The Future of 3D Printing

By Brian Berletic

For emerging technologies it is not always easy to tell what the future holds for it. However, for 3D printing, this doesn't apply. 3D printing is actually not new at all. It has been around since at least as early as the 1980s.

Since the 1980s, 3D printing has been making it possible to prototype new ideas faster, more accurately, and more efficiently than ever before. Starting in the mid-2000s 3D printing went from a professional tool employed by large companies and design firms, to a form of personal manufacturing accessible to a larger number of regular people.

Looking at where 3D printing has been and where it is now, we can confidently predict where it is heading with some degree of accuracy...

Will Central Banks Abolish Cash?

By Mark Nestmann

Cash has never been a popular asset with the totalitarian set. It’s difficult, if not impossible, to trace. Cash makes it possible to do business “off the books.”

For decades, with the US leading the effort, governments have engaged in a War on Cash. The original justification for this war was to fight racketeering. The War on Cash morphed into the War on Drugs, then the War on Money Laundering, and subsequently, the War on Terror.

But now, central banks and their lackey governments have a new rationale for the War on Cash: the very existence of cash makes it more difficult to enforce negative interest rates...

Ex-NSA security staffer: Apple Macs are wide open to malware

Patrick Wardle, a former NSA staffer and NASA intern who now heads up research at crowd-sourced security intelligence firm Synack, found that Apple’s defensive Gatekeeper technology can be bypassed allowing unsigned code to run. Apple’s Gatekeeper utility is pre-installed in Mac OS X PCs and used to verify code. The tool is designed so that by default it will only allow signed code to run or, depending on settings, only packages from the Mac App Store.

Canada lost 20,000 jobs in April

Canada's economy shed almost 20,000 jobs in April as a small uptick in full-time work was more than offset by a large drop in part-time jobs.

Statistics Canada reported Friday that the unemployment rate stayed steady at 6.8 per cent.

The loss of 19,700 jobs was worse than the 5,000 that a consensus of economists was expecting, according to Bloomberg.

Greece bailout sinks further into jeopardy as government slashes growth forecast to just 0.8%

The international bailout that Greece is relying on to stay solvent was thrown into jeopardy today when the Government revealed that it expects its economy to grow at just 0.8 per cent this year.

That is well below the 1.4 per cent Greece told its international lenders in March and a fraction of the 2.9 per cent forecast it used to formulate its 2015 budget.

Reuters news agency said that the finance ministry reform plan raises fresh questions about the European Union/IMF bailout, over which talks resume on Monday.

US Tells Greece To Reject Putin Pipeline Marking Return To Cold War Politics

In short order, it leaked that Moscow was set to advance Greece $5 billion against the future potential profits from the pipeline, a payment which we characterized as a get-out-of-Troika-jail free card and although conflicting reports emerged thereafter regarding just how soon money would actually be flowing from Moscow to Athens, discussions around the pipeline continued to move forward when Gazprom chief Alexei Miller visited Greece late last month to discuss “current energy issues of interest.”

That visit proved more than Europe could bear, and so the European Commission promptly filed antitrust charges against the Russian gas giant in an absurdly transparent attempt to punish the Kremlin for interfering in negotiations between the EU and its Aegean debt serf.

Enron accounting and the collapse of Social Security: “It is going to be insolvent before everyone thinks”

Rumors of the collapse of the Social Security program have long been a topic of discussion with many believing that the program will collapse much sooner than the government claims, in turn leading to the start of civil unrest when Americans both young and old realize that a program they have put money into their entire life is gone.

Jade Helm:Some Thoughts From Army ATC and Friends

by ArmyATC » Sat Apr 04, 2015 3:16 pm
A lot of people are trying to decode what jade Helm means. But very few are looking at the second line , which is the overall mission objective.

In combat ops there are 5 phases of combat. I'm not going to go into detail, but you can find it. But phase 0 operations are relatively new. In the NDAA 2014, if you read through it, it provides increasing the budget for phase 0 operation.

What this is. Well this has to do with using infiltration techniques to identify who will be a problem BEFORE the fighting begins. Identifying individuals and groups that would be assessed by the military as possible non state actors.

That way, they can extract these individuals before ops begin thus severely limiting organized resistance.

McRaven: Success in Human Domain Fundamental to Special Ops

While special operations forces are comfortable in the realms of traditional warfare, the human domain is perhaps more important -- both to the troops and to policy makers, McRaven said.

The human domain encompasses the totality of the physical, cultural, and social environments that influence human behavior, he explained. Success in this domain won't be achieved by traditional ground, naval or air forces, he added.

