and Israel have trained numerous times against the Russian air-defense system. Senior IDF officials have often insisted that they are capable taking out the S-300s, having apparently discovered their weaknesses.

6 Palestinians shot dead near Gaza-Israel buffer zone

At least six Palestinians were killed and 90 others injured by Israeli army while taking part in ongoing demonstrations along the Gaza-Israel buffer zone, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.

According to al-Qidra, 90 Palestinians, including 35 children and four women were injured — two of them seriously — by Israeli troops deployed along the other side of the buffer zone.

Netanyahu says Russian supply of S-300 missiles to Syria ‘irresponsible’

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has criticized Russia’s decision to provide advanced anti-aircraft systems to Syria as “irresponsible,” but said Israel was committed to continued deconfliction with Moscow in its military operations in the region.

Speaking to CNN in New York after the annual UN General Assembly, Netanyahu said that he spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier this month after Syrian forces responding to an Israeli airstrike mistakenly shot down a Russian military reconnaissance plane, killing all 15 people on board.

Netanyahu said he told Putin, “Let’s continue this deconfliction, but at the same time, I told him very respectfully and very clearly that Israel will do, will continue to do what it has to do to defend itself.”

As Gaza’s economy collapses, so does any hope of peace

The moment long feared is fast approaching in Gaza, according to a new report by the World Bank. After a decade-long Israeli blockade and a series of large-scale military assaults, the economy of the tiny coastal enclave is in “freefall”.

At a meeting of international donors in New York on Thursday, coinciding with the annual meeting of the United Nations General Assembly, the World Bank painted an alarming picture of Gaza’s crisis. Unemployment now stands at close to 70 per cent and the economy is contracting at an ever faster rate.

While the West Bank’s plight is not yet as severe, it is not far behind. Countries attending the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee were told. Gaza’s collapse could bring down the entire Palestinian banking sector.

In response, Europe hurriedly put together a €40 million aid package, but that will chiefly address Gaza’s separate humanitarian crisis – not the economic one – by improving supplies of electricity and potable water.

Shutting Down Free Speech in America: Government and Lobbyists Work Together to Destroy the First Amendment

During the past several years, there has been increased pressure coming from some in the federal government aided and abetted powerful advocacy groups in the private sector to police social and alternative media. It is a multi-pronged attack on the First Amendment which has already limited the types of information that Americans have access to, thereby narrowing policy options to suit those in power

The process has been ostensibly driven by concerns over alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election, but it is really about who controls and limits the public’s right to know what is going on out of sight in Washington and New York City, where politics and money come together. If one is interested in the free flow of information and viewpoints that comes with the alternative media, it certainly does not look that way. Robert Parry described it as a deliberate process of “demonizing and silencing dissent that questions mainstream narratives.”
