KABUL: The United States would withdraw almost 5,000 troops from Afghanistan and close five bases within 135 days under a draft peace accord agreed with the Taliban, the chief US negotiator Zalmay Khalilzad said on Monday.

The deal, reached after months of negotiations with representatives from the insurgent movement, must still be approved by US President Donald Trump before it can be signed, Khalilzad said in an interview with Tolo News television. "In principle, we have got there," he said.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has been briefed on a draft of the accord and will look at details of the deal before giving an opinion, his spokesman said on Monday.

In exchange for the phased withdrawal, the Taliban would commit not to allow Afghanistan to be used by militants to plot attacks on the US and its allies.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This sounds great; but I am not holding my breath here, until I see a consummation of this agreement from all parties which were signatories to it.

Gov. Greg Abbott issued eight executive orders Thursday in response to last month’s mass shootings in El Paso and Odessa.

“Texas must achieve several objectives to better protect our communities and our residents from mass shootings,” Abbott said in a statement. “I will continue to work expeditiously with the legislature on laws to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous criminals, while safeguarding the 2nd Amendment rights of law-abiding Texans.”

The orders focus largely on strengthening law enforcement’s ability to respond to and prevent future shootings, mainly through improving reporting channels and closing "information gaps" when members of the public or law enforcement agencies worry that a person might be a threat to commit violence. But, Abbott's office added in a news release, "legislative solutions are still needed."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Governor Abbott, a word, please; it appears that you feel compelled to "do something" about horrendous mass shootings in your state.

One of the logical things you could do, is to see if any people doing these kinds of acts, are on any chemical medications to treat depression, etc., which means that the name of the person's Doctor needs to be on every gun application for a fire arm which gets inspected for approval, or denial.

I do not know if any of your Cabinet has seen this website, but as you pursue your desire to keep the citizens of Texas safe, please have someone look at the following website:

When suicidal, or homicidal thoughts happen with people on these kinds of "serotonin selective reuptake inhibitors", it usually when people are just starting, or trying to get off these drugs.

You are welcome, Governor Abbott.

Thanks to the ingenuity of a blind inventor, people who lack sight can more easily navigate the world. The “smart cane,” or WeWalk cane, uses ultrasonic sensors to warn the user of nearby objects and obstacles through vibrations in the handle.

As CNN reports, the purpose of the device is to protect people from low-hanging objects and obstacles above chest level. Not only can the can be paired with a smartphone’s Bluetooth system for easy control but is is also integrated with Voice Assistant and Google Maps Software. Furthermore, the WeWalk cane has built-in speakers the user of nearby stores and infrastructural details that may not easily be detected.

Notably, the CEO and co-founder of WeWalk, Kursat Ceylan, is blind himself. He told CNN that he was inspired to develop the cane to help other blind people benefit from modern technology.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Bravo to this guy, and how he has used technology to create a better way for visually-impaired people to get around!!

(SC Op-Ed) — There have been several interesting developments in the United States government’s war on free speech and privacy.

First of all, the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Customs and Border Protection Agency (CBP), which is responsible for actual entry of travelers into the country, has now declared that it can legally access phones and computers at ports of entry to determine if there is any subversive content which might impact on national security.

“Subversive content” is, of course, subjective, but those seeking entry can be turned back based on how a border control agent perceives what he is perusing on electronic media.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF you have been in denial about living in a "soft, but hardening" dictatorship", I think the above article should be a very strident wake-up call, that you have been utterly dead wrong about this.

Unfortunately, neither Mike nor I can ever visit Israel; and as a Christian pacifist activist, I would love to go.

But sadly, as people who want to see both a flowering Israel and a flowering Palestine, and do support BDS, because economics is a language Israelis understand well, I understand fully, that this can never happen.

Given this reality, we would probably get so physically beaten up at Ben-Gurion Airport, courtesy of the IDF, and thrown, head first, on a flight back to the mainland, that we would most probably be wheelchair-bound for the rest of our lives, were we idiotic enough to try to go.

Hell, look at what happened to peace activists on the Flotilla of the Mari Marave, 2010: As mentioned in Gaza Flotilla Raid, 2010 The article goes on to state:

" The Gaza flotilla raid was a military operation by Israel against six civilian ships of the "Gaza Freedom Flotilla" on 31 May 2010 in international waters in the Mediterranean Sea. Nine activists were killed on one ship during the raid and ten Israeli soldiers were wounded, one seriously. One further Turkish activist died later of his wounds. Three of the six flotilla ships, organized by the Free Gaza Movement and the Turkish Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief (İHH), were carrying humanitarian aid and construction materials, with the intention of breaking the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip. Israel had warned the flotilla to abort their mission, describing it as a provocation.[1]

So, peace activists, desperately trying to bring humanitarian aid into Gaza, and their travels to get there, are characterized by the Israeli government as a "provocation"?!?