“Instead, success in the human domain will depend upon understanding the human terrain and establishing trust with those humans who occupy that space,” the admiral said. Building understanding and trust takes time, but once it’s built, “we can apply unique capabilities that are designed to assess, analyze, operate and prevail in population-centric strategies or struggles,” he said.

Human Terrain System

The Human Terrain System (HTS) is a United States Army, Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) support program employing personnel from the social science disciplines – such as anthropology, sociology, political science, regional studies and linguistics – to provide military commanders and staff with an understanding of the local population (i.e. the "human terrain") in the regions in which they are deployed

A Brief Overview Of ABI And Human Domain Analytics

In Iraq, the Intelligence Community was tasked with finding terrorists and insurgents bent on harming US Forces and their interests. These terrorists or insurgents rarely performed activities that were dissimilar from non-terrorists (especially in the planning phases). In terms of Iraqi mysteries, the questions were “Will something happen?” and “How can we predict it and prevent it?” Analysts began to develop techniques to address these mysteries using any means at their disposal to aggregate these activities, assess transactions, and develop networks of interest.

Thinking Differently: Unlocking the Human Domain in Support of the 21st Century Intelligence Mission

People are the currency of the human domain; their visible behaviors and symbols are one of the only ways to really discern their thoughts and motivations. Add in the cultural complexity of differing worldviews, beliefs and values that play on those thoughts and motivations and the domain becomes even less certain to decode. Factor in that U.S. military and civilian personnel directly, and indirectly, influence the course of interactions and behavior in the domain and the human domain becomes incredibly layered and dense, where meaning and purpose is difficult to extract and effort and skill necessary for success within the domain difficult to master.

Adaptations Required To Survive In The Human Domain

Indeed,if America ever finds itself once again contesting in wars in which the object is not the destruction of enemy forces but instead to influence relevant populations toward our desired ends, then Army formations and land forces must understand the people they are trying to influence.

Dane Wigington, Matt Stannard, Marc Armstrong on “It’s Our Money”

At what point are you willing to challenge your own notions of what’s really going on? Can you even imagine that the mavens of the Money Power would threaten human survival to serve themselves for even bigger personal profits? Ellen’s guest, researcher Dane Wigington, has a trove of data to suggest that they would. And they do so in the form of geoengineering, a covert tool allegedly being used to control natural systems for private profit.

Specialty trade contractors are credited with 41,000 jobs equally split between residential and nonresidential. I believe these are home and building repairs and remodeling.

The rest of the jobs, 182,000, are in domestic services.

Despite store closings and weak retail sales, 12,000 people were hired in retail trade.

Putin's Greek Pawn Gambit

In my earlier blog post on 17 March of this year, Hey Obama -- The Chess Match Just Started, I broached the idea that Greece's request for major war reparations from Germany for the WW-II NAZI invasion and occupation of Greece, and associated war crimes, could plausibly be seen as a sly gambit by multiple countries to ultimately ensnare the war-mongering USSA and bring it to heel.

America’s richest congressman says poor in the US are ‘envy of the world’

California GOP Rep. Darrell Issa was challenged by CNN Money correspondent Cristina Alesci on Thursday after he seemingly downplayed income inequality issues in the US.

“America’s the richest country on Earth because we've been able to put capital together and we've been able to make our poor somewhat the envy of the world,” Issa told Alesci.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A memo to Congressional Representative Issa: you really need to get out more before you make a statement like that.

Because the manufacturing that used to prop up the American Middle Class has been outsourced/offshored, many people are only left with the possibility of working several jobs, at minimum wage, so there is little to no upward mobility left, sir.

WITH BANKS 'STILL TOO BIG TO FAIL,' ANOTHER FINANCIAL MELTDOWN LOOMS

"The top six bank holding companies are considerably larger than before, and are still permitted to borrow excessively relative to the assets they hold," the report states. "They are dangerously interconnected and remain vulnerable to sudden runs, because they borrow billions of dollars from wholesale lenders who can often demand their cash back each and every day." (Photo:Butz.2013/flickr/cc)

Seven years after the financial crisis began, many of the conditions that helped cause the near collapse of the U.S. banking system—and that were used to justify the multi-trillion-dollar U.S. government bailout of mammoth financial institutions—endure, warns a new report from the Corporate Reform Coalition (CRC).

Webmaster's Commentary:

Those in power refuse to learn from past mistakes, which makes certain that the US is headed toward another financial collapse, with the taxpayer ultimately paying the bill, of course).