Kindly remember this incident, when any Pro-Israeli Influencer you know, tries, desperately to remind you, that "Israel is the 'only democracy in the Middle East'.
And also, take a look at how Israel is briskly annexing lots of land in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, the result of which will be the prevention of a contiguous State of Palestine... from ever being realized.

Recent drone footage of Little Saint James reveals strange activity and telling facts about the Jeffrey Epstein investigation since his death. As expected, everything points towards a massive cover-up. Here are the most revealing images captured by drones in the past weeks.

Ever since Jeffrey Epstein’s highly suspicious death in a maximum-security prison, things only got more suspicious. Although the autopsy officially concluded that the cause of death was suicide, a steady flow of facts and revelations are strongly hinting towards a massive cover-up.

Considering the fact that LittLe Saint James was the site of heinous crimes involving powerful people, one would expect the island to be treated like a crime scene that is completely closed off to non-investigators. That is not what is happening.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The rich seldom eat their own.

And yes, these images are very disturbing.

But please remember: there is an unofficial category of "cleaners", from various of the US alphabet soup agencies, who are designated as "site cleaners", when exculpatory evidence is left behind, to clean up, and obfuscate what really happened as much as humanly possible.

The Blair Witch Project: The First Viral Vlog?

Remember when The Blair Witch Project came out in 1999? People either loved it or hated it, but no matter which side of the fence you are on, you have to admit that this film was groundbreaking. Shot in just eight days, with a tiny budget, and no big-studio marketing blitz, The Blair Witch Project created a lot of buzz, conversations, and debates…as well as $250 million in box office revenues. On the 20th anniversary of The Blair Witch Project, let’s look back to see what made this movie so special and why it is, essentially, the world’s first viral vlog ever. Before viral videos, and even the internet, were even a thing, The Blair Witch Project is the first ever vlog to go "viral," before the internet had even invented the term.

The Nimrod Expedition: Shackleton's Earlier Ill-Fated Antarctic Trek

If you were a fan of the 2002 real-life adventure movie Shackleton, then you know the story of how British explorer Ernest Shackleton kept his men alive after their ship was crushed in the freezing ice of Antarctica. Did you know that Shackleton made a few other journeys to the frozen continent prior to this 1914--1916 expedition? The first of these trips ended with Shackleton's humiliation, so on the second trip, the explorer had something to prove. This is the story of Shackleton's second trip to Antarctica and the first in which he commanded the expedition, which became known as the Nimrod Expedition.

Iran’s Legitimate Ballistic Missile Program Solely for Defense

by Stephen Lendman ( – Home – Stephen Lendman)

US, NATO, Israeli missiles and other weapons are used time and again for naked aggression.

Judge them by their actions, warrior states, global menace nations, threatening everyone everywhere.

The Islamic Republic of Iran never attacked another country preemptively. It’s the leading regional proponent of peace and stability.

It’s targeted by the US for regime change because of its sovereign independence, support for Palestinian rights, and its vast hydrocarbon resources Washington seeks control over.

It’s also Israel’s main regional rival, the Jewish state and the US wanting pro-Western puppet rule replacing its sovereign independence.

The Future Of The Spectacle... Or How The West Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Reality Police

Authored (satirically) by CJ Hopkins via,

If you want a vision of the future, don’t imagine “a boot stamping on a human face — for ever,” as Orwell suggested in 1984. Instead, imagine that human face staring mesmerized into the screen of some kind of nifty futuristic device on which every word, sound, and image has been algorithmically approved for consumption by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (“DARPA”) and its “innovation ecosystem” of “academic, corporate, and governmental partners.”

The screen of this futuristic device will offer a virtually unlimited range of “non-divisive” and “hate-free” content, none of which will falsify or distort the “truth,” or in any way deviate from “reality.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

So what about Christian Pacifist Activists, like myself, who never advocate violence, but gently and logically ask their government to find ways of resolving geopolitical conflicts without resorting to war?!?!?

When will we get pulled into the ghettos of the non-politically correct, for the rest of our natural lives?!? When those attempting to tell the truth, albeit hard for most Americans to swallow (like the US enabling of Saudi troops in Yemen, slaughtering thousands of non-combatants in a continuing "killing field" which targets infants; women;and the medically fragile elderly), what happens then?!?

When telling the truth has become an illegal act, it should be crystal clear, even to most thick-headed Americans, that the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika, has made the last, and definitive step, into that dark realm called "soft dictatorship", from which it can never recover.

In fact, we are almost there right now.

And if you have never seen the director's cut of Terry Gilliam's "Brazil", please buy it; because, folks, this is precisely where this country has been heading, and for quite a long time. Gilliam is not only a brilliant film maker; in this, he was also truly a prophet.
